The directors love my children, the teachers love my children, and I trust that they are happy and safe there. I love that there is a curriculum, each week is a different theme. They learn Spanish and do yoga and exercise and learn the basics like letters, numbers, writing, etc. I love that there are cameras and you can watch what is going on throughout the day. Every teacher knows the children's names even if they aren't in that teacher's class. They take any concerns seriously. The facility is clean and neat and welcoming. No daycare is perfect, I assure you, but Lightbridge is perfect for us and I'm more than happy with the care my children are getting there.

I gave Ms Armand a call and everything was just as we left off. Obviously as the years passed the daycare has only gotten better. When your child is enrolled here you honestly don't have to worry about anything. Your child is in a loving safe environment. Ms Armand makes learning fun in every way. Your child will be able to read, write, recognize site words and count before they even hit kindergarten. Your child will learn potty training and develop independence, learn social skills and so much more.

Growing up in New Hyde Park, I knew the teachers and so many kids/parents who went to Gloria Dei and loved it. When I had my own child, there was never a question where they would go. My daughter started in this school last year in the 2 year old separation program. We had tried daycare with her for a while prior but after months struggling to adjust we finally pulled her out and hired a nanny. The first 2 weeks of school my daughter (and most other 2 year olds) were scared and cried for a while after dropoff. But this school anticipates and is prepared for that adjustment helping the kids and parents through. After 2 weeks it was like a switch went off and my daughter suddenly loved school! She made friends, learned to socialize and play and became comfortable separating. I noticed a marked difference in her communication, motor skills and confidence very quickly in the year and she progresses from there. Most importantly, she loved and looked forward to her time there. My daughter is currently enrolled in the 3 year old program with mrs.cherson and continuing to love school and thrive. Mrs. Cherson, the founder and director of the school, is a talented, compassionate and patient teacher. I'm always excited to come home from work and hear how school was. My son will be starting the 2 year old program next year while my daughter continues with them into mrs. Hansen's pre-k. Although there is universal pre-k in the town that would save me money the experience we've gotten here is worth it. I love the teachers, the small community and the friendly faces and parents you meet dropping off / picking up kids. Can't reccomend this school enough!

The activities they do is above and beyond. Polar express, pajama day, zoo animals come etc. the teachers and assistants are all nice my daughter has been in all of the classes this is her last year and I've never had an issue. He is starting pre-k this fall knowing so much and with amazing social skills and it is because Ms. Ambar knows what she is doing! She is genuine and thoughtful in her curriculum that is age appropriate for each of the age groups. From outdoor play, to circle time, to hands-on projects, story time and dance parties. She even had a unit on raising butterflies with real caterpillars! I could go on and on about all that she plans and teaches the kids. Ms. Ambar pours so much love into her daycare and how she runs it. She takes pride in cultivating the most wonderful growing environment. She and her staff truly care for each child as if they were their own and we are forever grateful for the lifelong friends and memories we will have. I have and will tell everyone I know about her. There's never enough staff, and the staff they do have, many are not licensed or being reviewed by the licensing agency for misconduct. Most of the good teachers left out of frustration. Few good ones are still left, are paid a few Pennie's over minimum wage, and have had enough. More recently, they chose to keep around a teacher that was accused of abusing 3 (THREE!) infants by another teacher because they "felt it couldn't be true". Only when parents called corporate was it actioned on. Before enrolling, try reaching out to the families who've left to get their honest reviews. I'm sure you can find them easily. I wish someone told me all this when I enrolled. It's expensive, one of the most expensive areas in the area, and has the worse reputation in the neighborhood. Run. Your welcome.

awful corporate owned daycare, meaning they do not pay their teachers well and parents are dealing…read moreconstant tuition increases. i sent my son here for 5+ years and i am so glad to be done with this place. within the last year, this daycare has had incidents where a young child was left locked in the outside playground in the hot summer for over an extended time (over 40+ mins) without anyone realizing he was missing. a few weeks later, my son was involved in an incident that was reported to Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) where a teacher was reported to be handling my toddler son aggressively. after investigation, i learned this teacher had been disciplined 3x for the same reason and no action was taken by the director. the final straw was the director not notifying me of the incident (had to find out from OCFS) and she was not even being apologetic. a red flag for anyone considering KC is there is a big open house sign in front of kindercare promoting they have open availability because most of the parents i know pulled their child from kindercare after the incident with my son. any decent daycare is going to be fully booked because of childcare staffing shortages and parents being diligent about not cutting corners when it comes to finding the right care for their baby. google "MANHASSET KINDERCARE OCFS" and check for yourself.

We had complete peace of mind knowing she was in such caring and capable hands under Ms. Sammi's guidance. She has learned so much and genuinely enjoys going to school each day. I always looked forward to the weekly projects she proudly brought home, as well as the festive Christmas performances. Ms. Sammi does an exceptional job communicating with parents, often sharing sweet moments and photos that brighten my day.
