The colors were also nice and had many different hues. You grab colors on a plate and they have different sized paint brushes. I did wish the brushes were more precise. The instructor was very clear, and had a great touch with the kids, giving them the tips and help they needed to get great results, while still having them do everything. We each were given a pedal-controlled wheel, basic tools, and three balls of clay. We got to make three pieces each and then chose two each to be fired later. We also chose glaze colors from a small set. They had us cleaning up our wheels and tools, which was a bit of work but not too much, and my child found it satisfying to clean her wheel anyway. All around great introduction to pottery throwing that we both really enjoyed. We're looking forward to getting our pieces in a few weeks.

Elena was our instructor & she was extremely knowledgeable, patient, understanding of our levels. Gave everyone equal attention (group of 4). Clear demo of how to mold from clay ball & clay plate. The first 20-30min was the demo & we wish that it could've been interactive 'follow along' exercise. Great way to get your hands working & molding. No time limit and I like the tray they give. Easy to turn and paint. I also like the squeeze paint bottles that's helpful when doing fine lines. There are plenty of supplies: consisting of sponges, brushes, water cups, pencils and erasers. I brought my friend here for her birthday and we just spent 3 hours painting, listening to music and chatting. We visited on a Sunday and it was quiet/peaceful, not too crowded. Definitely will visit this place again in the future to paint more pottery.

I honestly cannot believe I had never heard of this place before, especially living here in Fremont. The studio is adorable, clean, and very well set up for kids' activities and parties. They offer a lot of fun options, and for our party we chose pottery and slime, which was a huge hit. The full 3 hours went incredibly smoothly. We had a private room for the kids to do their activities, enjoy pizza, and have cake, and everything felt easy and well organized from start to finish. The setup was pretty great to accommodate our group size very easily. We got instructions about the steps to make our bowl and a demo, but I along with others definitely found it hard to keep up. We needed a lot of individual help. I wish there was an assistant who could walk around and help us too. The studio glazed and painted the bowls to a color we liked. They looked great! I only wish we were able to be more hands on in the process and perhaps make two items as the process is quite hard if you're new and it would have been fun to take another stab at it.

Initially I was very excited to take a 4 week pottery class because it was a hobby I have been…read morethinking about trying for a long time but my experience here has honestly dampened my interest in pursuing pottery further I'm unsure if it's typical protocol but essentially the instructor would do one tutorial and then let the class figure it out from there. He would then focus on his own pieces instead of checking on how to students were doing. The classes rarely started on time because the instructor would be eating their late lunch and would consistently forget what he taught us the previous week. Because there was poor time management, we would be working on pieces and then 15 minutes before the class would end, we would be told we have to start cleaning up so everyone would rush to finish what they were doing Because there was barely any hands on instruction, I was constantly watching online videos from other pottery instructors before class to teach myself the tips I was missing from my own instructor The studio also lacked a proper storage system, so every single week we came in, our pieces were in a different place which made it extremely difficult to find our work -- I lost a few pieces because of this The overall experience has been so disappointing and a waste of time and money - if you are serious about making pottery a hobby, I would suggest looking for a different pottery studio

Took two classes here and had very different experiences…read more The first class I went to was a resin workshop with Punky Power Productions and it was fun, engaging, and interactive. The instructor was very fun and really willing to help out and inspire. 5 stars. The second workshop i took, just this Sunday, was not great at all. It was a mosaic class and it might as well have been self led. The instructor gave us a brief 3-5 min tutorial on how to place the tiles and then did nothing else except sorted tiles the whole time. She never came around to see how we were doing or if we needed help. We had to keep asking her to come over if we had a question and she didn't really offer too much. She never told us what color we could use, and kept coming over and collecting the extra tiles as we were working. She didn't help us finish up and left before we were done. It was super disappointing.
