The Ladies Night dinner specials they've offered recently including the filet mignon and the bolognese lasagna sounded pretty good. The bar offers 6 draft beers, beer bottles/cans, mixed drinks and cocktails. Happy Hour Specials (Mon-Thur) are offered after 9pm. I stopped by the Alibi Aftermath for food recently and took a seat at the bar. A patron (who had a bit much to drink) was slurring wisecracks at the bartender, who was being a good sport. The place was moderately busy. I got an ice water and ordered the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders ($9.50 plus tax) and the Ziti with Meatballs ($15.99 plus tax), which came out together as requested, in about 15 minutes. The 7 breaded chicken tenders were small soft tender chicken strips coated in a garlic parmesan sauce, a bit salty tasting. The al dente ziti was smothered in a tomato sauce topped with ricotta cheese & mozzarella cheese and 2 homemade meatballs. While the meatballs were soft and very good, the ziti dish was very salty tasting. I also cut up most of the chicken tenders and ate with the ziti, both salty. I definitely needed the big ice water to wash down the aftertaste. After I was done, it took a bit to cash out since the bartender was taking care of patrons at the bar and at the tables. The check came out to $27.78 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food was okay and salty on this visit. The service was adequate.

They also operate the popular Buxton's Pizza food truck out of the Derry area. This restaurant & bar offers a casual and cozy dining atmosphere with 3 booths, 2 tables, and seating up at the bar. They also have a wood fired pizza in the open kitchen and classic framed pictures on the walls.  The food menu offerings include a selection of appetzer plates, salads, wood fired pizzas, and desserts (lemon ricotta cake, chocolate tart, cannolis). They offer a limited selection of draft beers from Rockingham Brewing Co, bottles/cans beers & wine, and bottled Coke products. The prices are moderate here. I stopped by Buxton's Restaurant for dinner recently and took a seat up at the bar. Staff brought over menus and a cup of tap water to drink. I placed my order for the Antipasto ($8 plus tax) and a Bianca Pizza ($19 plus tax). My food was served together within 8 minutes. Served in a small bowl, the Antipasto had a variety of stuffed Italian hot peppers (prosciutto& cheese), parm cheese, house pickles and marinated olives in an oil dressing. The 12" Bianca was topped with a light cream sauce, garlic, mozzarella, stracciatella spread, basil, truffle on a thin light soft & crisp pizza crust, minimal char from the wood fired oven.  The food I had was very enjoyable and I finished everything. I passed on the dessert and got the check which was presented on a portable electronic payment reader, $29.30 with tax and before tip. The service was very prompt and the owner also stopped to check on things.

I went with the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and everything was delicious, so delicious that I cleared my plate which is a rare occasion for me because I'm a picky eater & I don't usually finish all of my meals (5 stars for this dish). We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.

Only about 20 minutes or so from Portsmouth but a fun spot for cocktails, wine and dessert. Ambiance is chill with comfy bar seats, side tables and bartenders that can shake, sitr and whip up almost any cocktail to your liking. We did share their Amaro Flip which was fabulous.
