Usually, there's two places I come after landing at the airport; 7-Eleven in Hanamaulu for the musubis, or Konohiki (across the street) for local plate lunches and poke selections. As you will see, the pics of musubis are just a small taste of what you'll find. It's like finding treasure! One summer, this place was selling custard pie that came the closest to what Tip Top offered back in the ole' days:) nice rich golden yellow. The staff are nice and friendly. Visitors and locals, the next time you pass by Hanamaulu, do yourselves a favor and stop by to grab some musubis... and cookies... and manapua... maybe even a bento! read more

I wish we had 7-11s that were decent in the mainland. It's like in every other country has more fresh food available. Not the best, but can go a long way. I enjoyed getting hot foods such as spam musibi, longoniza musibi, salmon rolls, and even some sui mai for the road and snacks for the beach. It was like the ones in Japan with stuff like the egg salad sandwich and onigiris. Service was pleasant. Always a line. read more

This store is slightly hidden. It's located across Mc Donald's. You'll find local favorite snacks, affordable and tasty. We stop here specifically for the warm Chinese bows and siu mai, and musubi snacks. Get to the store before the lunch our for fresh foods. I would stop here again to try other snacks. The clerks were all friendly and the store well stocked! read more

Musabas ! These cannot be found in CA. Definitely will be stopping by a few times during the trip. Can't complain with the price or taste. A nice quick bite read more

If you never snagged a spam masubi from 711 in HI then change that and stop in and fix yourself!

I love 7-11 in general, but this one really made mainland ones look like trash. The hot food selection was out of bounds. I've always gone to 7-11 in Oahu for the best musubi I, but they also had Japanese candies, loco loco, kimchi fried rice, siomai (they called it something different), and a bunch of other random hot plates ready to go. Loved it and definitely a must if you are hungry in Kauai read more

What can I say? I'm into the Buffalo rollers and the big gulps. 711 has delivered a tasty and guilty pleasure.

After looking at reviews and videos of this particular store and it's ready made food to go, we had to try it after having just arrived at the Lihue airport. They have a vast assortment of food to go; meat and rice bentos, musubi, saimin, sandwiches, etc., for pretty much everyone's tastes. A word of caution is to check the freshness date on these items. I saw some that had a freshness date that expired two days before and I thought, well, this isn't as fresh anymore and who knows when that item was delivered to the store. We bought musubi, siopao, breakfast bento, and fresh dumplings. The dumplings and siopao were delicious. The other two items seemed a bit flavorless and dry. Outside looks like your typical 7-11. Staff was nice and friendly. read more

It has good food and a wide selection of it. ambiance was like any other 7-11. The deluxe musubi was great.

So rude! I go up to the register the First Lady tells me her register is closed to go to the other lady ok I do, then she takes a deep breath and says to the other workers "I'm already counting my drawer" & they argue between each other who will help me & then the one looks at me and says "what, what do you want" I tell her the one item I wanted to purchase and as I already have my ID out ready to give to her literally right in front of her she says "I need your ID" I reach out more to her so she takes it & she moves around the register and says rudely "I'm over here". All this happened & then my boyfriend walks in behind me to make a purchase and the lady who told me her register is closed already literally helps him at hers lol. Such disrespect honestly. Horrible service. read more

Amazing service, delicious spam musubi & ramen. The store is also clean and easy to access. Minimal parking but it was not an issue

Hey yo ~ best place to eat on Kauai. There, I said it. Crazy, I know! But stick with me people. It starts with the pork hash - little dumplings with oily, salty, porky amazement in a dumpling wrapper. So good! I find that I keep stopping into 7-11 just to get another one. They're right there next to the bao buns - which let's face it - are always good. The other big draw is the huge assortment of little bento boxes. In there morning, it's usually spam, eggs and rice or moko loko - looks so wrong, feels so wrong but is surprisingly delicious. Later on it's things like pork and cabbage on rice, teriyaki chicken, saimin noodles and on and on. All this tasty is there for me 24/7, and I can get a Big Gulp. So yeah read more

Love a 7-Eleven Hawaii! We got the sushi and it was good for the price and convenience. Nice experience that does not exist on the mainland. They also had a haupia slurpee! A fun treat. We also got an order of their shumai and were so surprised how tasty and of quality they were. read more

Driving by we remembered and stopped in again for our Manapua, Char Siu, and Dim Sum fix. We came in a little late, but we were still able to get some tasty treats to take back with us. This time they had a special: Buy seven and get one free. Who doesn't like free? We did notice, though, that the amount of meat inside of the Manapua has decreased, quite a bit, which is a bummer. I took a star off for that. Sorry, 7-11, but I stopped for the Char Siu, not the bread. Still, though, this is a great stop to pick-up some yummy snacks before or after the beach. read more

This 711 is conveniently located right by Lihue Airport so I suggest stopping by here to stock up on Hawaiian snacks if you have some time to spare before your flight. They carry the "7&i" branded items, which can only be found otherwise in Japan. These range from $3-$10 and include snacks like rice crackers, mini chocolate covered wafer sticks, vanilla biscuit cookies, mini chocolate cookies, and more. You can also find hot-and-ready to eat items such as spam musubi, teriyaki chicken and rice, manapua (or cha siu bao), onigiri, and grab and go ramen bowls. I brought a spam musubi with me onto my plane and it was a great treat for the 10 hr flight. Interestingly enough, I did not see a rolling hot dog machine which is quintessential of mainland 711 stores. Of course, there is a slurpee machine with unique flavors I've never seen at mainland store such as lychee, banana, and passion fruit. However, I believe they rotate the slurpee machine's flavors every so often so these flavors may be limited time only. You can easily spend $20+ here buying snacks to bring home to the mainland. read more

Super yummy food and great service! We love getting our snacks there when we are in town!

Fair price however store should be kept cleaner instead they have boxes all over the place, for fire hazard should keep isles open and clean. Island fast food and mainland in and out cheap 7-11 is your best stop vs McDonald's. read more

not to be dramatic, but the kimchi fried rice spam musubi changed my life. the manapua is giant. there's also your run of the mill 7 eleven treats if you're in need of that. read more

This is 1 out of the 2 7-Eleven chains in Lihue. This one is much more busier compared to the other one @ Hanamaulu town.

Service is so bad! The employees in Hanamaulu 7-11 can be an ass! Place is dirty, philipinos shouldn't be talking philipino, and they should all go school and learn customer service! Very bad attitude when a customer needs help. Not very helpful either. Lucky Im not their boss, I would fire them for sneaking food, bad service and not doing their job the way its subposto be done! I rate them a "1" outta "10!" read more

When my fiancé told me they sell spam musubi at the 7-11 I was beside myself. We stopped in on the way back from the airport just to get some tasty, Hawaiian specific treats. Spam musubi, teriyaki chicken musubi, manapua, and dumplings - all options here, and all were purchased. And it was NOT gas station or convenient store quality - that was the most mind boggling part. These were actually fresh, and delicious. I'm craving it just writing about it. read more

Super rude cashier because my wife forgot her mask and had to go back out to the car to get it. It was late and we were just on our way home from a long day. We had a normal day around about 40 people and we were not required to wear mask where we came from. So she was not thinking about it. And my wife apologized and everything. I don't care what the situation is you do not treat a customer like this. Totally uncalled for. Then she asks for id from my 50 year old wife for a pack of smokes. So my wife had to go back to the car again. Bought smokes all over the island and at another 7-11. Never got asked for id. Screwing with my wife because either we are from the main land or because she had to go back out to the car to get her mask is not right. If you want to be treated like crap because the cashier is having a bad day come here. Many many other places to have the same things 7-11 sells. My wife was totally nice and she did not have to be. That cashier did not deserve to be treated as nice as my wife treated her. I don't know what you require from your employees. But if mine treated anybody like that. They would be fired. Customers pay our bills and if you piss off enough customers it affects our bottoms line. Just one loses you money. Thought it was just going to be a quick stop. The reason why we stopped at a 7-11 and it turned into an ordeal that upset my wife. And my wife still treated your employee with the respect your employee did not deserve. Won't be coming back on any of our future trips. Why would we. read more

This place was convenient! They had some quick masubi and drinks I could grab before heading down to the beach. Only down side was their card machine stopped working so I had to pay cash however they made me feel like it was my card! This is not your typical 7-11 from the main land, we stopped here after getting in late and we're starving. Got some amazing saimin and creamy pork Romen, and man I couldn't stop thinking about how 7-11 just blew my mind. It's worth a stop in if you want a late night bite. It's not a 5 star restaurant, but it hits the spot for sure. read more

I bought a tampon here and the cashier wouldn't let me use the restroom to put it in. That's just inhumane.

I love visiting 7-Eleven when I'm in Hawaii. I usually like picking up my spam musubi here but this time I discovered their shumai. I was quite intrigued when I saw them and decided to give them a try. We tried the kimchee, shrimp and pork hash. My favorites were the kimchee and shrimp. I would pass on the pork hash next time, it wasn't anything special, a bit bland. read more

What's not to like about 7-11's really. Spam musubi. Enough said. The one in Hanama'ulu is right near my parent's house, so it's convenient. A bike ride away, easy stop for treats on the way to the beach or after a day outside. Slurpees, cold drinks, and again, musubi. :) read more
