I was surprised by this restaurant. Interesting dishes and the flat bread has many variations. Also, try the soups.

We had a party of 7 and we were very excited to finally try Dreo. We started with 2 orders of the calamari and the spinach dip special. My husband noticed the calamari also had shrimp which I am allergic to. They happily removed the shrimp but unfortunately it's fried in the same oil (which is completely logical) but everyone at our table (besides me) throughly enjoyed the calamari. I cannot even begin to explain how good the spinach dip was. I'm not sure I'll have want to eat spinach dip without garlic bread again!!! Next up entrees: 2 ribeyes, 1 NY strip, 1 Korean BBQ Bowl, 1 Soy Maple Glazed Salmon, and 1 Tuscan Fried Chicken. I am newly pregnant and to be honest I was not looking forward to eating out because my go to is rib eye but I refuse to eat well done meat so instead I ordered the Tuscan fried chicken. I also asked to sub the mashed potatoes for truffle fries and the veggie medley for green beans. They had no problems with my requests which I loved. I loved every single bite of my chicken and I actually stopped caring that I was missing on steak! In fact every single person at our table loved everything they ate too. We ended our meal with cookie skillets and again absolutely delicious! Now our meal was fantastic by itself but I have to say our waiter Brett was just as amazing!! He couldn't have done a better job and he totally rolled with our parties over the top personalities. Even if the food wasn't outstanding we'd go back just for the service! I really hope of the owners or managers see this; Brett is fantastic and deserves praise!! We will definitely be back and since I still have about 7 and half months to go I will be coming back for more Tuscan fried chicken soon!!

Have been to this location as the primary gust at least 5x since opened and countless as a guest as well. I would say the meals are usually very good HOWEVER, on holidays I would caution against this place. The food and even the mixed drinks are just off. The General Partner came over when drinks were returned on NYE and we told him they still were off and to just bring Bailey's and we would add it in. He said "that is not how we typically do it but I will get it for you and check back over." Someone else brought it over and we never saw the General Partner again. I guess he really didn't care...... Cream spinach had ZERO taste to it and we really didn't touch it. When they came to clear the table and they asked if we wanted to take it home would have been the time to ask questions but that didn't happen either. Steak and Scallops were as expected and the french fries were crispy as requested. Otherwise, not worth the price of admission on this night. The other really bad night was Mother's Day and that was a disaster from start to end. When another suit came over with the check and the only comps were the drinks and the Baileys he said "Well it is our first NYE and always things to fix." At this price point get it together before the customer shells out the same money regardless of the day of the week or the holiday on the calendar.

It was definitely full of whimsy and love. Our table was ready right on time. The spanakopita was an unexpected large bubble of dough vs traditional, so if you want traditional, heads up. It was fine, though. They had a decent Valentine's Day themed drink menu too. I'd guess it was their normal drinks with cute names for the day, but as a first timer I could be way off here. The short ribs were large, meaty and tender. Quite delicious. The mashed potatoes were cold but at least if you had a bite with the meat you couldn't tell as much. My lady got the chicken souvlaki and we both loved it. All in all, Greek is rarely ever going to be my first choice but this is what you do when your love wants it :) I'd be interested in going in for lunch on a non holiday hoping they have some good Greek pizza. Nice staff. Definitely felt pressured to order booze but after saying I was set it did settle. Our waitress was super friendly and kind.

We celebrated my birthday with a lovely lunch at Sevmar Bistro in Salem. Everything was delicious!…read moreWe all ordered the chicken kebab with rice, grilled vegetables, and a side salad, and for appetizers we shared pita chips with hummus and pita along with spanakopitas. For dessert they surprised me with a birthday slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. The space is beautifully decorated with floral aesthetics and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. There's even a real London red phone booth outside the entrance, and we each got a cute red phone booth keychain to take home, which was such a fun touch. For drinks, my friends tried the special martinis while I had the raspberry fizz, which was super refreshing and perfect for welcoming the spring season. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The only tiny con was the music overhead was a bit loud... let's just say at one point our table conversation sounded more like we were at an indoor concert than having lunch. Another small downside was the bathroom situation--there seemed to be only one or two stalls for men and women, so there was a bit of a wait Overall, it was a wonderful birthday spot!

It was very loud- club music going, people talking loud over the music, and screeching children that did not want to be there. Tables are very close togther as well. We ordered the cabbage rolls, chicken kabob, and haddock. The server brought out the wrong dinner- was corrected, Cabbage rolls came and they were warm and tasted well- good with the thin pita bread that was on the table. Salad- nice and fresh and nice homemade dressing. Iceberg lettuce was kind of boring. Chicken kabab was nice and tender and flavorful- a good portion. It came with thin fries and grilled peppers and onion. Overall the food was decent- not sure I would want to come back here anytime soon as there are plenty of other options here in Salem.

I've been seeing ads from Penalty Box Bar & Grill on my newsfeed, advertising their pizza specials…read moresince this summer. The Penalty Box Bar & Grill is located inside of the Salem Icenter. I did stop by the Icenter a couple times back in the summer, but the parking lot looked deserted each time and the Penalty Box was closed inside the rink probably because there were no hockey tournaments/games going on in the summertime. I decided to wait until winter hockey season was in full effect and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon when the parking lot was pretty busy. The Penalty Box was open since there was a hockey game going on. This low key enclosed eatery and seating area has an order counter with kitchen area, which resembles a snack bar counter. There is table seating, high top tables, and soft chair seating in front of a big screen TV. The menu offerings include pizza (whole & slices), subs, rice bowls, burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, chicken wings, fries, churros, cookies. They also have breakfast sandwiches in the morning. They also sell bagged chips, candy bars, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, beer (5 taps, bottles, cans), and hard seltzers. I ordered the Chicken Tender Basket ($16) and Churros ($6). While waiting, I was able to catch some my game on the big TV. My order was ready in about 15 minutes. The chicken tenders were definitely house made, lightly hand breaded and fried golden, 7 tenders (different sizes), tender slightly chewy, white meat chicken. The hand cut fries with skins were deep fried golden with a firm texture, slightly greasy. Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and ketchup packets included. The 4 Churros were very hot and filled with a sweet cream cheese filling, coated with cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar. I will have to try their pizza next time, but I'll try to get here earlier on the weekend for best selection of pizza slices. They still offered pizza deals earlier in the week (Buy One, Get One Half Off) at the time of this posting.
