Finding your way upstairs adds to the speakeasy-style charm. The reception area alone sets the vibe: playful, stylish, and full of photo-worthy moments before you even sit down. It feels like you've discovered something not everyone knows about. We went with the small plate prix fixe menu (three courses), and each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and -- most importantly -- delicious. Every course left us wanting just a little more, which is exactly how a tasting-style experience should feel. Nothing felt rushed, and the pacing of the food was on point. Cocktails were also excellent, creative, well-balanced, and fitting for the ambiance. The only hiccup of the night was drink service being a bit slow. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but noticeable. Overall, a great Restaurant Week experience in a space that feels both intimate and fun. I'll absolutely be back to explore the full menu soon.

Our server was very attentive and made sure she checked in quite a bit. The food tasted pretty good, though the prices are astronomically high for what you get: Cajun pasta: My wife had this, it had four shrimp in it, and it was over $30. Burger: My son had this, and it was $22. Braised short rib pizza: This was good, though the crust could have cooked a little bit longer. For three people, the total bill was $130. I'm not sure that I would go here again due to the pricing.

Passing through town, we stopped for an early dinner. At 4:30 we expected the restaurant to be…read moreempty .... but NOOOOO. The place was jumping. We were happy they could seat us. My husband and I assessed Austin's differently. He ordered prime rib which he said was nothing short of perfect. Cooked medium rare as requested, tender, juicy -- he savored every bite. I scanned the menu. Nothing jumped out at me. (I generally don't gravitate to steakhouse-type restaurants.) I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs. My point of comparison is Longhorn's which offers more of a bang-for-a-buck, and in my opinion better tasting ribs. Not to say that Austin's aren't good. They are. Based on the popularity of Austin's, it's clear management knows what they're doing. But I think a small salad and baked potato should be available with the price of the entree -- not worth the extra $7 I was going to be charged. The salad is listed as 'field greens,' -- which it's not -- but reading the menu you'll see they mean iceberg and romaine. The salad was good, enhanced by their garlic ranch dressing. We washed down our meals with well-priced drinks: merlot ($8.90) and Blue Moon ($6.90), then splurged on dessert. Austin's flourless double chocolate brownie a la mode is very rich. One order for two adults is plenty. Austin's is aptly described as a family restaurant. A lot of kids. A lot of noise. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. While not my kind of restaurant, if prime rib is your thing -- this could be the place!

First road trip of the fall brought us to Berks Co and Black Sheep Tavern did not disappoint. Wings crispy yet juicy, fries a bit salty but good, burger cooked to order - juicy and flavorful, pretzel bites pillowy soft, and the odd ball Apple Beer Cheese Soup was different in a good way. Mary, our server was friendly and attentive and offered us plenty of advice for our first time visit. Her recs hit the spot. Would recommend and may stop back next time around.

I ordered a hand held chicken breast with their rum runner sauce, hubby did the smash burger and an order of fries. Everything we had was good, but you can tell by the picture that they are very small sandwiches. I am usually full when I go out to eat, not this time!. I know prices all around are high. My sandwich was small and the cost was 13.95. I guess we all must get used to it. The only other issue was they give you 2 separate bills, one for beer and the other for food...we had friends that after they paid their bill, ended up with an extra gratuity on their card that they had to call to get fixed since they gave cash tip like we did so at least the servers don't have to loss any tip $$, at least that is how it used to be. We wish them luck. They have been open since 2023.... loved reading about the history of the building they have on the menu.

Loved the front window open on a warm day and the outdoor seating as we walked in. Service: Hostess and Server were both very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both checked in on us, often. Which, for us, is super important not to feel forgotten. No problem here. Food: Uncorkd Burger (sub grilled chicken), Vegetable Risotto w/Salmon, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Homemade Vanilla Bread Pudding Cake & Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. My wife said, convincingly, that the Grilled Chicken Burger was good. (and that's saying something. (She's super picky about chicken sandwiches) My Vegetable Salmon Risotto was terrific. Fresh, bright, creamy, & flavorful. The salmon may have been cooked slightly over, but only slightly. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were very good. Not made in-house. The desserts were delicious. Bread pudding with Caramel Drizzle! Oh my! Light & Delicious. Stick Toffee Pudding Cake with a decadent dark chocolate sauce. Delightful. We took those desserts to go and had them at home. Delicious. Terrific experience, tonight. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly would recommend. 4.2
