Outrageous fees tied to their lease agreement.

Unethical. Conniving. Discriminatory... This is what sums up The LaBrada Group. From the moment I submitted an application to one of their rental properties, their tactics were evident. They give you 48 hours to submit a security deposit after applying, then they pressure you to sign a lease agreement within 24 hours to ensure that you do not have time to thoroughly review their clauses and unreasonable deductions (see evidence). Their entire demeanor is belittling towards tenants, so much that Heather (their property manager) had the audacity to say that most renters are not kind and was quick to stereotype. What's appalling is how blatant their unlawful practices are--their lease agreements are plagued with violations! In fact, a housing investigator and attorney advised me to refrain from signing the lease agreement for a home my family and I were considering moving into. After respectfully declining and thanking them for their consideration, I requested that my $3,850 security deposit be returned. These swindlers took $150 of my security deposit and claimed that this was for "paperwork," then they claimed it was for "cleaning." Evidently, they couldn't get their story straight and provide evidence for their "aggravation fee," so unethical! Mr. Labrada, please return my FULL security deposit. Those $150 that you took from us can go a long way for my family and three little ones. Folks, report predatory businesses that prey on the innocent. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and report their violations to the housing department and unveil their exploitation.

Update: After submitting my complaint and review, I experienced issues accessing the tenant portal,…read morewhich is required under my lease to submit and track requests. During the same period I was unable to log in, management continued updating and closing requests while noting a lack of response from me. I was not able to access or respond to those updates at the time. The original issues, including ongoing noise disturbances and lack of hot water, remain unresolved. As well as restrictions on driveway parking despite my lease providing access. The timing and handling of these updates raise concerns about how tenant communications are being managed.
