I had the PBJ crêpe, which was very yummy and taste as you would expect it. And I had a honeybee latte, which is a very curious latte with a nice honey body. Very tasty to drink. They have a back patio too with umbrellas, so you can bring your dog or rambunctious kids!

I was so excited to try this place for the first time. I took my mom specifically because they actually have gluten-free crêpes. They were absolutely fantastic! I did the peanut butter and Nutella and Mom did a blueberry lemon zest one. We also each had a latte which was fantastic. The flavor of the coffee is delicious, but not overbearing. We will definitely eat here again.

The food is then brought to your table based on the number card that you got which is placed on the Eiffel Tower on your table of choice. I got a meat lovers paradise wrapped in a crepe called Cali truffle, it was so filling and delicious. Also enjoyed the chicken carbonara for lunch. If you're looking for something lighter they do have simple crepes just with fruit toppings and your choice of Nutella syrup or dulce de leche. They also offer breakfast favorites on brioche buns. (And I'm sure I saw waffles, didn't order but I think they do) Some of the drinks like lemonades are from the machine along with your choice of sodas. For cocktails that's made and brought out to your table. The hot chocolates looked delicious and I'd like to try next time along with their other hot beverages of lattes and teas. Tables were clean quickly and staff are pleasant and always smiling. Great for breakfast brunch or lunch. A plus is the outdoor seating area for a cool morning or afternoon. Not alot of walking traffic so it's nice to sit outside and enjoy your meal.

The ladies working were very nice and efficient. The crepes themselves were great. They arrived quickly, but were of un compromised quality. Both savory and sweet crepes were simply delicious--airy, flavorful, and satisfying. Also, I must point out the great drink selection. I had the mango lemonade and I cannot recommend it enough. Another bonus of this location is that it relatively uncrowded and so there is no long line. I will definitely be back!

Ive seen people working on their computers in there and it does seem like a great spot to grab food, coffee, and get some work done without much noise. I've tried many different crepes and coffees, and everything is seriously delicious! The crepes are packed and they do not skimp on the fillings. The breakfast crepe is my favorite savory crepe while the creme brûlée crepe is my favorite sweet crepe. Adding strawberries inside the creme brûlée crepe is a nice added flavor so highly recommend. Iced coffee, Frappes, and hot coffee are all good but I think the hot coffee is my absolute favorite. Me and boyfriend always get it to go and the food carries very well. It's just like eating at the place.

Wholly Crepe!! Russian Bistro - Tomball…read more What does authentic Russian hospitality look like? It looks less like a restaurant and more like a small doorway into someone's home -- a place where food is not rushed, and conversation is part of the meal. EXTERIOR: At first glance the building is modest, almost shy. A few outdoor seats, a quiet frontage, and public parking just around the corner. The kind of place you could easily pass -- and shouldn't. INTERIOR: Once you go up the steps, open the door, and the Northwest Houston surroundings fall away. The room feels lifted from a Russian village house, ( ): warm wood floors, wooden window frames, and intimate spacing. If you've ever been to Russia or watched any of the Russian movies or cartoons, this space will be familiar. Four tables and sixteen chairs, sit to the left; to the right, a narrow staircase evokes a country dacha, (). Larger tables gather families together, even a few small chairs waiting for children. Main room offers unique, (in glass shelves) Lomonosov Porcelain 1744 dishes, from St. Petersburg. As well as, carved wooden dishes, hand-painted details. Ask Mila and Bill for details. RUSSIAN HOSPITALITY: Arriving shortly after opening, Bill greeted me with a smile. Conversation came naturally and without agenda, as if we've known each other a long time. Mila, came out shortly after from the kitchen and I was able to converse with her in Russian and English. Both shared their meet story and how they decided to start this adorable business, May 2015. The story feels better heard from them directly. I set down to look at their abundant menu options. Meals here require patience. Many dishes are prepared from scratch. Part of Russian Hospitality is to welcome you in to their home, sit you down, spike up a genuine conversation and make a delicious home cooked meal. The rhythm slows; the outside schedule becomes irrelevant. I decided to order four of their popular dishes; #7 Tvorog Crepe, #24 Smoked Salmon Crepe, Siberian Pelmeni Bowl, and Cheburek. Let's go over each dish briefly. Gordon Ramsay once said - The way to know when something is cooked from scratch or microwaved is by the amount of steam or sizzling coming from the plate. #7 Tvorog Crepe - $12 Homemade Ricotta Cheese, Choice of Berries, Condensed Milk or Honey. I ordered mine with mixed berries, white powder and condensed milk. Something about taking each bite dipped in condensed milk with all the toppings makes your taste buds dance. Generous portions. #24 Smoked Salmon Crepe - $16 Tvorog Cheese, Salmon, Cherry Tomato, Green Onion, Salted Dill. As someone that adores a good salmon dish, clean flavors and a proper texture contrast -- delicate fish against warm crepe. The pairing works and generous portion. Siberian Pelmeni Bowl (24ct) - $17 Handmade dumplings in butter with your choice of dipping sauce. True Russian Hospitality - dish ware presentation along with the cuisine. The three-layered, brown color bowl looked presentable. Pelmeni looked freshly made and the steam coming from the bowl would make Gordon Ramsay smile. A slightly meatier filling would improve the ratio, but the flavor remains familiar and nostalgic. Cheburek - $9.50 Handmade Fried Meat Pie filled with Ground Beef & Onion. Served with your choice of dipping sauce. Good presentation and the taste was a good pairing combination with sour cream. Exterior texture was crispy, while the interior was soft. A fuller filling would strengthen it. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: While photographing the dishes, some cooled before I could eat them. Mila noticed and worried -- a small moment can be explained. If you've been around a Russian woman, you know they want nothing but the best for you when it comes to food. Wholly Crepe!! Offers some of the most unique and delicious cuisines for those who crave something different. Everything is made to order, from scratch, in small batches preserving authenticity and flavor. Come prepared to pause. The reward is a meal that feels cooked for you, not merely served to you.

The good: cute decor (there's a display case full of tea sets), and food flavors were fine (but…read morenothing to write home about). The bad: My first big gripe is the water. There's an expectation that in the US, tap water is free. Places that only have bottles typically will say, "We have bottled water; is that okay?" if you order water. This place didn't. They just brought out bottles. They're charging $2 each. Portion sizes are very small for what you're paying, and for the actual cost of the ingredients. My crepe was essentially a light snack for $14. Family friendliness is mixed. They're welcoming of kids, but there is no kids menu, and no changing table in the restroom. There's also only one customer restroom, so you're screwed if someone has to be in there for a while. The weird: The music did not match the theme or ambiance. Clearly they are trying to appeal to their customer base's favorite music by playing country hits, which felt a little out-of place. Like many other business in Old Town Tomball, this restaurant is in a converted house. You have to park in back but walk around to the front. Conclusion: If you live crepes or are looking specifically for Russian food, it's worth a try, but I'm not in any hurry to return.

Glass Mountain Magazine held an open-mic event here as a part of their annual Boldface conference,…read morewhich is what brought me here. I'll admit that I was somewhat disappointed when I walked in that it didn't seem authentic like I thought it would be. I expected a real French atmosphere and staff, but obviously that's not fair to the place. That's not a critique, but the expectation did influence my experience. The second thing I notice was about the "house-made flavors" for the coffee. I saw the adjective of "house-made" in the Yelp menu pictures which is what got me excited. In-house syrups is the factor that brings me to a coffeeshop. That's what tells me this is the real deal, that this place is putting in real effort to craft a balance drink. Melange realizes this as well. They knew that would draw people, but let me tell you, these flavors are not "house-made." I literally saw a bottle of Monin syrup on the counter. How that is made in house I can't comprehend. Look, I saw the jars of nutella on the counter behind the glass wall, which may make my question sound stupid, but I dumbly thought those were just for the crepes. So when I walked up to the register, I asked the guy "How do you make the nutella flavor for the coffee?" I wanted to know because I myself have tried mixing nutella into my drip coffee at home and it never dissolves. In response, he stared at me in confusion. I rephrased: "Like how do you put the nutella in the latte?" He simply said, "Thin nutella." I did not confront him about the "house-made" adjective on the chalkboard. I did not have it in me. But I thought maybe this could still be good. I was handed a paper cup, which also disappointed me, for I expected a mug, but I can only hold that against myself. The real cardinal sin of coffeeshops that was committed here was that I could not taste the coffee. I am not kidding when I say it tasted like hot nutella milk and that was it. Obviously it tasted good-I like the taste of nutella. But that's not what I ordered. Now again I'm non-confrontational and there were only two employees who were working on a bunch of other orders so I didn't bother complaining. But the lack of coffee in my latte is the bulk of my frustration with Melange Creperie. I also should mention that my latte was decaf, which could have contributed to the distinct lack of coffee taste, I'm not sure, but that seems like an important detail. Now I did enjoy my sausage crepe. The white cheddar and egg were smooth and velvety and the mustard added a nice acidity to contrast with the andouille sausage. But it does feel overpriced at $16 and I wish there was a bit more sausage. If I lived in Houston, I would probably return to try more crepes, but I would never order coffee from here again.
