    Katsu bowl and chicken yakisoba

Much higher prices than ABC Store, likely because it's so close to many high-end/luxury resorts. They carry apparel (but for some reason not women's swimwear), souvenirs, snacks, and ready-made foods like fruit bowls, salads, and bento bowls. If you come in the mornings, look for food and snacks that are marked down 50%! It'll be the cheapest meal you can get in the area! Also, don't make the same mistake I did, and be sure to heat up your bento bowls before leaving the store! I got back to the hotel and had to eat them cold lol!

High prices and no women's swimming suits, but you can get some ready made foods on clearance which can be made into an incredible meal. Men and children cam get swimwear here and there are many fresh fruit and vegetables that are prepared and ready for snacking at this location. I had a $6.99 clearance chicken salad with champagne dressing and cranberries and it was honestly the best meal I had on the island. I also had some $3.99 clearance pineapple with li-hing powder. My husband bought a chicken katsu bowl and a chicken chow mein. Visited: January 2023

10-21/22 looking for a paddle board

10/21/22 Looking for a souvenir for a friend & hubby is on the hunt for a hat, and a kick board for me. I'm looking for a fridge magnet. I like the idea of getting souvenirs that are either eaten or something useful, something that won't collect dust (well the magnet might) I prefer useful items so each time the person that I'm giving it to will remember who or where it's from all the while being handy. Plus it's small & not bulky to add weight in the luggage on the trip back. The fridge magnet is perfect, just stick it on the fridge, you see it each time to open the fridge & you put a note on it. Found my magnet & kick board at Whaler's General Store, no hat for hubby. Next stop, The Shops at Kukui Ula.

Love this place. It's a great stop for a bite to eat, grab a gift & recharge. Plenty of yummy food options, refreshing beverages & seating.

I always need to stop in at a Whalers or ABC store on my last day to pick up some treats for the folks back home.

We were very happy to stumble upon the fact that this was a restaurant in addition to a market. We…read morecame twice in three days. We sat on the patio but they call the main dining room however it is outside. The host and the servers were very nice on both days helping us choose our dishes and beverages. The first night were shared the shrimp and unui (sp?) patties. They were tasty and slightly sweet but over-charred and the sauce served with them did not complement them very well. It needed a fresher sauce or something with a little kick The first night I Had the chicken Which is actually a tiny little bird I should've known from the name. - pouisson. It was well cooked, but there was very little meat on all of the bones. And also needed a sauce of some kind. The one baby bok choy was a nice addition. Two of the group had the fish and chips it was made with swordfish that night and was very tasty. However, the chips were slightly limp and not hot. No one wanted to return them, but they really were not very good. One of the other entrées was the veggie bowl with seared Aji tuna and it had quinoa at the bottom with lots of roasted beets and other vegetables. It was a very good dish. The second time I ordered the grilled seafood bowl because that night they were offering Oppa as the grilled fish on the kebabs/skewers that were served on top of the bowl the seafood was cooked, absolutely perfectly, and it had pickled cucumbers, pickled red onions, slightly cooked carrots, and then regular cucumbers on top of lightly dressed soba noodles. It was a very tasty and hearty bowl. We also ordered a kale, beet and blue cheese salad for the table, but what came out was their strange version of Caesar salad, which has chickpeas on it which of course we did not want. It took them quite a while to bring the kale and beet salad to the table, however when they did, it was quite tasty a combination I would not have thought of on my own The first night we ordered the passionfruit cheesecake which had a strange chocolate crust that was too thick and a very light topping of passionfruit. It was fine, but we would not order it again. The whole restaurant is a nice change from all of the really overpriced offerings in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is professional and fun at the same time.

Best poke bowl that I had on Kauai!…read more This restaurant has outdoor seating and also a health-centered grocery store inside. It's in the main Poipu outdoor shopping mall area. We ordered takeout and while waiting for our food, we browsed the grocery aisles and then checked out the surrounding shops. I really enjoyed the Ahi poke bowl. There was this tasty kimchi cucumber on the side with sweet o ions and avocado. The fish was fresh. G got the quinoa and vegetable bowl, topped with roasted chicken. It was a delicious salad with beets, macadamia nuts, kale, and more- and the chicken was nice and moist.
