What I say often is that if we didnt 'need' to put our kids into daycare, we still would (at least part time). I attribute my (older) kid's personality, outgoingness, and even her high level of empathy to TLC. You'll hear people describe daycare as handing your kids over to 'strangers'. These caregivers/teachers become family to your child. I feel good every morning knowing that my kids are usually getting a big hug on arrival from a teacher who truly wants the best for them. Your kids will get more attention, more socialization, and have more learning than I think any solo parent could do at home. My 3 year old has more friends than me. The best thing about TLC is the amount of activities they do, to name just a few: Valentines Party, Friendsgiving, Visit form Santa, Visit from police officer, fire fighter, dentist, a petting zoo day, Chinese New Year celebration, Fall festival, dinosaur fossils, yoga, making Challah bread, halloween party and trunk or treat, in the summer water play almost every day. This is really just a small sample.

There was always so much love, warmth, and genuine care, and we never had to wonder whether our kids were in good hands. Years later, our children are now 10 and 8, and they STILL ask to go back and visit Miss Dawn--and we do! I think that says everything about the kind of place she created and the impact she and her staff had on our family. Miss Dawn's was so much more than a daycare for us. It was a place where our children were loved, nurtured, and made to feel at home. We will always be grateful for those years and for the wonderful people who helped care for our kids. If you are looking for a daycare where your children will truly be loved like family, I cannot recommend Miss Dawn and her incredible staff enough!!!

When we…read morestarted looking for childcare we weren't sure what to look for, but after visiting several places we started noticing the differences between them and ultimately our choice was narrowed to something we consider the key ingredient for a successful childcare... and the key ingredient is Care. The day we visited Ms. Dawn's for the first time we were happy to witness one of the teachers affectionately hugging one of the kids while the whole class was singing the "I love you" song and I was happy to know he would initially be in her class. He has since then graduated to nursery and I am amazed by how much he has learned and how eager he is to continue to learn. Big thank you to all the staff not only for all you teach him but mostly for all the love.

I've been through 3 home daycares before just trying a real day care facility. We all hear horror stories of different places so I was nervous. Her first day I couldn't believe the amount of pictures and communication I got from Ms. Chrissy the director of TT. I expressed my concerns and she literally picked them apart one by one. They have a daily toddler report that comes home telling you how their day went and what they ate. This report only comes home until they're 2 1/2. It made me feel very comfortable and in the know of what was going on. They have a Facebook for the parents and they take great pics of your kid.I have so many saved. The activities they do is above and beyond. Polar express, pajama day, zoo animals come etc. the teachers and assistants are all nice my daughter has been in all of the classes this is her last year and I've never had an issue. If I did I would call the teacher directly they are all approachable and available. The education, diversity, loving atmosphere, cleanliness is all a parent looks for and this place is it!! You're not going to find a better place than this

My son has been in the daycare program of this school since he was 3 months old. He is currently 2…read moreyears old and I am beyond pleased with his progress over the years. From 3 months to 15 months he was in the infant room with excellent care givers who took care of him as if he was their own. They did artwork with him, which always adorn my fridge. The room was clean and bright and fun! He had his own crib. I had to provide my own sheets and blanket but it was more than a cheesy bassinet, there were gorgeous wood cribs. He had his own cubby and contain/space in the fridge. When it was time for him to move to the toddler room they transitioned him to make him comfortable. But in his new "big boy" room he really blossomed. They to amazing things with these kids. He goes to gym, computer class, out door recreation, they have circle time, reading time, music class, and so much more. They have their own nap pads which are comfortable and a crib sheet fits them nicely. He again has his own space is in the fridge and a toddler size table where the kids eat their meals together. They work on colors, letters, numbers, vocabulary, and developing their fine motor skills, gross motor Skills, language levels, social development, and more. As a facility that also has the capability of providing Early Intervention they provide me with quarterly evaluations as part of their program. It's a great way to learn more about your child hitting milestones. They have their own sink and bathroom in the room and are more than glad to work with you to potty train, my son is eager to use the potty as a result of the expose he gets to older children at school and the staffs intuitiveness to sense he was ready and to work with him each day to learn to use the potty seat. They are working with my son to develop his skills to use utensils and a regular cup. He comes home every day smarter and happier than the last. I thank each amazing staff member for VCLC each day for their kindness to my child and I, and that each one of them is dedicated to the well being of my son. The pricing is reasonable, the location is a leased elementary school which means it's totally geared towards small children. I do have to provide my own food, which not only saves money, but I know that he is eating good for each day not typical easy toddler food (pizza, mac n cheese, chicken nuggets). Their security is phenomenal. You have to show your family pass before being buzzed into the building. The class sizes are small, and the rooms are colorful and fun and filled with educational toys and decor. He still comes home with fun projects each day and larger projects every so often. It's an excellent choice when you're considering daycare!!

I expect my child to get sick (which is nobody's fault) but she was out for 1.5 weeks and the only time the director reached out to me was to ask for payment, not a concern or knowledge that my daughter was out for so long. COVID came along, the owner/directly withheld money from our tuition as cleaning fees and credit. I really did not want to go back but covid was a mess to find new daycares so I let both my children go for the summer to utilize the credit that she withheld from me. They leave their school bags outside in the sun before pick up time, a possible "rodent" or animal chewed through my daughter's bag (I don't care about the bag but it's kinda gross to have rodents crawling my children's belongings) but according to the owner, it's impossible. So it must have been either my pet goldfishes or 3 year old son who chewed it out...since it was "impossible"to have rodents outside their building. Friday was pizza day. I gave pizza money but they miscommunicated somehow and didn't feed my daughter. When I tried to talk to the owner, she put her hand in my face and told me "it would never happen again and I had to drop it". Even if I had forgotten to pay, would it be so terrible to feed a child with the half slice of pizza you ordered if she did not have anything to eat? In the beginning of the summer, the teacher told me my son had an accident in his pants, fine, whatever, it happens with kids. Two months later, they returned a bag of soiled clothes to me. It would have been better if they just tossed it. Send in labeled lip balm and sun screen they say, it will be applied if they go out later in the day. Forget it, by the end of the summer, all my sunscreens were brand new. There were many great teachers that worked here but most have left. It's a beautiful new and clean place with lots of potential to be great, unfortunately, when you only look at $ and not use your heart to care for the children that parents trust you with, it will show right through. I spent a few seasons here because I really wanted to like it, all the parents including myself were ultimately disappointed in the management of this daycare.

And she also said it was "weird" that I asked her if they have cameras that families can use to check in on their babies during the day. Moving into the neighborhood about 2yrs ago I was looking for a loving, comforting, family feel after school /daycare for my kids. I was very concerned my kids(ages 3 & 7) would not take well to this change & the transition would take a few months. My other concern was finding a suitable place to work with my daughter who at the time had a speech/language delay. My kids from day 1 have absolutely loved it! Within the first month my daughters progression in speech/language improved so much it left me in shock.
