Perfect souvenir shop in Kauai, but definitely pricier for some items/snacks. You can buy Noms and other chocolate covered macadamia nuts at Walmart or Costco for a lower price. This ABC store was smaller compared to others read more

Per other reviews, this ABC store on the island of Kuaui is quite small. But because it was the closest one to our cruise port during our stop-over, it got very crowded when I stopped in, to pick up some appreciation snacks for our room stewards. There were 4 cashiers working at the same time, and the lines were still 8 people deep. But it continuously moved and I was able to checkout using a credit card. Purchased Kauai Island Honey 12 oz for $7.49, two Manca (pretty sure meant to confuse folks with Manuka) Honey 2 oz for $4.49 each and two bags of 9.25oz Doritos [Nacho cheese and cool ranch] ($8.09 each). Also got an Eco Shop ABC bag for $0.49, a nice cheap souvenir. read more

Pretty near our hotel, with good restaurants nearby. Good selection of food items, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Plenty good items to take home too, at the end of our vacation. Spent so much that we got a free gift. read more

Enjoyable store and friendly customer service. Stopped in several times during my 7 days on Kauai'a to purchase water, wine, beer, ice, snacks and sushi. Prices are actually very reasonable for Hawaii. read more

The iconic Hawaii souvenir one stop shop can be find throughout the islands. They have your basic shirts, hats, leis, snacks etc for bringing trinkets back to family and friends or yourself. I picked up a hat for $8.99 for my dad, a hair clip for $9.99 for mom and a Hawaiian shirt dress for $23, also a plumeria start for $9 and some salt and cookies for my dog sitters and spent $80 so nothing too crazy. The staff deals with a lot of tourists coming off the cruise ships and for a smaller store they had quick service. read more

Friendly staff and excellent selection Went here a few times during our vacation Reasonable prices read more

We needed to stop at ABC for a couple additional items prior to our luau. This one was conveniently located on the way. It's a smaller store, so they don't offer as many options as some of the other larger stores, but they still had what we needed. The staff was also very friendly and helpful during our visit. read more

This store is really great walking distance from the resort that we were . Definitely come back read more

This abc store had an okay selection but we found others that had more. This was in a convenient location near Safeway. The employees were friendly and helpful. read more

Overall this is a decent store to buy a bunch of touristy stuff, souvenirs and/or things you may have forgotten for your trip. This specific review is regarding the staff and how they were so completely rude to me. I went in to return an unused item, as I was told that this would not be an issue by staff at a different location. It was unopened and I had the receipt and the two women that assisted me acted like I just asked them to run a marathon. One of them all but had a temper-tantrum and then proceeded to speak about me in her native language. This was my worst customer service experience on the island. I will not return to this location. read more

Friendly staff. Enjoy eating the egg salad sandwich. Lots of supplies in the store in case you forgot anything in your trip.

Staff is friendly and place is nicely organized. Good selection of souvenirs with great prices. Quick place to grab snacks and drinks.

Much better than expected. Has a bit of everything you might need on a trip from light snacks, drinks, clothes, souvenirs. Got a bunch of tourist type stuff for gifts -- even pearls!! Salt from hawaii; wooden items Hawaiian in design but made in Philippines Some are from Kauai some are from other islands Very interesting and convenient location. Easy parking. read more

ABC Store - Salt - Convenience Stores Near Me - Lihue, Hawaii

The workers were very friendly. It seems to have most everything that a temporary visitor would want. It's much easier to get to if you're staying in the area than driving all the way to Lihue, for the larger stores. I'm always amazed at how inexpensive their chicken is. My husband, my 2 sons & their wives, all come by here to shop, for their needs, as well, during our stay for a week here! We stopped here again, on our way to the airport, for last-minute-snacks, and/or to bring back home! read more

This is a great store with almost everything you need. It is within walking distance from the Marriott and has liquor, wine, food, souvenirs and essentials like cough drops and Mucinex. We stayed a week at the Marriott and visited this store several times. Friendly employees and good stock. Highly recommend. read more

Convenient store on the way from/to Lihue with the various sundry aspects needed for a visit to paradise. Note that you pay for convenience and the prices are actually higher than other places for things like alcohol to nuts, chocolate covered or otherwise. Staff is accommodating and variety is high. But again you're paying for convenience. read more

ABC Stores and Hawaii is synonymous to me. No matter which island you travel to there are always multiple ABC stores there for your vacation needs. Whether it is something you need during your trip or souvenirs. We walked over there to buy our traditional spam masubi for breakfast and some sunscreen. Great stop for things like this. This particular store is smaller than most but still has most things you are looking for. read more

It wouldn't be a trip to Hawaii without a visit to an ABC Store! They are everywhere and they are here to save you a few bucks. If you're staying at a resort, be prepared to get robbed and to pay high prices for watered down drinks. Thankfully ABC Store will give you what you need at the right price. Yes! I love ABC Store, and they even have a location in Las Vegas now. These guys tend to rock our worlds. read more

I appreciate ABC store. They have a good selection of items from clothing to beverages.

If you go to Hawaii, this is the place to go to buy souvenirs. They have just about everything: T-shirt's, hoodies, slippers, hats, key chains, mugs, ...you name it. It can be a tad pricey side . My bill came out to $817 for 3 baskets worth of stuff. Yikes! But Hawaii can be expensive, so best to be prepared. I'm deducting 1 star because they don't have a lot of wooden souvenirs. The ones they had were coasters and kitchen related supplies, nothing appealing. read more

Ever since I was little I've always loved ABC stores, and this location doesn't disappoint. I was able to stop in recently for my "Hawaii necessities" (papaya, water, poke, mixed mai tai, etc) and was out of the store relatively quickly. I'm almost always there only for food, so I don't pay much attention to tourist trinkets... but it looks like they have them. The staff is friendly and I look forward to my next visit. read more

ABC Store is one of my favorite stores in all of Hawaii! I love stopping here to get all of my general store necessities and it's also a great gift shop too! They have locations around the island. Generally speaking, the price is fair compared to other gifts that you would find around the island. They have snacks and alcohol as well. It's a one stop shop but to a new level. This location has specific designated parking out front so it's convenient. read more

Sandy from ABC is an absolute life saver. I lost my wallet on vacation and when I showed up to ask if it was there she was actively trying to look me up online to get my wallet back to me. Could not be more thankful for this woman and I wish everyone was as sweet as her. Thank you!!!!! read more

Got everything you need and price is good. It have a little if everything from food to t shirts for your family at home. I recommend it highly. read more

ABC stores are basically the go-to general stores of Hawaii. They have a wide variety of things that you'd probably need at some point or another whether you're local to the area or on vacation. It's a great place to grab snacks or souvenirs. This particular location wasn't as big or as varied as some of the locations I'd stopped by in Honolulu, and I'd found some of the same items available for cheaper in other stores on the island. That said, I wouldn't consider this place a no-go, because there definitely is a price to be paid for the convenience of having everything in one location. read more

I didn't think it's so much a discount store, but it was the closest grocery-type corner store within walking distance of the Marriott and has just about everything we needed (except sand toys, which we found at several other places including Del Sol). We found most of our staples here, including milk, 12-grain bread, bananas, apples, chips, salsa, and string cheese ($1 per piece). It's still cheaper than the gift shop in the hotel lobby, so we were glad it was there for the days we had no rental car. The chocolate-covered macadamia nuts are abundant and hard to resist. From a variety of colorful sarongs to at least three kinds of aloe vera gel, ABC has a lot to offer. read more

I like the ABC Store! I had fond memories of shopping here. My sweetie and I were within walking distance of here so, we purchased plenty of souvenirs as well as snacks such as a box of Kaua'i Kookies (yum!). They had every souvenir that I needed for my family and friends: t-shirts, postcards, magnets, boxes of chocolate macadamia nuts, and Kaua'i coffee (delish and smells really good.) I even bought some things for myself such as a grass skirt and coconut bikini top. (Don't ask. LOL) My boyfriend even bought me a sterling silver necklace with pearl tortoise and flower pendants. (Awwww!) I racked up enough purchases over $100 that I got a "free" gift. Anyway, I am giving this ABC a 3. It is kinda smallish for an ABC Store and some prices were a bit high. Wal-Mart in Lihue has better prices. I'm sure we'll be back but, I think it will be at the ABC Store in Kapa'a. read more

Reviewing an ABC store is kind of like reviewing a 7/11 but it's nice to know where they are for last minute inexpensive gifts like Tees and macadamia chocolates. You can also stock up for snacks and water to take to your hotel so you don't have to spend a fortune from the mini bar. This location is right near the Lihue Airport and the shopping center also has various other stores and a restaurant read more

Sad to write that I saw some of the same stuff at Wal-Mart slightly cheaper, but this place has better selection & is much less expensive than most tourist traps including the Kauai Products Fair. I love this friendly ABC store. I've always loved these stores, but especially this one, because they are so convenient and reasonably priced. It is not a large store, but it had everything I needed. Since we were indefinitely stuck in Kauai for several days, it was great to walk over here with my crew and stock up on some fresh fruit, drinks, macadamia nuts, sunscreen and booze. My hotel charged $5.50 for a cup of coffee, so it was refreshing to walk over to a sweet store that wasn't price gauging during this global pandemic. I even tried the spam sushi for the first time ever, and it was delicious. I was very happy with my purchases and the friendly aloha spirit of the staff. One of my friends listened to the CEO of ABC stores speak at a conference, and he told me that everything is locally sourced and farmed. This makes me love ABC even more. Lots of love and aloha from a stranded airline crew! Mahalo! read more

Whether I'm in Vegas or Hawaii I always stop at ABC for some deals. This is a great place for beverages and gifts and other junky souvenir stuff you really don't need but given you're caught up in the spirit of aloha you feel the need to buy. I duck in here often for sodas and snacks. And I have found they have many of the same gifty items you'll find in the airport stores but for much cheaper. For example, at the ABS store you pay $1.69 for aloha shirt post it notes and at the airport you pay $2.99. The same goes for Mauna Loa treats and other goodies that your mainland buddies will enjoy. If you need a cheesy t-shirt, beach coverup or some beachy jewelry this is a good place for that too. When in Hawaii I often seen locals in here too getting snacks and drinks so you know the prices must be good for them to fight their way through tourists. read more

Cool stuff and convenient. They had necessities, booze, toiletries to island souvenirs.

One stop shopping! Dropped by here every day of our one week vacation for everything from bottled water and snacks, to tshirts and various souvenirs. When they total $100 collectively you receive a free gift! read more

When we stay at the Kauai Marriott next door, with its small kitchenette, we end up walking over to ABC #59 in Anchor Cove to save some money over the very expensive sundries in Lamont's store in the Marriott. In the past, ABC had more groceries, but now they seem more of a T-shirt and trinket shop than I remember. However, they still have bread, milk, cereal, bananas, and Maui Chips as well as soda, beer, wine and booze - the essentials to sustain life on an island vacation. Save your receipts; if you end up spending more than $100, you can turn them in for a tote bag or calendar. read more
