They really need to have more parking available. The spots are so limited and so close together, you're virtually guaranteed to have your car dented at least once per year if you drop off 4-5 times per week. If you drop off at 8am or pick up near 6pm, a gridlock often occurs where you're delayed by 5 mins to get in or out of the parking lot. During bad weather, if local schools are closed, you can be assured that Tutor Time is closed too. Any excuse to not open or close early, and they'll take it. On the positive side, we were fortunate to have several caring instructors throughout the many years we used TT for my 2 children (from 3 mos to 5 yrs). UPDATE June 2012: Had to take my kids out because they kept getting reinfected by a lice infestation at Tutor Time. Twice, my kids were sent home and NO LICE were found... only unviable nits. Misdiagnosis and reinfection had cost my family time and money. I dropped my review to 2 stars after this debacle. Update: June 2013: I understand TT has new management. Will give them TT a try again for the summer. read more

I love tutor time! They have a such a friendly staff and they all love and interact with the kids. Updates through out the day with pictures, meals and potty involving the parent. Lessons where they actually learn and have fun! Parking is not bad there's extra parking across the street. The meals are well balanced and they include diapers/wipes for a small fee so less of a hassle! Perfect daycare. My first daycare experience and not scary at all. Been bringing my son here lately for backup care and my experience has been great. The staff has been very friendly and welcoming. The director Toni met me at the door the first day to introduce herself and answer any questions and I've had great interactions with her since. Tutor time baldwin is top notch for a working family. It is a safe, clean, interactive fun place to leave you children while you go to work. My family moved from Baldwin to Bellmore last year and we quickly found after searching every option that we could not match TT baldwin in a three town radius. We continue to drive our children to Baldwin every morning. It is so valuable to have a place we can trust while my husband and I work in the City. I am a mother of three kids and had my oldest enter TT at age 2, she stayed until she finished the pre-k program and entered kindagarden. My child is more than prepared for her first year of elementary school. She loved every day of Tutor time and often asks to visit her teachers. My middle child started out in the infant room with Miss Jackie and Miss Denise at 3 months, I cannot not say enough about these two ladies. They go above and beyond to give the infants all the love and attention you could want your small baby to have. They sit with them, play with them, they even do arts and crafts. My middle boy, now 3, is so bonded to them because of the amount of care given to him from the start. The other teachers have really carried through as he has grown and developed. Currently, my now 7 month old has been exclusively with Miss Jackie, it gives me great comfort that he gives her the biggest smile and baby hug every morning when I drop him off. Both of my boys come home clean and happy everyday. I could not ask for more! read more

My two sons attend this daycare since 2019 since they was little the daycare was good at the time until 2020 when all the staff changed in the middle of pandemic. My son is 3 years old had no behavioral problems until the staff changed he hate going there. Hes been going since 1.They treated him like he was stupid and told he couldnt form sentences when i know he does. My son is very shy. They threatened me to get him evaluated And when i didnt want put him in sp ed preschool they try to disenroll. And they been making behavioral logs on my son since july 2021 and never inform me about it july 20 when director called me into the office very mean like im a child about son. I reported that he told me hes teacher hit him she never wanted me to see the cameras she would come up with a story and ask oh you still want to see the cameras. And my mom called a few times to check on my son the person at desk would hang up. When i ask for copy of behavioral log she never give it to me she sent to school district instead of me his mother. When i ask for other paper a copy the lady ms carol got an attitude me with me and hit the paper on desk being rude these people at tutor time seem nice but they nasty people pretend to me nice. They claim they like my son something isnt right i could never put my finger on it. Only stay because i tolerated it times when i want to request off work to leave this daycare. Since we was able to come in daycare i seen other kids behaving badly like zoo animals. No wonder why my son behaves poorly they wasn't communicating with me. Sometimes was making him upset. How u expel a three year old u never communicated nothing. My two year old was attending too and he was starting this biting thing i know he got it from this daycare other kids doing it make it out like its my son. Then he stop doing that I witnessed other kids doing it, biting and hitting. They should teaching to kept their hands to themselves. They have summer camp but its really not summer camp they one or two activities like build a bear and farm but no field trips. Lack communication skills to parents and if something happen they want to pick him up right away. They never help my son..hes behavior change since this team of staff he always behave before this team came in. I took my other son out daycare he not staying they wasnt even potty training him he will be 3 in the winter. When u calll corporate they dont care about your complaints if u want ur kids act like zoo animals and. Child stuff to go missing good luck. They dont respond good on app get more help for daycare god dont like ugly everyone day will come when u treat someone bad it will come back to you. I've been a teacher for 10 years, and I wanted to find a school that my child could grow and learn with a broad range of activities and engaging learning environments. Tutor Time was the perfect fit for our family, the curriculum and classroom centers are wonderful. I love that I get updates throughout the day from the teachers. Its been almost a year since his first day and we are really excited for him to continue with them for Pre-K. He loves doing projects and he is learning things so fast. I love the fact that he loves the school, the teachers and his friends! I'm love that he gets so excited to come home with stickers each day. The only reason I give Tutor Time 3 stars and not 5 are the young ladies at the front desk. Over the phone they're incredibly nice but when you speak to them in person they don't even look up at you or they answer annoyed as if you're wasting their time. Parking is terrible too as many staff members park in the incredibly small parking lot. Positive Note: The teachers in the classrooms however are incredibly nice and I couldn't be happier with how much my child gravitates towards their classroom teachers. From day one my child was showing improvement in their communication skills. Now with the app they have it's so much easier to stay on top of whats going on with my child. Really happy with the classroom setting and how happy my child is. The classroom teachers are kind and seem to be just as concerned as I am with their well being. The director, teachers and floaters are exceptional. I just wish they had nicer people upfront as they are the face of the institution, I've had many people tell me that after going to talk to the girls up front they decided to look elsewhere. And its disheartening. Definitely need to reevaluate who gets to speak to concerned parents and how parents issues should be handled. Incredibly rude young women. read more

Terrible experience! Our daughter started when she was 8 months. Major problems began when she moved to the toddler class. Terrible diaper rashes, they forgot to feed her last meal on one occasion, She was constantly filthy with dried food all over her face, lost belongings, twice we were called because she vomited but they couldn't explain the cause though when her pediatrician checked her out, they said she was fine. Most of the teachers were unfriendly where we received no greeting or smiles. No communication was provided to us when the transition to move up our child started, we went to pick her up one day and she was in a new class. Crazy!! Our last straw for pulling her out after four months was when I arrived to pick her up and she was sitting on the floor crying and three teachers were standing around each other chit chatting. I said nothing, calmly picked her up and decided we were done. TT has potential but they have it filled with young kids who simply do not care about their job and complain about their pay to us parents. The place was chaotic each morning due to shortage of staff and though kids were enrolled, it's as if they never planned to have a full class therefore never had enough teachers available. I will never advise anyone to put their child at this daycare. Beware parents. Do your research! read more

Tutor time of baldwin has been under new management since January 2012 and I can't speak more highly of the quality of care that is being offered. The facility itself has recently been renovated and is always extremely clean. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and work very hard. My wife and I have been very happy with our son's teachers over the past year and a half, as well as the management team. We are planning on sending our baby there when she is born this spring. There is always someone there to help us and they are very responsive to all of our needs. I was surprised to see the other reviews although most of them old, because this school is awesome and I believe they even have a waiting list! I guess most people only take the time to write a review when they have something negative to say. I would highly recommend this school. read more

I had my son here for a few months and had nothing but problems. He was about 8 months old when he was enrolled. It took his teachers two weeks to take a piece of masking tape and right his name on it and place on the shelf so he would have a place for his food. Something so simple but yet tells you so much about an organization. Just about every other week the front desk would call up either myself (father) or his mother to say our child is not acting right and that he needs to be picked up right away. It was things like hes not eating his food, or he is crying a lot, or is just not himself. We felt he was being picked on by his teachers to get him to go home all the time. We paid too much money per week to have to use sick time at work to pickup our son because Tutor Time couldn't handle a baby if they were refusing a bottle. If he threw up his bottle, we would get a phone call instantly saying to please come now to pick him up. We would often be sent home with different children's clothing and crib sheets at the end of the week. Upon returning wrong cloths the next day, the teachers were not even aware of what had happened. The lack of communication is absurd for a place that cares your children all day. We would instruct the teachers and/or aids in his classroom on things and they were never relayed to the front desk and vice versa. This resulted in numerous phone calls to repeat said instructions again. They would move him up to higher class for the day if hislass was empty so not to have to pay more teachers to stay all day. Teachers forgot to feed him lunch one day when he was moved into different classroom. His "gram" was half filled out for that day regarding the feedings. When I questioned the front desk about this, they had no idea and tried to contact teacher to find out. Took a day to find out that " Oh the teacher just forgot to feed bottle for lunch, but she does not know why". Those grams are also a joke. They would have notes such as to please bring in more diapers and wipes, even though these things were brought in that morning and placed in his cubby. Last straw for us was when we were told he threw up his bottle and he had to be picked up right away. They were going to "put him in a high chair in the front by the desk until a parent comes to get him" because they thought he was sick. Basically threatening that you need to come right away. So we did and brought him home, fed his bottle to him and he was just fine. So we pulled him out, asked about our deposit and was told by front desk we would be contacted by owner. Owner did not contact us. Please stay away from this place if your child is under 1 maybe even 2. Iv heard good things about Lindenhurst branch though. Parking does suck especially during peak times. As another poster said, I would give Tutor Time 5 Stars if it weren't for the ladies at the front desk. The current director, Samantha, is very understanding and professional, but I can't say the same for a couple of her colleagues. They have bad communication skills, and rely on "Precious Status" (email) to tell parents information. However, they are quick to communicate with you if you are just 1 day behind on tuition payment. Go figure. Their tuition price changes, annual registration fee, and any other billing fees have ALWAYS been told to me last minute. Last minute, as in ONE WEEK in advance... It happened multiple times, and I let it slide but when it kept happening and I questioned why I was not notified further in advance of these changes, I was told by one of those front desk ladies, "well, the notice was on the front desk for weeks." How is that true communication? How does that ensure that EVERY parent knows? I was able to pay, but you don't know others financial situation to just suddenly make changes without proper notification. Oh, there's more. They add late fees, and call you if your tuition payment is late which is very understandable... BUT, these same front desk ladies on numerous occasions blurt out that you didn't pay your bill in front of teachers and other parents. It's so unprofessional and rude. Another complaint I have is very minimal, because lets face it, kids get sick. However, I think parents thinking about putting their children in Tutor Time might want to know this. I would see children who were clearly sick being allowed to stay, and spread germs to the other children. My daughter would get sick every other week with something different. Thank goodness I was not working at the time, because I probably would have been fired with the amount of times I had to keep her home... and you must still pay if your child is home sick. I must say though, that they are very quick with notifying parents of viruses, and infections going around the daycare. The ONLY reason my daughter is still at Tutor Time is because she's with the teachers 100% of the time, not the ladies at the desk. Her teacher is wonderful, and I can tell my daughter gets along great with her. If it were not for the teachers at this place, I would've pulled her out of there a long time ago. read more
