Even though my family has been hurt by this ordeal, my intent is not to hurt anyone or retaliate, but only to inform those parents with what myself and several other parents went through while our children were attending Ms. Sabine's daycare. I also have documented proof and photos of some of the things I mentioned in my review, and I'm happy to share with those parents who wish to contact me. I have a 6 year long relationship with this daycare, and unfortunately it has gone downhill. I am willing to share all of the positive experiences we had in the beginning, as well as all of the horrible experiences that have led to the end. I was also informed by other parents that they too are still owed money from Ms. Sabine and have yet to receive it. I myself am still waiting on $500 from her. have nothing but awesome things to say about Ms. Sabine. my son was with her for years and "graduated" from the daycare fully prepared for Kindergarten. I owe so much thanks to Ms.Sabine. Ms. Sabine, honestly, has always gone above and beyond for our children in her care and the parents. One thing for sure and two for certain, when a person's character is attacked without true merit nothing good comes to the attacker. Nothing. I love to see how life works **wink**. This daycare has been a blessing and will continue to be. Where do I begin? How do you review someone who has done more than her job of being a caregiver and has essentially become extended family? My daughter first arrived at Philippians 2:5 day care when she was just shy of 2 years old and this month was her first month in kindergarten. Honestly, I'm not sure where we would be without Ms. Sabine and her team. During my daughter's earlier years she had trouble pronouncing her words. And although I was worried about her ability to speak properly, since the day Ms. Sabine set eyes on my daughter she knew she would be great. Ms. Sabine constantly assured me that my daughter would be fine. In fact, Ms. Sabine and her team went beyond the goals that we set for our daughter. Not only is my daughter speaking clearly, she can also read and is more than prepared for her first year in elementary school. I am so grateful to have met such a selfless, patient, and caring person and I wish my daughter could stay with Ms. Sabine until she goes to college. We are truly going to miss Ms. Sabine and her team, not only because she has set the learning foundations for my daughter but also because she truly is a lifesaver! On days that I wasn't able to pick up my daughter from the daycare, Ms. Sabine went above and beyond. I don't know if we will ever find such a loving and helpful teacher such as yourself but I am so grateful that you came into our lives. I cannot put into words how much I adore this daycare. When you bring you child here they, and you, become family to the staff of Phil 2:5. Ms.Sabine and her teachers put the upmost care into developing your child socio-emotionally and academically. Coming from an education background I was very picky about where I was going to send my daughter. (I have my M.Ed in education and worked in the NYC school system for a decade). This daycare has surpassed my expectations. My daughter comes home learning something new each day. She is excited to go to play with her friends and teachers. They are also great about updating their app in the moment so you can keep up with your child during the day. My grandson has been going here for about a year and a half. He, his mother and I love it! He is learning while having fun. The daycare is well run. The day care's main aim is trying to gain profits while minimizing the amount of workers in the facility. They care for kids and gives good education but their main goal is money. While I do understand that a business must make money I think they are overdoing it. Update: So I received a response from the owner and here is the owner's response versus what I experience. 1) Owner's Response: We do teach and provide the kids with a safe, comfortable and caring environment as our main goal is the best interest of the child. I am not certain what you mean by "hooked on finding avenues to squeeze extra dollars from your pockets". To address your examples. Although we open from 7 to 6 we offer contracted hours based on the parent's needs. Contracted hours allows us to have on staff at minimum 4 or more caregivers at all times for the 12 children in our care. That allows a ratio of 1:3 for toddlers and 1:1 for infants. This is always discussed during registration. The extra charge you refer to are late fees which is a policy adopted by all day cares, to wit: $1.00 per minute. My Experience: I am not disputing that it provides a safe, comfortable, and caring environment but the "contracted hours" is one of the issues. All day cares must have the 1:3 ratio for toddlers and 1:1 for infants but you appear to be trying to skimp as much as possible in your staffing needs. For if you are open 7am to 6pm then your staff should be paid for such hours and not based on the times the parents say they would pick them up. I agree parents should pay for late pickups but those should be beyond the 6pm closing time. 2) Owner's Response: We offer picture day and give all our parents at least a 3 week notice. This is always optional. A $3.00 charge is requested to offset the cost of the specialty paper and printing. The cost of same far surpasses the $3.00 we charge. We pay the difference and do not mind doing so. My Experience: Paying a charge of $3.00 is not the issue. The fact that you did not state beforehand the cost and the fact that we even have to pay, given the fact that your own daughter was the one who took these pictures herself and this was not the standard "picture day" experience that other day care offers where professionals come in and take pictures. Owner's Response: a) The children learn as we provide the opportunities for them to do so, however I do not profess to potty training a child in 1 week. My policy states "We encourage and assist with potty training for full time children, so long as the child is ready". My Experience: As far as I was told, my child was ready. I was told to purchase two potties, one for home and for her to use at the day care, which I did. Up to this day, I was not given the go-ahead to bring in the other potty even though I mentioned that I purchased it several times. You did state that you can get a child potty trained in about a week. Owner's Response: b) We greet and say good bye to all the children. My Experience: When I previously stated you did not say goodbye to my child what I meant was, once I could no longer bring her in to your facilities anymore temporarily, you did not even check to see how my child was doing. It was an "out of sight, out of mind" experience. read more

My daughter has been going here for a little over a year and a half. Sabine is an excellent provider and cares for my daughter as if she's her own child. It's kept clean and the workers do a good job. The kids do a ton of activities and you get periodic updates and pictures through the day. I really lucked out finding this daycare and I believe it's a gem. I highly recommend!! read more

It took me while to write a review because I wanted to carefully observe this day care before writing a love at first sight review. I have both of my children enrolled in this day care and LOVE LOVE LOVE is an understatement! Ms. Sabine and her staff are simply God sent to my life. Let's take it back to the first day....Walking up to the house my first I thought to myself I wasn't going for a house day care I guess the search is still on. As I stepped into the day care my mind immediately changed! The warmth I felt and the place being spotless eased my doubts as well. Ms. Sabine was warm and VERY professional! I was ready to sign my toddler up before the conversation was over. When my son first attended his speech was behind after 3 months and now almost a year later my son can practically be lawyer! When I enrolled my baby son I knew it was the place because my baby doesn't like strangers and is not the type to warm up to anyone until he gets to know then. After a couple weeks of attending he was in love with the place and now he's ready to run inside before taking his jacket and shoes off. This place has become like a second family and if you are reading this looking for a day care THIS place is the BEST daycare you'll find! Philippians 2:5 needs to become a franchise. read more
