my sisters favorite, an empanada with some sort of cream cheese filling

I love love love love love this place!! I am carbs and sweets #1 fan. Before I knew about this place, I would usually get my pan dulce at an arandas bakery, very inconsistent bread but a staple place where i've been since I was a kid with my parents. I found this place on yelp and was surprised I never knew about it. 5 stars and local/almost down the road?? I had to come by. I did and immediately I was greeted by the ladies, they were soooo kind!!! Asked if I had any questions to not hesitate to ask or if I was looking for anything specific. I came around 9am on a weekday and I was the only person but everything was extremely fresh and stocked! I automatically knew this place was legit when I picked up the first concha and I could feel the tongs pick up fluffiest piece of bread on earth. I could go on and on about each pan dulce I had, but just know every single one I have tried so far was devine. the conchas, the empanadas (pineapple, cream cheese, apple, pumpkin/sweet potato/camote), the orejas, ojo de buey, and a few more I don't know the names. I've been back 4 different times since, and each time the bread is fresh and soft, delicate and exquisite. each visit the service is wonderful as well. in the afternoon is definitely when they get their customers though, I came also around 6pm on a weekday and they had a buuunch of people! everything was still coming out fresh!! nothing out of stock with the amount of people that were grabbing everything. anyways, before I write a ten page essay, 10/10 recommended. 100% the best and now my favorite panaderia *ever*

The conchas are the best! I usually go to El Bolillo on Airline for some pastries, but this place has better conchas. They're so light, fluffy, and airy. It truly is worth the drive for the conchas alone. They're a $1 for the big conchas

Authentic Mexican bread (pan dulce) baked daily and always fresh. They keep a good amount of bread available and bake more as needed. The bolillo / pan francés (french bread) is the best I've have tried. It is super tender and fresh! Need a cake? They have awesome tres leches (three-layered milk cakes). Located in Spring, Texas and minutes from The Woodlands.

Small selection of some sweet bread we purchased.

There are plenty tables and chairs for large groups. And sofas ( not in good condition at all... but sofas .. yes)... ya... big ones length wise. Pretty noisy actually. Good noise. Cheerful sharing while chilling over drinks and pastries - that kind of noise. Have been craving for fries lately and when I saw Common Bond, was very excited but they didn't carry the thick truffle fries which I was so fond of in the other Common Bond. Still, it was good fries and the staff was very friendly.... many high schoolers doing a summer job so they are super nice. They have a rewards program running - once registered, $spent is $earned in points which can be redeemed later. Staff was friendly and seemed like some of them were high schoolers or sort of, doing summer jobs so they were extra courteous and cautious - it was very much appreciated The fresh pastries were inviting and they had a big menu of other eats too. For me Common Bond and their specialty small dessert cakes went hand in hand. And this bakery did keep up that reputation- they had some sumptuous looking mini cakes. Definitely worth a visit.

You know, it gives gourmet without being pretentious. The bakery alone puts Common Bond in this category. If you can resist dessert order from the display case, I'm not sure you're human! The visuals and smells are always inviting, but the execution is not consistent. This time, in addition to my savory picks, It's been awhile so I thought I'd revisit my Common Bond review. This location is such a score for City Place. The only caffeine dealer apart from Starbucks walkable from the plaza, it's easy to see why patrons choose Common Bond.

I had a couple dollar bills and sped to it before closing, did get cuernitos, cinnamon cookies, and my all time-fave conchas. The conchas were my favorite by far, the cinnamon cookies very powdery, sugary and dusty which is just the way I like it, the cuernitos however I was a little disappointed since they were rally hard even the center with the yellow which is my favorite part. It could be that I did get 2 out of the last 3 they had but I felt they were a little too small and hard for my comfort. The employee was direct and on the mission to check me out which I can understand when there is only 15 minutes until closing time OR perhaps the fact that there was a misfortunate " language barrier" which there wasn't but I like to believe that people miss that I too speak Spanish. The prices were a little higher than I typically pay at a Mexican bakery but I still managed to pay with the cash I had in hand. I will stop by one more time and give them another chance, when you make a late night trip close to closing you get slim pickin's and will come at a more reasonable time.
