With those upgrades also come high end prices for the gelato, but that's okay because I really enjoyed it. I say "always tempt me" as if this is a regular menu item at every ice cream shop. Quite the opposite, actually! But for the record ice cream shop owners of America: you should have this on your menu. Both hit the spot perfectly for me. The coconut gelato was pillowy in how soft and creamy it was. Pumpkin Spice Concha Surprise…read more I drove after work to this bakery in Conroe to see if they have the "Pan de Muerto," Bread of the Dead, for Day of the Dead celebration. Was I surprised not only to see the traditional sweet Mexican pastries and the Pan de Muerto but I was surprised to see the Pumpkin spice Concha going viral from the well know bakery in all soical medias. I cannot emphasize enough, their Pumpkin Spice Concha is absolutely amazing. The bread is soft while the Pumpkin filling is rich and creamy, keeping the bread moist. Let's not forget the sweet baked icing that brings the Concha it's popularity. But in all honesty, this bakery is absolutely great because it really makes the Mexican Sweet Bread just like I remember in Mexico. The blueberry puree is sweet and different from the usual mango and strawberry purées that are offered with matcha lattes. The matcha (light or strong) is squeezed from a premade bottle over the milk (oak or whole), puree-syrup, and ice. Overall, it was pretty sweet but good. I asked for the pull tab lid not to be added as I wanted to reuse the cup (thin but pretty sturdy plastic) later. The lip of the slim and tall plastic cup is relatively smooth. The cookies were nice--I have unfortunately lost the name, but they were a kind of shortbread cookie with powdered sugar on top, and a caramel syrup filling. Only five in a serving but were very satisfying. The menu was a lot more limited than was indicated on their sign board. Only one choice of three available for puff pastry, and two of four for empanadas. One of two for drinks. Plenty of desserts. Many of the trucks at the Plaza De Los Food Trucks are not open for weekend lunch, but Mr. Sweet is open pretty consistently, so if you're there at noon on a weekend it will be a decent choice.
