My favorite shop! I always find something to cherish here. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I love their shop but wish there was more of the unique kitchzy but beautiful items. I had forgotten some items I bought earlier that day im an uber and uber was no help in getting my items back and so I went to buy them again and the lady at the desk let me have them without paying and was so nice about it. This store gave me so much help in such a short time when i spent so long with uber trying to get things back with no luck. The customer service was amazing, I am so thankful for their kindness. So terribly unfortunate that this shop is run by someone who is unkind to shoppers who want to support the local artists. Unwilling to share who the artists are so one could buy more products. I've been into this store a few times and sadly was not greeted kindly by a woman named Natasha. Only offered short responses with judge mental attitude. Unsure if it's ethnically charged as I am a minority but based on this unkindness I would not recommend anyone to shop here nor artists to host space here if they are unwilling to promote you. Really cute store tucked away on the strip! I was expecting to find more of the same touristy sort of "Hawaiian" and oceanside merchandise but this shop surprised me. The items are more specialty and perhaps gives off a modern hipster sort of vibe. It's hard to describe. The only way to know what I'm talking about is to check it out yourself! Remember that it's tucked away down a short lane between two other stores on the strip. Might be hard to find at first but the Google map actually has it pinpointed pretty accurately. read more

My Mom & Aunt have shopped at Kiko in the past and told me how much they love the shop. The various items for sale from cotton tea towels to textiles, jewelery from a few dollars to high dollars, greeting cards and books and journals, clothing and bags and hats. This boutique I had to see for myself! The minute I stepped off the sidewalk and into the courtyard I was embraced by the calming peaceful nature that is the essence of this store. Yes, it can be expensive (depends on what you are looking at), but they also carry the very affordable. More importantly it is not a cookie cutter tourist shop. The three owners are all women and are very welcoming as are the people who work for them. KIKO: a beautiful place that has beautiful things and beautiful vibes. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE this kind of stuff; cute quirky knick-knacks, local artist made stuff, off-beat decor. If the prices weren't so high I probably would've dropped a lot of dough here! It's a very cute store with a lot cool stuff, but the reason why I'm taking one star away is because of the service. I'm not sure if this is their usual since I've only been here once, but the girl who was working didn't greet us or even made us feel very welcomed. We were a group of 4 looking through the store ooh-ing and ahh-ing at everything, and I probably would've bought one of their expensive decorations ($24 for a little figurine....ah!) but the worker made me feel like she wasn't very happy that I was even touching anything. My wife scoped this place out on yelp and it was such a great shop. We met the owner and her daughter and they were sooo friendly. We ended up getting a hand made boat out of found objects and drift wood for our future baby room and couldn't be happier about it. You will not find any lame overdone Hawaiian print shirts or other soulless gift shop sameness. KIKO has an authentic and fresh vision, creating a thoughtful source of original, eclectic gifts to carry home. To note, they pay their contributing artists livable wages for their work...wherein a world saturated with big box boring and mass produced....THAT is a meaningful thing to support. KIKO has been noted as a pricey spot in some of these reviews on Yelp, but I will happily pay more for something from a local business if it means I am supporting a whole group of individuals doing their part to bring good into the world. Hands down the best shop on the island of Kauai. It reminded me of Etsy with so many cool fun items (in fact I think some of their items come from Etsy). Unique gifts, hilarious/ never seen before greeting cards, books, beautiful jewelry, home goods, cute kids stuff, scarves.... So much better than the cheap mass produced junk for sale in most shops, especially in Hawaii. My husband and I literally spent an hour in this store taking it all in.
