    Absolutely stunning Koa wood box
    Kari C.

Outstanding little shop with excellent customer service. We went here in search of gifts. They have a parking lot right outside. Store is air-conditioned and very clean. Items are well organized and prices are clearly marked. I agree with other reviewers that the quality of the items are extremely high, however, the prices are also high. We were able to find some very, very nice wooden magnets for five dollars each. The Koa wood fish hook necklaces looked extremely nice, but they were too precious at $60-$70 for little kids gifts. They also had a nice selection of Koa wood bracelets and rings. Jewelry boxes were reasonably priced at about $50 each. Workmanship was absolutely outstanding. They did have fancier boxes which cost more money. They have a workshop that is right next-door, visible through a window, however the workers had the day off. They had a few pieces of Koa wood available for woodworkers and pen blanks for only five dollars each. Definitely worth a quick stop if you're interested in Koa wood products. Oh, and be sure to check out the Greek food truck next door. Chef George is an awesome guy!

    Beautiful and affordable souvenirs.

What an unexpected find! The finish on the woodwork is just stunning, I almost impulse-bought a barrette when I never use them. Fairly affordable for gift-giving, and we found one or two irresistible baubles on sale. Bookmarks, pens, jewelry, ornaments, charms, kitchenware, home decor, cribbage boards, you name it. I probably would've gotten the plumeria or turtle picture frame if my luggage hadn't already been bursting at the seams. I'm hoping they'll do custom cribbage pegs someday! Friendly staff was happy to talk shop... ha, couldn't resist the workshop joke. Two benches on the porch, parking lot attached.

I visited the Koa store after seeing koa in various shops on the island. The Koa Store is by far the best place to buy koa items! The prices are very fair and the staff is incredibly friendly. After flying home and wanting more items I was able to also place a phone order and the experience was convenient and easy!

    Koa Store. Stop in!

I had been searching for Koa bracelets for a very long time and I am so happy that I finally made it to this store. It seems like you are almost walking inside a gallery, but the friendly owner is welcoming and makes you feel comfortable looking at everything. Found authentic bracelets at better prices than anywhere else. You will find this store near the Wailua Falls turnoff. Stop inside and find truly one of a kind pieces at reasonable prices.

In a nutshell: wonderful crafts, sustainably sourced, and ships the products home If you are looking for an authentic souvenir, this is the place to go. The Koa Store sells beautiful Koa artifacts, all made by hand either at the workshop next door (visible through a window) or by local artists. Candace was incredibly helpful, walking us through the different grades of koa wood, how it's harvested (scavenged from fallen trees), and in general was welcoming and charming. It was a pleasure to shop here- highly recommend!

All the items here are gorgeous. I in particular bought jewelry for myself, sisters and mother. Items are well crafted and extremely reasonable in price. The items here are truly unique. I went to various shops that claimed unique or one of a kind designs and (got duped as well at the Hanapepe Historic Town) and found them at other shops.

Similar to Kauai, I live in a state that banks big on tourism. Similar to Kauai, New Mexico is a place that doesn't sell out (define that as you may) and has a lot of cultural soul, historic pride and sly personality, as opposed to our neighboring southwestern states. Thus, the Locals know that our desert island is simply authentic. While the average tourist brings home a suitcase of dreamcatchers (most likely made in China) and moccasins (made in Minnesota), the best goods are produced by local artists. While I won't say By The Sea is a purveyor of strictly local finds, if you spend some time digging, you'll dig what you find around here. Shirts and hats are simply cooler than anything I'd seen anywhere else. I can't define cool, it just is, you'll know it when you see it. High quality products produced in America. Funny jabs and smart, proud merch. Just go. My wife got a baseball cap that looks straight outta the 80's, and I'm not ashamed to note that I remember that decade.

I've noticed that a particular Reebok dry fit shirt seems to sell for $9.99 for any size, and have learned that it's great to take on trips (easy to hand wash, easy to rinse, quick drying). So noticed that they sold them here too and bought one. Also saw that a comparable Hurley shirt was around the same price, so got one of them too. Both will go into my trip clothing rotation. What's funny is that because the sales tax here is quite a bit lower than where we live (4.5% vs 10.5%), meant it was cheaper to buy it here than in Long Beach. And because of its proximity to the cruise port, there was a lot of new luggage on sale, with a lot of variety.

I successfully found a great handful of cute dresses/outfits (especially from the clearance rack), a couple of bottles of perfume, and shoes. A couple of areas were slightly disorganized, with merchandise on the floor, and the store was fairly busy with a bit of a wait. The staff members were friendly and helpful while working to ensure quick efficiency with the movement of the line. Overall, this Ross is worth stopping by for wonderfully affordable finds while in Līhuʻe.

The clothing prices are fairly expensive, but the quality of the fabric for both the Tori Richards and Pineapples pieces is very good. The clothing had a nice range of sizes, although was somewhat lacking in women's size medium for some styles. I visited the shop three times over the course of a week-long stay nearby (my indecisive husband was picking out a shirt), and I did not experience the poor service highlighted in other reviews.
