Nice selection of Hawaiian boutique clothing, including Tori Richards. I would recommend this place for a quality Hawaiian souvenir that will last longer than a cheap t-shirt or sarong. The clothing prices are fairly expensive, but the quality of the fabric for both the Tori Richards and Pineapples pieces is very good. Great pricing on sterling silver jewelry, although I cannot speak to the value on the local pearls. The clothing had a nice range of sizes, although was somewhat lacking in women's size medium for some styles. I visited the shop three times over the course of a week-long stay nearby (my indecisive husband was picking out a shirt), and I did not experience the poor service highlighted in other reviews. Went here last week because I wanted to shop for a dress. The woman manning the store was definitely not an example of Hawaii's aloha culture. She didn't even bother greeting me or my daughter and she was just in front of us as we walked in. But I noticed that she was welcoming other customers who came in the store! (Things that make you wonder!) I asked her a question about the clothes designer and she didn't even bother to look me in the eye when she responded. Instead she made it a point to talk to another customer ! At that point I was done. I work in the travel industry and good customer service is number one for me! I provide it and I expect it , especially if you work in a major tourist destination where you can ruin someone's day by just being plain rude and unwelcoming. Anyway I left and went to Ayatar, the clothes boutique across from this store. The sales person at Ayatar was friendly and accommodating so I bought $500 worth of stuff from her because I always reward good customer service. read more

I went into the shop today 3/24/25 and bought some pearl earrings. The saleswoman treated me in a very condescending way. When I was trying to get some sticker residue off of an earring, she asked "can I help you?" from across the store and after I explained the sticker residue issue, she looked at me like she didn't believe me and didn't even try to help. When I asked for an alcohol swab to try on some earrings, she begrudgingly tried to find one. When I asked for another pair that didn't have a large blemish, she let out a big sigh and said "pearls come from oysters and they will have always have blemishes" even though I saw there were pearls that had smaller blemishes that I preferred. Did not appreciate her attitude at all and will not come back to this location. read more

Nice store. Weird people. I wrote this to the store owner after a strange experience there. I received no reply, so here ya go, People of Yelp: I bought a men's shirt and two pairs of earrings for about $184 in February 2023. I was in this store and the sales lady talked with me a fair amount, but this man was also talking to me a lot while he was trying on shirts. He kept talking to me and engaging with me as if he was a sales person. Then he told me how disciplined the lady was, since she had not closed the store yet. He added he had discipline in the military and would not go home until his work was done. He talked a lot for a fellow customer, and he kept commenting on what I was looking at. I thought maybe he was on staff--but he was literally trying on clothing and looking in the mirror in front of me. I tried to pay with my credit card, but apparently the internet was out. The associate wrote out the credit card information and my zip code on a credit card triplicate paper form. I left and walked around the shopping center. About 10 or 15 minutes later I was in the last store I had time to shop in car from this boutique. I had been talking to the clerks. I was going to buy a few more specific things quickly and then leave to get ready for dinner with my wife. The man from the other store came up to me and said the credit card did not go through. Huh? I asked him if he worked at the store. He said he was the sales lady's boyfriend. The interaction was unsettling and embarrassing. I immediately left the store I was in (never to return, my last shopping moment on Kauai) and walked across the shopping center with this strange man walking right behind me. (Had he been following me for long? I wondered.) I don't recall anyone apologizing. I do recall when you or she saw me you or she laughed and said, "Oh, he found you!" She took two dollars off my purchase of $184 and change. I left with a really creeped out taste in my mouth. There would have been no problem if the sales lady had written down my telephone number. Then she would not have had to sent the intrusive boyfriend hunting me down. To the owner who never replied: This is not how to handle such problems--at the expense of a customer. Tell the boyfriend to leave customers alone. Leave the customer alone even if you fail to get the right contact information and get the credit card number incorrect. read more

Cute clothes, rude staff. We went in to find a casual dress for a wedding and had two children with us. Staff was quite intolerant of children, who were not misbehaving, but who did glance into open fitting rooms. One sales associate raised her voice at our daughter, who was looking in the fitting room. Staff also never asked us if they can help in any way. read more

I hate to use the term prejudice lightly but by the way I was being watched, they did not want me in there. I am in disbelief of how this establishment approaches hiring their staff. Love the clothing however it's not made for ladies with long legs or tall people. I bought several different items even washing according to directions they shrunk- not a big deal for the fit however the length was too short. So I bought a second set of items and was even more careful when washing unfortunately the same thing happened. read more

This smallish boutique is located in the Coconut Market place. We had stopped at the farmers' market and then wandered the market to check out the other stores. The entrance does not face the road so you need to be walking within the marketplace. I was looking for some Hawaiian shirts so we stopped to look. The sales associate, Laura, was super helpful and friendly. She really took a lot of time and showed me lots of options. I told her what I was looking for and she explained the different fabrics. The wife knew the brands and said they had reputations for high quality. The prices are on the high end, but the quality is outstanding and a lot of the clothing is made onsite. I ended up getting two shirts that I really like and can wear for many years. I could have spent a lot less and gotten cheaper quality shirts, but I am really happy with my selections. Best dress shop on the island! This unassuming shopping center has the most fantastic little clothing store that we discovered when we needed to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things. How could we not stop into this shop with the cute clothes on the sale rack outside - so many great options for super low prices! Once inside the shop I knew we were in trouble - everything appealed to me. I found cute tops, bottoms, and dresses - the difficulty was narrowing it down to what I really needed. If they had an online store that would really be dangerous! For now I'll have to wait for my next visit! read more

This was a new find for me on this trip. The staff was extremely helpful and nice and the clothing was actually unique, with so much duplication of clothing on the islands overall it was refreshing to have some dofferent options. Highly recommend and I will be gong back! read more

We ventured in to the Pineapple Boutique a few days ago... 4 dresses and 6 shirts later with a couple pair of earrings also we bid good-bye as we leave for home tomorrow! The selections in the store are wonderful, everything in multiple sizes. However, the highlight of our shopping was our sales associate, Robin, who helped us through the selection of everything we purchased. Robin was absolutely the best, answering all of our questions, and making suggestions. At one point the friend I was shopping with was unsure of what size shirt she should buy for her adult son. I joked that maybe we should find someone wandering around the mall and ask him to come in to try on the shirt.. Robin did just that going outside and politely asked a man to come in to try on a shirt!! We all had such a friendly discussion as this was happening! Beautiful clothing of handmade fabric and custom design, which is more affordable than you'd expect. Some beautiful jewelry pieces in a range of prices. The woman working my there (Judith) had a wealth of knowledge and was so helpful. She not only knew a lot about the boutique's products and fashion, but Kaua'i as well. Pineapples Boutique in the Coconut Marketplace is seriously my new favorite clothing shop on Kauai. They've been around for a while, but I've only recently discovered them. Within the last month, I've been in three times and I now own five gorgeous outfits from them. I love that the fabric for the women's clothing is so comfortable and breathable (perfect for that humid Kauai weather), and it's a great quality too. They also have an awesome selection of sale items if you're shopping on a budget. All the employees are so sweet and helpful. Definitely recommend this shop if you're looking for a cute and flattering outfit to add to your wardrobe. (They also have mens aloha shirts and kids clothing too!) read more
