Busy cafe (came on a Sunday) with a good size food menu and lots of coffee, tea, and even smoothie options. It was bustling but not noisy and I was able to easily get a table. You order at the register and then pick your food up at the counter and self bus. Casual place. The wrap I had was MASSIVE and tasty, I would definitely get it again. The mocha I had was also delicious, and not too sweet.

Came here around 10am on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. We ordered and sat outside. After a little while we went back to check on our drinks and they were ready. The food took a little longer but it was all really good.

I adore this place. It's quiet, cozy and inviting. On top of that, the coffee and food is pretty great. I love working from here when I need to get out the house. The Local has free WiFi, friendly staff, good music. All the things you want in a local coffee spot.

Chill cafe in Alameda. I came here to catch up with a friend and enjoyed our time here. They have a large variety of cold and hot drinks (coffee, tea, smoothies, etc.) as well as pastries and food. My friend and I met here on Saturday around 2 pm and most of the tables were occupied. Seems to be a popular spot for people to work or chat. I had lunch already, but I got a gold coast smoothie for $6.95. My friend got a chocolate chip frappe for $6.75. Both drinks were ready in minutes. We each enjoyed our drink and slowly sipped away as we chatted until the cafe closed at 4. Would recommend to anyone looking for chill vibes along Park Street!

The coffee got me in the door, the avocado toast kept me curious, and the GREEN POWER sealed the deal. I meant to take it with me -- instead, I sat down and gave it the respect it deserved. Fresh, flavorful, and absolutely not sharing. Devoured!

Support Local, pun intended. Had time to kill before our 10am meeting so I decided to get breakfast for my wife and I can always drink more coffee. Quality/Quantity - Small coffee (yes, I hit Starbucks in SL this morning...) and a Spinach Mushroom Croissant for my wife. All was good. Atmosphere - Small "local" business. Indoor and some outdoor seating. Metered street parking, but I parked 4 blocks away to get free parking as I will be in the area for a few hours and did not want to worry about the meter. Books and games, probably more for the evening crowd. Seemed like everyone was working here this morning. Service - Good, professional. Counter service. Need a bathroom code, but after I asked, my wife noticed the code taped to the door; see picture. Clean bathroom. Also see the picture of the toilet sign. Why why am I seeing more and more of these signs everywhere??? Price - $8 + generous tip. Owner Comments - Congrats on your success since 2017, we always try to support "Local," lol.

Love this place! Great coffee, delicious food, and super friendly staff. The matcha latte was creamy and perfect, and the breakfast sandwich hit the spot. Cozy vibe --

Very friendly staff. The place was filled with people and music from a local artist. The vibe was as if a coffee shop and a diner had a baby. Coffee was solid

Nice brunch spot with classic breakfast fare - the breakfast sandwich hits the spot and isn't too salty or heavy. The drinks are fantastic as well, with some fun and unique options. The Yuzu Espresso Tonic is refreshing and has a strong yuzu flavor. It's lightly effervescent but a little bitter, and benefited from adding sweeteners. The Strawberry Lemonade was tangy and fruity (give it a good stir!), perfect for a warm summer day. It's a nice spot to spend some time in, with a shelf towards the back full of books and classic games like Taboo and checkers. With so many other shops in the area, The Local is a great way to start your day.

the ambiance is sweet and humble. you can tell everyone was actually a local! they have big, picnic style tables as well as little nooks in the corner for a more intimate experience. food and drinks were yummy, egg sammy was so HEFTY i couldn't eat it all! Breakfast Sandwich + Matcha

I was in the area and needed somewhere to study. Found this cool spot and loved it. They have a pretty spacious indoor seating area with both tables and couches to sit at. A lot of choices for both drinks and food. We came around breakfast time and got the breakfast sandwich and some drinks. The hot chocolate and ube latte were so good! The best part about ordering for dine in is that you get some cute mugs with your hot drinks. Loved the ambiance and they had wifi which was convenient. Plenty of parking around the area I will definitely be coming back:D

Such a chill coffee shop. I love the 2 areas with sofa chairs in the front, as well as the variety of regular tables + high boys. I had the matcha latte with a cookie - delicious! Service was quick, simple, and pleasant. Will be back!

I came in around 8:30, a few tables outside had people drinking their coffees and eating breakfast. When I walked in, only one guy was waiting for his order. There was only one person working. I understand she was the only one preparing coffee and food. I'm not trying to complain about the wait, but the lack of acknowledging a customer to say it will take some time. I finally ordered an iced latte. I do think they have some creative drinks, but I know they are usually too sweet and I just opt for a plain iced latte instead. It was an ok latte, nothing amazing. They have a bulletin board for people to post their flyers or business cards. There was a card on the board that said A.W.A.R - All woke are retards. I'm sure that's not the view of the establishment. I do think they need to screen the board from time to time.

I have been a regular at Alameda Marketplace's The Beanery off Park Street (since college days LOL), when it comes to coffee & espresso beverages (usually my go-to) - but this small, independent coffee shop is as special as it can get! I was thrilled to make a pit stop here for a fresh cup of joe before I headed to nearby St. Philip Neri's for morning mass - and little did I know that you can hella walk to and from this place to the church with no need to get in your car to drive and park! #lessonlearned Upon my first impression & first time here, I already felt the sense of inclusivity & hospitality, since it seems like a regular place for folks within this part of Alameda - and I have GOT TO try their Vietnamese Coffee on my next visit, LOL. A small coffee shop that bursts to its seams - they have fresh-baked doughnuts & pastries, along with breakfast sandwiches, and other snacks that you wouldn't think of being available at this tiny establishment! Don't let the location and atmosphere fool you - this has been a family-friendly/oriented neighborhood staple amongst the regulars & from what I have skimmed along these reviews. Glad I found this place, and I now know where to get coffee once I step foot on the Island City of the East Bay! This is truly a #shiftlocal destination for those who support local all the way!

Mint Iced Vietnamese Coffee ($6ish/5*). Tried this during the last holidays and it was fantastic. I already love Vietnamese coffee and this had a soft cream on top with grated mint candy. So festive and just hit for that season. Wonder if they can do it all year round? Smoked Salmon Bagel ($9.50/4*) Nice toasty smaller bagel with all the usuals of soft lox n cream cheese, capers and red onions. Loved the compact size as it didn't put a lead weight in my gut in the AM hours. The bagel crust tho is kinda hard and brittle, almost crouton hard which I thought was strange. But the interior was indeed soft yet chewy. Iced Cold Brew ($4/4*) Pretty smooth. I only asked for a kiss of cream and it was just right. I prefer a more robust roast finish but still quite serviceable. I liked how the owner knew a lot of the customers by name. Since I'm not a reg, I actually was the only one who didn't get called by name on a weekday morning. Love the small town vibe and even tho not a reg, I'd still hit this up if in the neighborhood.
