We continue to drive our children to Baldwin every morning. It is so valuable to have a place we can trust while my husband and I work in the City. I am a mother of three kids and had my oldest enter TT at age 2, she stayed until she finished the pre-k program and entered kindagarden. My child is more than prepared for her first year of elementary school. She loved every day of Tutor time and often asks to visit her teachers. My middle child started out in the infant room with Miss Jackie and Miss Denise at 3 months, I cannot not say enough about these two ladies. They go above and beyond to give the infants all the love and attention you could want your small baby to have. They sit with them, play with them, they even do arts and crafts. My middle boy, now 3, is so bonded to them because of the amount of care given to him from the start. The other teachers have really carried through as he has grown and developed. Currently, my now 7 month old has been exclusively with Miss Jackie, it gives me great comfort that he gives her the biggest smile and baby hug every morning when I drop him off. My son contracted a bacteria. What was completely disheartening was that not one staff member reached out to see if he was ok (he was out for 14 days). He had a rash, diarrhea and the doctor could not treat his original ear infection until they could figure out the bacteria which they said could only contracted there. As a result, bacteria created a toxic reaction with various antibiotics. This type of corporate run business in not where you want to send your child for proper warm and loving care for their development. At the end of it, my son was suffering and not one person cared enough to see if he was ok. I had to miss work for weeks at a time, battling to keep my job, and gave up a proper babysitter for this cold and heartless childcare facility. Disgusting! I know it is expected your child get sick from daycare exposure is only natural but this was not normal. The staff could care less and the director is not pleasant to deal with at all. The director Christina should win an Oscar for her acting skills. She will promise you the world and pretend that she cares about your child. We wanted a daycare closer to home so we decided to switch our child over to Tutor Time. Once your child is enrolled, you actually see the horrific practices of this establishment. There is absolutely​ no structure. Children do whatever they want. There is always a different adult in the room. Additionally, they are not compliant with the state laws, which requires 1 teacher for every 5 toddlers. My child was often in a room with 7 other children and 1 unfamiliar face. As previous reviews mentioned, this is a puppy mill that only wants your money. During an 8 hour day, my child's diaper was only changed twice. State law requires that diapers be changed every 2 hours. One of the many teachers​ we saw often spoke down to the children, "you guys are three and you don't know how to place your hands on the wall?" We often walked past the infant room in the afternoon and saw babies crying hysterically because no one was paying attention to them. One day, another baby was biting the edge of a bookshelf as she was teething. No one stopped her from biting the bookshelf and its varnish coating. My maternal instinct knew something was wrong but I just needed my little one to last a few weeks until June. I asked my brother to pick up my little one from Tutor Time because I was going to be at work past my regular schedule. My brother and his girlfriend went in before my usual pick up time and upon walking to the classroom they saw the teacher, Janet, DRAGGING MY CHILD BY ONE ARM ACROSS 5 FEET OF CARPET. THIS DISGUSTING HUMAN BEING ATTEMPTED TO PICK UP MY CHILD BY ONE ARM AND DROPPED HIM. My brother immediately​ told the director, who did not remove Janet from the classroom for another two hours. Christina, the director, was suddenly worried about ratio issues. Compliance is never a concern for them but that day it was. Furthermore, Christina forced herself to cry, in an attempt to show empathy. We were promised the video evidence within 48 hours. We are way past the 48-hour deadline and still waiting for answers. Run far away from this place. I would never want this to happen to any other child.

More than a daycare. More than a school. More like Family!…read more I'm sad as I write this review because this is my son's last week at Little Sponges. Both he and my daughter attended this wonderful school. Now that we've moved and he will be attending another daycare, I realize how special Little Sponges is and how much we will miss it. When my daughter was born 7 years ago we looked at many daycare places. Most were chains and many were run by young people that didn't have kids themselves. When we came to see Little Sponges I immediately liked the fact that it was family owned and run. The director has her own kids at the school, as well as the owner's grandkids. Linda the owner gave us her cell phone number the first day and has always been available to take our call anytime we needed to speak with her. Safety and security were our top concern. I liked that the building had high windows in each classroom, but also there was cinder block all around the building. We saw many daycares that had all glass walls right next to the parking lot, and I was concerned that a car could jump the curb and go through the glass. Not the case at Little Sponges. There's a double set of locked doors, one as you enter the lobby and then another to access the main daycare area. Also Little Sponges has security cameras everywhere with recording. If there's any sort of incident its recorded and the parents can view it. There's a fingerprint computer check in and check out. If someone else has to pick up your child you can call in advance and they have to show proper ID. The classrooms are all very large and very clean. There's a large gym and a very big indoor play area. I can't tell you how many times its been raining outside but my kids had a great time running around and playing in the indoor play area which includes multiple slides and play areas. Little Sponges serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks which is very convenient for the days when we're running late and didn't have time for breakfast at home. Also they're open from 6:30am to 6:30pm so the extended care hours are very convenient for the days that my wife and I have to work either early or late. The classes all follow an age-focused curriculum. From the infants room where they are learning to crawl and walk, to the twoddlers and creative nursery classes where they are learning shapes, colors, numbers, etc. The Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 curriculum is outstanding. When my daughter went into public school Kindergarten, she was actually bored with the school work because she was so well prepared and so advanced from her learning at Little Sponges. Besides the academic curriculum, Little Sponges also has lots of amazing arts. In the classroom the children make beautiful crafts that you will actually want to hang in your home. There's an amazing dance program as well. My daughter started dance with ballet, jazz, and hip-hop. They also do father-daughter and mother-son dances with a recital at the end of the year. I did two father-daughter group dances with my daughter, and I'm so glad I did. It was an amazing experience and I'll never forget it as long as I live. There are exceptional teachers and staff members I would like to recognize as well. Roberto is an amazing teacher and an all-around great guy. Cher is also an amazing teacher and cares so much for her kids. She's pretty much family to us now! Carmen, Marcos, and Yury are also great and we love them! I'm not sure what else I can say about Little Sponges. They're not perfect but then again nobody is. My wife and I could have sent our children anywhere, and we chose Little Sponges. I have recommended Little Sponges many times and would do so again without hesitation.

Teachers and leadership absolutely don't care about the kids. My child was learning to walk during his time there and he lived with a constant massive bruise on his forehead, because apparently he kept falling against furniture. He hasn't hit his head once at home or other daycares (he is three now) but it was an every day issue there. The first time he got hit it was so bad and burst in tears when I saw him, teacher didn't come out, didn't talk to me or provide any explanation, when I asked to speak with her and the Director I got a shoulder shrug and an "it happens". I literally just pay you to keep my kid safe. He isn't learning math or colors, you aren't doing anything other than keeping him safe ... and this is your answer? They supposedly have a in house nurse. She didn't see him ONCE. When we asked what they did after he got such a hit in the head they said they put water... it isn't a cut, at the bare minimum apply ice and call me. Nope. In addition, they don't allow you into the building (except when I was complaining about the fall, they made sure I went inside so other parents didn't see me and my son) and the windows are always covered, that should had been my first sign to run away. His white clothes kept coming nasty from crawling, they clearly did not take shoes off on the infant room. Finally, for pick up, you just ring, say the name of your child and a person that doesn't know me or my child brings him out to whoever takes him. What security is this??? Run, run away from this place!!
