The first time he got hit it was so bad and burst in tears when I saw him, teacher didn't come out, didn't talk to me or provide any explanation, when I asked to speak with her and the Director I got a shoulder shrug and an "it happens". I literally just pay you to keep my kid safe. He isn't learning math or colors, you aren't doing anything other than keeping him safe ... and this is your answer? They supposedly have a in house nurse. She didn't see him ONCE. When we asked what they did after he got such a hit in the head they said they put water... it isn't a cut, at the bare minimum apply ice and call me. Nope. In addition, they don't allow you into the building (except when I was complaining about the fall, they made sure I went inside so other parents didn't see me and my son) and the windows are always covered, that should had been my first sign to run away. His white clothes kept coming nasty from crawling, they clearly did not take shoes off on the infant room. Finally, for pick up, you just ring, say the name of your child and a person that doesn't know me or my child brings him out to whoever takes him. What security is this??? Run, run away from this place!!

The director Christina should win an Oscar for her acting skills. She will promise you the world and pretend that she cares about your child. We wanted a daycare closer to home so we decided to switch our child over to Tutor Time. Once your child is enrolled, you actually see the horrific practices of this establishment. There is absolutely​ no structure. Children do whatever they want. There is always a different adult in the room. Additionally, they are not compliant with the state laws, which requires 1 teacher for every 5 toddlers. My child was often in a room with 7 other children and 1 unfamiliar face. As previous reviews mentioned, this is a puppy mill that only wants your money. During an 8 hour day, my child's diaper was only changed twice. State law requires that diapers be changed every 2 hours. One of the many teachers​ we saw often spoke down to the children, "you guys are three and you don't know how to place your hands on the wall?" We often walked past the infant room in the afternoon and saw babies crying hysterically because no one was paying attention to them. One day, another baby was biting the edge of a bookshelf as she was teething. No one stopped her from biting the bookshelf and its varnish coating. My maternal instinct knew something was wrong but I just needed my little one to last a few weeks until June. I asked my brother to pick up my little one from Tutor Time because I was going to be at work past my regular schedule. My brother and his girlfriend went in before my usual pick up time and upon walking to the classroom they saw the teacher, Janet, DRAGGING MY CHILD BY ONE ARM ACROSS 5 FEET OF CARPET. THIS DISGUSTING HUMAN BEING ATTEMPTED TO PICK UP MY CHILD BY ONE ARM AND DROPPED HIM. My brother immediately​ told the director, who did not remove Janet from the classroom for another two hours. Christina, the director, was suddenly worried about ratio issues. Compliance is never a concern for them but that day it was. Furthermore, Christina forced herself to cry, in an attempt to show empathy. We were promised the video evidence within 48 hours. We are way past the 48-hour deadline and still waiting for answers. Run far away from this place. I would never want this to happen to any other child.

And here I am again 12 years later with a 3rd child as a student in PKC!! My little MJ didnt get to start as early as Bella because of Covid... but he did start at 2! And like most kids that were stuck at home with their mommys and daddys for 2 years during quarantine, hes still adjusting a little bit to socializing and the know hows of the world, but Lisa and her staff are so great and well versed in dealing with the kids coming out of this pandemic world! and it's such a fragile thing but they are children and I wouldn't bring the most important things in my life just anywhere! PKC is family so I entrust my family to my family! What I love about Lisa is the care and the knowledge she has... that every child is their own person. My MJ marches to the beat of his own drum. And she expressed to me that MJ needs a little push so she is doing everything possible on there end to provide that push... and she has helped me to learn how to help my son... not many places would take the time, especially at a daycare, but Lisa and her staff do FOR EVERY CHILD! Miss Stephanie, Miss Alex, Miss Barbera, Miss Brittany, Miss Danielle, Miss Monica, Miss Theresa... All of you are leaving imprints in all of these children... they will remember what you've taught them and how you've helped them grow! We continue to drive our children to Baldwin every morning. It is so valuable to have a place we can trust while my husband and I work in the City. I am a mother of three kids and had my oldest enter TT at age 2, she stayed until she finished the pre-k program and entered kindagarden. My child is more than prepared for her first year of elementary school. She loved every day of Tutor time and often asks to visit her teachers. My middle child started out in the infant room with Miss Jackie and Miss Denise at 3 months, I cannot not say enough about these two ladies. They go above and beyond to give the infants all the love and attention you could want your small baby to have. They sit with them, play with them, they even do arts and crafts. My middle boy, now 3, is so bonded to them because of the amount of care given to him from the start. The other teachers have really carried through as he has grown and developed. Currently, my now 7 month old has been exclusively with Miss Jackie, it gives me great comfort that he gives her the biggest smile and baby hug every morning when I drop him off. She is loved by everyone, the second she walks in the door she is getting hugs from everyone, past teachers come to see her in her class room and we even get to see some of the staff outside of TT bc they love her so much. Big personalities and lots of energy grow and prosper there and to say they are unwanted is very much untrue. Cleanliness is important to them, especially with covid and they are constantly taking the necessary precautions to keep the kids safe. I watch the cameras and they have very specific cleaning routines. My daughter has come home sick only once, for high fever - and she got it from her cousin not from the school. When they called me I was 45 minutes away and it was no problem at all, they were super sweet and took care of her until I could get there. The academic program is great - my daughter comes home every day learning new things. She soaks it up like a sponge and I love how many things they do every single day. There is always reading, writing, math, science - it blew my mind when she started how much she was actually learning. I thought they would spend most of their time playing but they fit in so much! For example just today they did days of the week, months of the year, weather, a fire drill sequence, a science experiment, learned about the ecosystem and counting. To say there is little to no academic instruction is insane and bizarre to me. Lastly, Allison and Danielle are amazing. They are incredibly sweet and love on my kid so much - and we don't have to "suck up" to get that kind of attention. They answer all my emails right away and are always so kind and helpful. They plan the most fun things for the kids and are always trying to do the best for them. Did you even see what occurred when they were there? Were you in the room when the experiences I related happened? Were you privy to the phone calls and messages I received from Tutor Time? No. So you have no right to say I'm making stuff up and call me a liar. Alison and Danielle may be nice to you but they were not to my youngest son. They were very rude and nasty to him and couldn't wait to throw him out. They treated him like absolute dirt. One other thing that I didn't put in my first review is that I called my school district about what to do about my son and his situation at Tutor Time. When one of the directors who has a PhD in education found out that my son was attending Tutor Time of Massapequa, she said "I've had this conversation with them before. Their methods are terrible. The teachers have no training whatsoever. Their only response to when a child doesn't behave is to isolate the child and eventually try to get rid of the child which causes much more harm than good." So it's not just me. Tutor Time has a bad reputation with my school district and they have a low opinion of Tutor Time's methods. Don't tell people to ignore my review because it is a 100% accurate reflection of my children's experiences there and people should know that it isn't the happy, sunny place you insist it is.
