Bamboo everything. That's how I can sum up this shop. All of their products are cloth made from…read morewoven bamboo. It's not a massive selection and you won't find much in the way of patterns, but they do have a lot of colors, which is helpful. This store sells shirts and sheets that are eco-friendly, soft, and allegedly very durable. The best selling point is that they are lightweight and cool. They reportedly breathe as well as cotton, and the sheets apparently don't get as hot at night. The sales people are very informative and friendly, but not pushy. It's a bit more expensive than you can find bamboo products elsewhere, but then again, everything is a bit more expensive in Hawaii, so I'm not too surprised. We ended up not buying anything on this initial trip, but I'll probably be buying from them online soon.

It also launders wells. These little shops are dotted around the islands and each shop has a little different variety of stock. Prices are too much different than other active wear stores.

Walmart is conveniently located near the Līhuʻe Airport, which was my first stop coming into the island. I was intrigued by the idea of browsing and purchasing a good variety of Hawaiian snacks. I was truly impressed by the offerings, such as Milk Chocolate Island Macs, Hawaiian Sun drinks, Kauaʻi Coffee, Maui Style Potato Chips, Hawaiian 3D candy, and much more. The store was well-stocked and easy to navigate. In the afternoon, the inside was very busy with many shoppers, which is understandable since this is the only Walmart on the island of Kauaʻi. The parking lot had plenty of spaces, making parking easy and stress-free. I also noticed roosters roaming around; how adorable! I will definitely be returning to this Walmart location. I plan to pick up more snacks and souvenirs that I don't normally find back home in California, or in most parts of the U.S., for that matter.

Finally took the plunge, though I waited until these bed places have their annual Fourth of July sales. After looking at a few places on Yelp, I decided to try MattressFIRM first because they had good deals, a bonus, and it's nearby. My sales associate was Kekau. She was VERY helpful, answering all my questions, letting me try out different mattresses, and pointing out which mattress goes best for the type of sleeper (i.e. side vs. back). She actually LISTENED to what I had to say, especially what I did NOT want. We even had time to talk story, and I found out I am her sister's classmate! In the end, I got a queen and full sized mattress and platforms. The platforms are the bonus! It's the adjustable electric platform that raises one end of the mattress, and it was INCLUDED at no extra cost! What a deal! Delivery was scheduled for the very next day! I cannot say if this is true for everyone's purchase, but since my mattresses were in stock, delivery was quick. In just over 24 hours, my new beds were set up, and my old ones were hauled away. The delivery guys were equally awesome. They were very careful about not hitting walls or other furniture. Set up was quick, and they were done in less than an hour!
