This drive-through coffee shop is conveniently located right next to the College of Idaho near the end of Franklin. I assume most of the clientele and employees are associated with the College of Idaho based on the demographics. The Human Bean offers an app that gives rewards semi-frequently, and recently I received a BOGO on any drink. I thought that was a really good deal! I love the flavor of their snowy mocha (white chocolate) which you can get hot, iced, or blended. The employees are efficient, the coffee is great quality, and I especially love the deals on the app. We'll keep coming back! read more

Their espresso is extremely weak. I ordered a 20 oz iced latte which has four shots in it and it just tastes like milk. I paid $5 for some milk, that's what it feels like. 4 shots should at least taste like espresso is in there. The color looks weak too. Super bummer. read more

This Human Bean has been my go-to coffee shop for a few years now and typically has excellent customer service. Recently I have had to go dairy-free because my baby is having problems processing dairy. Though the company has began advertising that dairy free options are available, it isn't possible to access information on what flavorings are dairy-free in their app and their baristas do not appear to know either. During my last visit the barista would not answer my questions about whether a flavoring had dairy and just kept saying that she would use an alternative milk. Other locations have offered to check though this barista opted to tell me what she would put in it rather than checking the packaging when she was obviously unaware of the dairy-free options. read more

Coffee was good, had an Irish drink that was different but a good change. The staff were friendly and laughed, seemed like they enjoyed their job and helping my customers. Prices weren't the beat but still better spent money then at star buck. And the drive through was a bit tight for my long bed quad cab. But it's coffee it's simple and easy. Nothing worse than ordering your coffee in the morning, cold snowy morning at that, receiving coffee, tipping, get home and it's not even your dam drink or even close to it.... How hard is it to receive a drink and make it on the spot? I mean look at Dutch Bros HUGE LINE but somehow they manage to get every drink correct and you guys get what 8 cars max but take orders at window and still mess it up? When they first opened they weren't great, than they got better but most the nice employees left... now they arn't great again... coffee isn't too good and they are expensive... Everytime I go there it feels like the employees come first not the customer and they all seem like they don't want to be there... But they have great banana bread! read more

This Human Bean location was the first of their valley locations that I've been to. I am always looking for an alternative to Starbucks. I can tell you that my experience here was far from unpleasant. Polite and respectful barista. I asked for suggestions and the barista didn't disappoint! Ultimately, I left this place happy. Great service and great drinks! I have been to this place all around Treasure Valley and I have never been disappointed. This location is no different! The java chip smoothie is amazing. I very rarely drink coffee but when I do it is at The Human Bean! The baristas don't try to force conversation on you and get all up in your face like Dutch Bros. I use to work here, it was honestly a bad experience. They were rude during training, treated me like I was stupid, told me one thing then would lie to the manager of the store saying they said something else, they talk down on you, etc. They yelled at me for EVERY single mistake I made. If I was BARELY over on a measurement they mad me throw it out & restart. They yelled at me for being "to slow" but constantly would throw my drinks out. Making me feel crappy. It's a terrible business. They wonder why people quit so much & this is why. Overall, I don't wish anyone to work there. read more
