So we have been curious about this place and finally decided to go today. This place boasts "THE BEST Chicken and Waffles in Ohio" spoiler: not even remotely. So when you fry chicken, especially boneless cuts like tenders. You need to MARINATE the chicken, not let it sit in plain water. This chicken is for caucasians that hate flavor, the chicken meat itself was never marinated or spiced before being coated. It was wet but the taste was of water. Not from chicken juices and seasonings. The breading was salt and pepper and possibly garlic. It was all so bland that it didn't taste like anything. The chicken had 0 flavor and the breading was almost the same. The waffles were soggy from the incredibly watery maple syrup. I made the mistake of getting Nashville hot and the coating overpowered everything else on the plate, I couldn't taste anything else outside of that. The chicken being incredibly bland doesn't help. We also got the pretzel sticks, which were fried hard. They were covered in oil, they weren't bad but I'd pass on them a next time. The cheese sauce had a good taste but it was very watered down. Notice everything being watery is a theme. The milkshake was ok, it wasn't worth the price. It tasted more like a weak malt flavor instead of chocolate. All in all this is some of the worst chicken I've had in awhile. When you make KFC look good you have issues. We probably won't be back, not when Caines, Dave's, Bojangles, slim chickens exist. The resurant was generic looking, it's going for that edgy bar look. It was clean but unoriginal. Service was fine. Went here for brunch carryout. Buttermilk Pancakes, Lemon Blueberry Compote, Caramel, Whipped Cream, Powder Sugar, & Maple Syrup. I understand it's hard to transport some of these things via carryout. There was no caramel, whipped cream, maple syrup, or powdered sugar on this. Otherwise the blueberry compote was good and it's a huge portion of pancakes. Hot honey breakfast sandwich. Again huge portion on a sweet bun. Nashville style is no joke extreme spice. Nice side of hot honey. Loaded tot quesadilla. Well, wouldn't get this again. Doesn't have much chicken. There was no cheese sauce that said came with it. It's pretty dry with no sauce on it. Overall, if you're going to order carryout, you should probably check to see if the sauces are there before leaving. Some items are good, but you really need everything to be included. read more

Get a new manager!! She was totally rude and unprofessional....and dresses like she just walked off the softball field. I wld hope Nael reaches out to hear the real story abt what happened during our evening becuz we've got abt 25 ppl (and 2 bystanders at the bar) who know the real story. Adrian is a liar and has no business in the position she is in. We are business owners as well and there is NO WAY we wld have someone w her unprofessionalism, lack of respect and integrity as one of the faces of our company. Unfortunately, Howlin' Bird missed out on abt $500 ( if not more) worth of business tonight and pretty certain all 25 ppl in our grp will never return....not to mention the negative reviews that will follow. We ordered takeout from here on their second day open. My boys who are hesitant about anything new, were super excited about the box we brought home. We ordered a small flock, 12 HUGE chicken tenders, 4 sides and 3 sauces. Yall get the Hot Honey dipping sauce, it's amazing. read more

I would heartily recommend this restaurant in Massillon. Each chicken tender is the size of a chicken breast! We ordered the small flock. It was enough to feed the four of us (2 large appetites included0. We had 12 chicken tenders, 4 sides and sauce. The price without drinks averaged out to about $10 a person. We left there stuffed! Excellent very cheesy macaroni and cheese, creamy cole slaw with a tinge of vinegar I think, and bacon cheese brussel sprouts which were very good. Don't let the prices fool you when you walk in the door and look at the board. Definitely a place to share the bill and very economical per person. read more
