Always great food. Down home good cooking kind of food! Prices are reasonable especially with the amount of food served. Service is always personable and nice. When family comes to town, we go here often. They have a wonderful case filled with delicious desserts. The restaurant is clean and well kept. You have to enter the bowling alley to get into the restaurant. Pretty good amount of parking available. Open area dining (no booths). Larger parties are easily accommodated as the tables adjust well. There is a bar area that has available seating as well. Melissa and Blue provided friendly and professional service for my breakfast while I was getting my car fixed nearby. This restaurant is actually in a bowling alley but it's a separate room with its own diner vibe. My eggs over medium were perfect as were the grits. Coffee was bottomless along with a large to go cup so I was sufficiently caffeinated! Life is good with a nice breakfast and friendly service. Ok had to get the skinny on this place. When we got there it's basically a diner inside the bowling alley. Sooo bright! Bring your sunglasses! You can sit in the bar and order in the diner part. Nice lighting in the bar BUT freezing cold. Ordered tacos and the nice guy behind the counter repeated the order like 3-4 times. Came out wrong but he was so nice not even considering that on the two stars. The tacos had tiny bits of hamburger absolutely no flavor. Mostly shredded cheese and lettuce and tomatoes. They charge $1 for a tiny sleeve of sour cream like you get mayo packets. Beer cold $3.50 during happy hour until 6pm and $4.50 after that. If the food and atmosphere was better I would have gladly given a better rating. I guess just not my cup of tea. read more

I'm going to give 2 stars & hope maybe I can change that in a future visit. My issue this evening is the saddest piece of grouper ever was $21.95. The side salad was so bitter we could not eat the salads... idk if it was washed in chemicals or what. No salad dressing for 2 salads. The menu says grouper comes with lemon & tarter sauce, I received none. I also added hot sauce to the order... we received none. The baked ziti was good. The salad again was not edible. The mashed potatoes were actually fresh & flavorful. They are real potato's. That was the best part of the meal.... Oh yeah... no lemons or sauce as advertised... read more

We went to the opening of The Kitchen, and the food was amazing! Connected to Dunedin Lanes, what a great option for food while you are bowling! The menu is extensive, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are open late on the weekend for some late night snacking. Longtime patrons of The Chatterbox breakfasts, yesterday we decided to try the restaurant that has replaced it. Now known as The Kitchen, slightly remodeled, it was attractive, clean, well decorated, upgraded utensils (just my pet peeve, I hated the old cheap utensils used at the Chatterbox). There is a varied menu and daily specials. We tried the Monday special, a $5 burger, it was enormous and cooked perfectly. We ordered fries, not included with the burger, they were well worth the extra cost, crispy and abundant. And I must mention the friendly staff, our waitress Jennifer was the best! I've eaten here four or five times and always had a good meal. They're $5 Burger Monday dining only is a really good deal. So is the Taco Tuesday $5 for two tacos and they are good. Friday 11/22/24 First and last time for us at this establishment. Access to the restaurant is thru the bowling Lanes which is separated from the lanes by a wall and door. Thus allows food to be brought to bowlers. From the time our order was taken until we received our food a full hour had passed. We asked 3 times if our food was coming soon and we were told shortly by our server each time. She also stated that our order had to be prepared again because when our order was done, it had been given to an Uber Eats driver ‍When our food did come out, the onion rings had a fish taste, apparently they were fried in the same grease that the fish was fried in Yes restaurants get busy but this place was NOT that busy or prepared to handle minimal quantities of diners. Although our server was apologetic, this is definitely NOT an acceptable way to run an establishment. NO compensation for inadequacy or incompatence from the kitchen/counter area was made by the establishment for their mistakes or poor service. read more

warning if you come here on a special night they will not let you take your leftovers home with you now. I came two weeks ago and they let me take home the wings I could not finish and tonight told me I was not allowed. Never heard of not being allowed to take the food you could not finish home with you. I also ordered the minimum amount of wings for the special. read more

Our first visit to The Kitchen was great! Brandon, our server, did an excellent job, and everything we ordered was well done. The menu is extensive. Hesitated to come here previously due to it being inside Dunedin Lanes, but it's a separate area and is set up like a cute Diner or Cafe. We will be back very soon! read more

Visited for lunch and was not disappointed. We both had the Frisco burger - juicy beef patty with Swiss, grilled onions and thousand island dressing on grilled sourdough - that was delicious and more than enough for one meal. Service was great. Ambiance isn't anything fancy but the food more than makes up for it. We'll be back for sure. read more

Food was great , sever was phenomenal , So called dinning manager was straight up jack ass who acted like he didn't want to be there at all ! I have over 30 years in the service industry and the couple I was dining in with were also not only veterans but also former servers. I know it's hard to find skilled labor but when the owner sits on his rear end and witnessed this display of customer NO service he has lost my business ! Had breakfast at your restaurant today, the food was very good. However the server was eating at the counter, very unprofessional. When the bill arrived I gave her the coupon for $5 off. She said that expired and I can't use it, if she accepts the expired coupon she would have to pay it out of her pay. I sure that not legal, either way you spend lots of money trying to bring in new customers, having them leave unset over $5 is very poor business. read more

Went for the first time to The Kitchen Dunedin. Husband had turkey club and homemade chips and I had the chili dog and Cole slaw. Very satisfied and large portions. Looking forward to prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays. Felt wonderful seeing familiar faces from the local restaurant scene and looks like we will have great home cooking here! read more
