We ordered the goat cheese balls as an appetizer and they did not disappoint! We ended up splitting the pimento Mac and cheese with pulled pork on top. Omg delicious! We ordered one pulled pork sandwich and one brisket sandwich with sides of their parsley potatoes, mac-and-cheese, green beans and cole slaw. The brisket was very dry and chewy, so much so that I had to drown it in sauce in order to make it palatable (their hot sauce is pretty good). The pulled pork was kind of bland and neither sandwich had that smoky barbecue flavor we had hoped for. Side portions were served in shallow cups and were a bit stingy for $3.00 each. The parsley potatoes were very bland and in small cubes, almost like hash browns. Green beans were soggy and like canned beans--no bacon, no buttery flavor or seasonings. Mac-and-cheese was okay, even as the server scraped the bottom of the stainless tray to get what obviously was not fresh--in fact, all of the food we got seemed to be the late afternoon, bottom-of-the-tray food...and it was 4:30 in the afternoon, early dinner time. The cole slaw was pretty good and definitely a nice surprise after so much of the rest of the food was so blah. It really hurts to write a negative review of a local business because my wife and I like to support them instead of going to big chain stores and restaurants. We have been trying foods from local businesses as potential caterers for our son's upcoming party, but we regret this will be one place we can't recommend to him.

The wings were a great eat, juicy, well-coated in sauce, and packed with flavor. I loved the variety of sauces available, though I do wish they let you split flavors to try more than one in a single order. My husband went with a burger, the kids each had their own, and a friend tried the kimchi nachos. Every plate had a ton of flavor and was generously portioned. The brisket on the nachos was especially impressive, tender, melt-in-your-mouth, and worth coming back for. Overall, the food exceeded our expectations for what started as just a drink stop. Solid 4 stars, great flavors, great portions, and a fun spot to grab a bite with friends or family. To be honest, food was way better than the beer, we gave that 2 stars

I ordered the fish & grits, and every single bite delivered. The grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, the toast and eggs were spot-on, and the potatoes were cooked just right -- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. It honestly brought a tear to my eye and transported me straight back to breakfast at my grandma's table. But that crispy fish? That was the star of the show, baby!! Golden, perfectly seasoned, fried to perfection -- the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it. Everything on my plate was delicious, and the service was just as impressive -- warm, welcoming, and attentive without missing a beat. You can taste the love in the food and feel the hospitality in the room. If you're in Akron, do yourself a favor: Go. Go. Go. Support this restaurant! Your taste buds will thank you -- and you'll probably be planning your next visit before you even leave the parking lot.

Our waiter was very pleasant and consistently checked in on us. It took a while for our order to come out, but as we were waiting, we noticed an abundant amount of people ordering out, which was a total green flag when we finally received our food. we noticed that we didn't get the collard greens with our shrimp and grits like the menu said and we also did not get our sweet potato cakes instead we got the grits with shrimp and peppers and we got biscuit French toast. Everything was delicious, but it would have been nice to know that we would be getting substitutes overall the experience was really great and just a few things that they could easily fix to make their business thrive I really hope that they move to a bigger building because the food at the friendly service are bringing in returning customers

We ate it. But way too much glaze. There was a puddle of glaze when we finished the dish. Too much! Ordered the spicy avocado chicken wrap. 3 issues. So we have been curious about this place and finally decided to go today…read more This place boasts "THE BEST Chicken and Waffles in Ohio" spoiler: not even remotely. So when you fry chicken, especially boneless cuts like tenders. You need to MARINATE the chicken, not let it sit in plain water. This chicken is for caucasians that hate flavor, the chicken meat itself was never marinated or spiced before being coated. It was wet but the taste was of water. Not from chicken juices and seasonings. The breading was salt and pepper and possibly garlic. It was all so bland that it didn't taste like anything. The chicken had 0 flavor and the breading was almost the same. The waffles were soggy from the incredibly watery maple syrup. I made the mistake of getting Nashville hot and the coating overpowered everything else on the plate, I couldn't taste anything else outside of that. The chicken being incredibly bland doesn't help. We also got the pretzel sticks, which were fried hard. They were covered in oil, they weren't bad but I'd pass on them a next time. The cheese sauce had a good taste but it was very watered down. Notice everything being watery is a theme. The milkshake was ok, it wasn't worth the price. It tasted more like a weak malt flavor instead of chocolate. All in all this is some of the worst chicken I've had in awhile. When you make KFC look good you have issues. We probably won't be back, not when Caines, Dave's, Bojangles, slim chickens exist. The resurant was generic looking, it's going for that edgy bar look. It was clean but unoriginal. Service was fine. No picture, I threw half of mine away and tossed the milkshake in the trash and went to Panera for a Mango smoothie.
