In terms of style, this place is one of my fave that I visited on the island. They have a lot of cute, unique items that you don't get to see anywhere else. I found a couple things I liked. Unfortunately, they were all overpriced in my opinion. While the quality is nice, I couldn't justify spending $80 before tax on a plain white shirt. If it was more affordable, I would've bought multiple items from them. I would've given them 4 stars, but they lost one because one of the employees kept watching me the entire time I browsed the store. Very exspensive and had the retail value marked much higher then it really is. for instance they were selling a game (little dinosaurs) for 12 dollars and said that the retail value was 40$ but a quick google search will show the retail value for that game is 19.82 at walmart. trying to scam people :( read more

My wife and I recently got married in Kauai. Three weeks in advance of our wedding, my wife ordered a dress from Shipwrecked. It was shipped to our home on the mainland. Her goal was to find an outfit that she could wear for our rehearsal dinner. My wife has spent well over $1000 at this store. She ended up selecting a different outfit she purchased from Shipwrecked to wear to the rehearsal dinner. We arrived two weeks after the purchase to Kauai and instead of shipping the return back for store credit we brought the dress with us. When my wife and I went to Shipwrecked to return the dress for store credit we were told no. This is after I spent 150 more dollars on two other pieces of apparel. This customer service is utterly ridiculous. After being a loyal return customer for so long, I cannot believe that our purchase and request to gain store credit for a return was denied. I caution any patron that may choose to shop at the store as you will likely receive the same poor and deplorable customer service that we received. I will never shop, nor will my wife ever shop, at the store again. So disappointing. read more

I purchased a dress for my rehearsal dinner online. On the night of our rehearsal dinner, I ended up not choosing to wear it as my daughter was sick in bed and I didn't want to get a nice dress dirty. I never wore it once except to try it on. It was 3 weeks ago that this was purchased. Prior to the wedding, about 3 days, I'd exchanged a top for a different top, without problems. When I went to return the dress for another item (and purchased other items while there, as did my husband), the employee texted me to say they would not exchange my $260 dress for any items in store even though they'd exchanged an item 2 days prior. I've shopped at Shipwrecked for 6 years and have been a very loyal customer. I am so disappointed in this service. I was not asking for money back, merely something I can exchange since it was a rehearsal dinner dress. Came in rushed yesterday right before a flight to LAX. My BFF told me that they carry ILIA skin and beauty and that the line is amazing. I wish I would have had more time because the bottle was leaking a bit when I checked before boarding. Regardless the product is amazing and the customer service was rad. The girl who was working opening shift on 9/9/22 gets a huge thumbs up for being sweet and helpful. God bless Shipwrecked Kauai! PS: I understand the majority of their stuff is way super duper expensive. However, check the sale baskets on the ground (there were 4 full baskets during our visit). Super upset that the crew in this great shop convinced me to buy a tinted makeup that was the WRONG color and they won't exchange. Super expensive blunder. They assured me it was my shade and when I got home to test a small bit, it TOTALLY NOT my skin tone. Also bought Sunnies for $320. I was never told that they don't exchange or credit for sunglasses. Do yourself a favor and visit this boutique while you're in Kauai! Located next to Java Kai. You could literally walk in through Java Kai because they are connected. We were having breakfast in Java Kai and walked right in when we were done. Lots of free street parking. This boutique is filled with the cutest swim wear and clothing for adults and kids. There's also accessories, makeup, etc. Something for everyone! I bought a bathing suit and a shirt for my daughter. The owner is very knowledgeable in regards to the fitting of the different brands she carries. I'm in love with my bathing suit! It's buttery soft. And my daughters shirt is also soft and breathable. I purchased some shoes and decided after 24 hours they were incredibly uncomfortable. I honestly don't know how anyone could wear them because the straps were so tight. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has had this same complaint. I stoped back into shipwrecked and asked if I could do an exchange for a different style or another item for equal value. The employee told me to go ahead find something for equal value. Then, changed her mind after speaking with the boss, and said I could have zero refund because they couldn't resell the shoes. I'm irritated because I was told two different things. I also think it's unreasonable because I would have agreed to another style of shoes as this one was simply intolerable. So beware - their exchange policy is subject to their mood and probably so strict with all items I would advise not to bother. But they probably get away with it because they are relying on tourist to buy their product and leave. Too bad I'm kamaaina and won't ever go there again. read more

Discovered this boutique while on a business trip to Kaua'i. Great selection of beach luxe clothing and swimwear for the entire family. As previous posts have mentioned, prices are a bit on the hefty end but i'm a fan of quality over quantity and one-of-a-kind pieces which you can definitely find here. Got myself a super cute one piece bathing suit ($95) and a functional Jonah Brown white tee ($50) which can be worn to the yoga studio or a hot summer night date #winning! Had a blast in this store. I shop a lot through out the islands and this little gem is a breath of fresh air. They really work at offering things you aren't seeing all in other stores. Shipwrecked Kaua'i is a super cute boutique and is probably my favorite on island. They sell beautiful bathing suits and clothing plus lots of other cool items throughout the store, such as coffee scrub, perfume, sunglasses, duffel bags, etc. It is a bit pricey so prepare to shop til you drop! read more

Very disappointed in this boutique! This was on my list of places to shop while here on Kauai. As I was shopping and looking at a clutch the gal behind the counter came out and told me not to take the clutch out of its case because 'it's expensive' and then said 'you'll get it dirty'. How am I supposed to decide to buy something if I can't look at it or touch it!? All while this was happening she was eating a greasy sandwich and chips.
