Conveniently, there is a location off of it. Since I have never been in before, I didn't know if it's just a drive thru or if there's actual seating inside the venue. I was on a tight time frame and didn't have the time to check it out. I just opted to go through the drive thru. It was when I was pulling around when I realized you can enjoy your drink inside the joint too. That will be a must do the next time around! I did check out the big drink menu. All sorts of goodies available! But what caught my eyes were all the pumpkin spice options! There was a huge sign with photos of your pumpkin options. Being a visual eater, I was immediately sold on the pumpkin spice chai. It's never too early for pumpkin spice, even if it's 100 degrees outside. So, today I grabbed an iced pumpkin spice chai with almond milk. I was greeted by a handsome smile. He got me all squared away, got my number started for their loyalty program and handed me my drink. My drink looked tasty! I took a sip of that baby and mannnnnnnnn was it good! It tasted like holiday happiness in a cup. It was creamy, sweet and the spices were very noticeable. I love chai but that pumpkin spice added another level of yum to it. The almond milk was thick, it wasn't watered down like some other almond milks I've had. It was perfectly made. The drink is on the sweeter side so if you don't like your drinks that sweet, I would ask for it to be made less sweet. I appreciate sweeter drinks so it was a great first drink from this joint for me. I will have to make sure I stop at Black Rock when I'm around one. They sure did push out a great drink! I normally get iced americanos so this was a nice change. I'll have to try an americano next time but I'm hooked from my drink yesterday. Looking forward to my next pumpkin spice chai from this joint. Especially during the upcoming fall season.

Checking out local coffee joints is always fun for me so I stopped in today for my afternoon caffeinated beverage. The coffee shop is smaller, more intimate. I love the setting of this place. It looks like a log cabin. There's a few tables to sit at, comfy chairs to chill and enjoy your drink. All it's missing a fireplace. I could sit in front of the fireplace, sipping on my coffee for hours. The most perfect way to enjoy your coffee. There was only one barista working and she was hustling! There was a couple drinks that she was making for guests ahead of me. There was also a gentleman waiting to order and someone was also in the drive thru. I didn't mind waiting, it gave me some time to look over the drink menu and goodies that were available. I appreciate that they have a fun Valentines menu out. They also have quite a few speciality drinks. It's fun to step outside of your normal drink once in a while so I grabbed the Lucky Moose today. Since they have a great variety of sugar free syrups, I was able to get my drink sugar free. The Lucky Moose is a vanilla, caramel and Irish cream breve. I was kinda nervous having all these different flavors in one drink but it was worth a shot! My drink was tasty! The flavors all together are a little different but good. I am happy that I got to try it but it's probably something I won't get again. Maybe I'll do one less flavor next time. The breve was creamy. The flavors were noticeable. The espresso was bitter but balanced. It was a great iced breve. This place would be fun to chill at when the weather is nicer. There's tables and chairs outside with a nice awning. Grab a slice of pizza next door and then grab a goody to snack on as a dessert with an iced coffee. Talk about a good afternoon! While waiting for my drink, I noticed all the cool patches from different police departments. Supporting our police departments is so important to me! My husband especially enjoyed the roasting facility tour, which was led by a well-educated coffee enthusiast. She handed out amazing facts, generous tips, and favorite coffees. I usually hit a couple local joints that are right by the salon I work at. Conveniently, Dawson Taylor was right there so I took it as a sign to head in. This coffee joint is so cool. Walked in and instantly noticed how pretty the shop is. I was greeted right away. I told the gentleman that greeted me that I was going to use the ladies room real quick. I will have to say, the bathroom is so dope. I love all the quotes that were written on the walls. You don't realize how long you're actually in the bathroom when you're reading all the tiles. After reading a handful of tiles, I finally made my way out. I got my usual coffee when I try a new joint out. Gives every shop an even playing field. So I got myself an iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I had asked the barista for cream to be poured in the back by him. I had told him about my new kidney when I ordered and that I can't really use communal things. He proceeded to tell me the cream was at the table. I really didn't want to use it but I did. I poured a little of it out before I added the cream to my drink. I also used a napkin to hold the handle. I try not to be a germaphobe but it's hard not to be when your immune system is non existent. I made my way outside to sit under the sun and absorb the afternoon energy. I did add couple packets of my sweetner to my drink to sweetnen it a tad. I like my drinks on the sweeter side. Wow, this drink is absolute perfection. You can taste the espresso. It was very present and bitter. It wasn't watered down and light. I appreciate how bold the espresso is. The cream added a nice richness to the drink.
