We sat at the bar counter and the service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. We went on a Monday morning, and the place was pretty busy - we didn't have to wait for a table or anything, but 85% of the tables were definitely taken. You can see the kitchen from the bar, and there is a small "take out" window where they run a Drive-Tru from. Such a great idea, and it seemed like a very smooth operation! As you enter the Blue Door Cafe, immediately to your left is a small Bakery Service counter, with a beautiful display case. It smells so good in there! The menu was very unique, but packed with lots of delicious options, and we were told that the menu changes frequently, based on seasonal availability of locally sourced ingredients. I'm not so good with words, but let me say this: Everything was incredible! Fresh, made-to-order, and delicious! I will let the pictures do the talking

I got the biscuits and gravy, and my mom got the avocado toast. The biscuits and gravy plate is HUGE. Two amazing biscuits, tasty gravy, although it had a little too much sweetness for my preference. And I can't remember if I ordered the eggs, or if it came with it. The potatoes were fine, nothing extremely special. I'm not local, but whenever I come in town my family LOVES to bring me here. I'd like to come try the dinner menu before giving them 5 stars. But I'm definitely a fan, and will be happy to go back anytime I'm in town:) Thanks for having me! See ya next time.

I'd been here once before, but this time I returned with a friend. I ordered the Hen Solo--just a biscuit and a piece of chicken--and honestly, if you've ever had a certain famous fast-food chicken biscuit, this is the elevated, hand-fried, house-made version. The chicken was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the biscuit? Flaky, buttery, and clearly fresh. You can tell by the layers alone. One of my favorite touches was the butter bar--whipped butter, honey butter, maple butter, plus jellies ranging from classic to bold (including habanero and even ghost chili!). Such a fun and thoughtful detail. My friend ordered the Silence of the Hams, a playful take on eggs and ham: a fresh flaky biscuit, fried egg, two generous pieces of grilled ham, and melted cheese dripping beautifully over the sides. Comfort food done right. For dessert (because how could we not?), we shared their famous Vicious Beignets--stuffed with cinnamon-cream cheese filled, layered in a bowl with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries. Absolutely indulgent and worth every bite. The restaurant was clean and busy, yet ordering was easy. Miriam at the counter was incredibly helpful and explained that the yellow items on the menu board highlight fan favorites--such a smart idea. She was also happy to customize anything we wanted. A side note I appreciated: on my previous visit, I noticed they offer a full gluten-free menu, which my husband (who is gluten-free) enjoyed tremendously. On our way out, I chatted with Jonas, Director of Operations. He was genuinely excited about our experience and even gave me his card for future questions. He also let a little secret slip--Medina is getting a Vicious Biscuits soon! For those making the drive to Fairlawn or Akron now, it looks like you'll have one closer to home before long... though I may still make the drive just to visit again. Highly recommend. Warm food, welcoming staff, and comfort done exceptionally well.

Service was friendly and the other couple seated near us were regulars and said they've never had a bad meal there. We ended up deciding to try the western omelet and a pancake with added blueberries and a biscuit on the side. After we ordered, the owner came and talked to us and said that they are famous for their eggs Benedicts and hollandaise sauce... If I'd have known that before ordering I would have tried one of those. He did bring us a little hollandaise to sample though and it was amazing! He also brought over a piece of baklava for my husband and I to try and we agreed it was the best we have ever had! Delicious and flaky and not too heavy...the owner said they make it without honey. My husband really enjoyed his omelet (it did look super fluffy and delicious) and my pancake and biscuit were good as well. They only brought out syrup packets though; I wish they had a syrup pitcher/jug but that's just personal preference. They also charged for the tap waters we ordered so that was definitely strange. Food was solid though and everyone inside was nice. I would go back and try an eggs Benedict and get some more baklava for sure! Thank you, Enchanted Cafe, for a nice Saturday morning breakfast.

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.

White walls, glass windows in front, a few things hung on the walls. Not fancy, but pleasant. Very clean. The food is phenomenal. I've been dreaming about their biscuits and gravy since my last visit. Still perfect. The home fry-style potatoes are what a lot of places try to serve but fail at miserably. They are crispy AND fluffy! Yum! My scrambled eggs were not at all greasy or oily. My iced tea was delicious and refreshing. My lovely wife had the chorizo hash, which I tried. Oh, my. So good. And the chipotle crema on top was just perfect. They have excellent diner coffee here as well. My service experience was immaculate the first time and just OK today. He was fine initially, but I feel like he kind of forgot about us after he checked on our food. We were stuck way in the back. Maybe he was on a break, which is fine. I spent time as a waiter in two different restaurants, so I'm sympathetic, but I did not get a drink refill, and I wanted one pretty badly. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and it feels like a hidden gem.
