It was my first time making jewelry and I'm glad that I did it at Ing Art Studio! It was a thoughtful gift from my bf where he scheduled a ring making class for the both of us. Parking was really easy since it's in a more industrial part of Fremont. Unfortunately, we were running a little late, but the instructors were kind enough to wait for us! They provide aprons, but it's not really messy! The studio itself is really clean and cutely decorated with the jewelry that they also sell! The bathroom is also very neat and tidy! The ring making experience starts with the instructors giving you a breakdown of the steps you'll be doing to shape and design the ring. It was honestly a lot to absorb but fortunately, the instructors come around to guide you in the right direction. Our class was fully packed so there would be times that we had to wait for help, but it was a great balance of independency and being supervised! The process takes a while, but I appreciate that the instructors never rush you along the way, even if you're lagging behind everyone else. We opted to do the silver ring option and they had an assortment of ways to customize them! They had many stamps, dyes, and different ways to shape the rings. In total, our two rings came out to about $300, though I believe it depends on the amount of material that you use. Overall, this was such a fun experience, especially since our instructors were super helpful and patient, so I can't wait to go back! My bf and I made rings that definitely look like a beginner made them LOL, so we want to give it another shot!
This was such a fun experience! I bought these sessions as a Christmas gift, and we were so excited to learn how to make our own rings, custom and all. The instructors were really helpful every step of the way, and even if there were some hiccups, they were so patient and friendly (not to mentioned decked out in ridiculously cool jewelry themselves). I'll definitely book a silver clay session for another gift, because I want to try to redeem myself for the slightly messed up ring I made (lol).
Hands down, ring making at Ing was one of the memorable and fun date activity ever. It's incredibly fun and special to create your own rings. The rings turned out so well that we left the class with our future wedding rings! SILVER CLAY JEWERLY MAKING CLASS with ARIA ARIA is the best!!! She's super sweet and is a wonderful, kind teacher with great attention for detail. You can't fail with Aria - she definitely made sure that our creative vision came alive in every step. We're truly grateful that she went above and beyond for us to make sure that our rings turned out beautiful, like spending extra time polishing them for that extra SHINE! She also took super sweet pictures of us throughout the process and even gave our rings a photoshoot for the final results (as seen in the photos attached!). Tips: - Free easy parking - Easy reservation on their website - They have plenty of mini crystals you can embed to the silver and are only a few dollars a piece - Silver clay class is small and intimate around 4 ppl. At the time it was just us so it was basically a private lesson
I found this studio on TikTok over a year ago and finally had a good occasion to come celebrate my anniversary with my partner yesterday! It was such a cute little studio and easy parking. Will and Jeremias were amazing and super attentive and helpful every step of the way. They had a wealth of knowledge and were very positive when checking in on us and our progress - breaking down every step and helping us reach our goal jewelry! They also took pictures and sent us a Google drive of them - such a great experience! Thank you for helping us make memories for our anniversary
Really cool experience to go to this studio and get walked through the whole ring making process! Good: - The staff were super patient and helpful - We did the silver ring making class and did the elegant class - we had 4 other people in our class but still got lots of individual instruction! - The rings turned out great - it was also fun to learn the whole process start to end, we've done another class in Japan and this one was much more comphrehensive - The space is beautiful! It's super cute and clean and well organized, with diagrams explaining each part of the process Bad: - It's expensive, but it's worth it! Overall the cute aesthetic and the nice staff make us want to come back if we wanted another ring!

This was a super fun experience. The class was amazing and they walk you through every step of making what you selected. My friend and I have never made jewelry so had no idea what to expect. We loved each step and how creative you can be. Highly recommend checking out a class if you are interested in a new, fun experience where you come away with a wearable, lovely piece of jewelry!
I had a great experience! My partner and I decided to take the silver ring making class and it was fun to make the rings. Skylar is a great instructor! The steps were very clear, they were very helpful! It was great to know that Skylar is very hands on and makes sure you like your ring before you leave. She also makes sure that the rings are perfectly sanded/polished before you leave. I think the only downside would be sharing the space with multiple pairs. There was someone who kept hammering his ring, I felt like he could've been transparent so we could all wear ear plugs. Besides that, it was a good experience and I would recommend taking this class with Skylar.
We took the "Silver Clay Jewelry Making Class" and had such an amazing time! It's super beginner-friendly, but also hands-off enough that you really feel like the artist behind your own piece. Aria was a fantastic instructor, and even better photographer (you'll get some beautiful shots of your work!). I chose to make a simple twisted band. The instructions felt a little overwhelming at first, but Aria guided us every step of the way. The whole experience took about four hours, but I'd recommend leaving a little wiggle room in your schedule just in case it runs longer. The pace depends on how quickly you and the others in the class work, so it can vary a bit. Huge thanks to Ing Studio and Aria for such a memorable day and beautiful rings! I'm already thinking about coming back for their 925 Silver Jewelry Making Class.
Learning from true metal smiths! What a neat activity with friendly staff to guide you through every step of the way! even fixing my mistake(s) (oops sorry!) with patience and encouragement! Hardest part is just DECIDING what I wanted my ring to look like because thankfully they carefully guided me through everything after that Make the ring of your dreams. They'll tell you if what you have in mind is possible or there could be limitations if it's too complex or just not doable based on sizing. Book online and pay a deposit in advance, which is credited to your total bill after the event You get your own station and lots of tools to use. I like that you Don't need to share tools so there's no wait for them. Just go at your pace and let someone know after you finish each step Finding the stamps took a while due to not being familiar with sizing and how the boxes were organized Takes about 4 hours to finish So thoughtful that they took pictures throughout and after the event FOR you with their camera! The seats felt small and not super comfortable for some people. It would be better if there were chairs that were a bit more spacious

They had a bunch of example rings, but we also came in with a bunch of inspiration photos and were told what was feasible with the materials. My friend and I went for really different style rings, but the instructors really helped everyone customize their rings to their particular vision. Everyone was so helpful and nice, and you can work at your own pace-- I never felt rushed at all. We ended up taking around 3.5 hours on our rings. We also received photos of us working on the rings, us with the rings at the end, and a mini photoshoot of the ring by itself very soon after the class. I have nothing but good things to say about this class and will be recommending this experience to all my friends. Would also love to see this art studio offer longer term classes in the future to dive deeper into how to make jewelry, but for now I will enjoy these single day workshops :)
There is no amount of words I can use to describe this experience. You'll just have to experience it yourself! BUT here is what I will say: 1000% do it. DO IT! It's so much fun! Most of the people go with friends or as a couple but you know what? None of my friends wanted to join so I went solo and I STILL had a blast! Oftentimes, it is the people around you that make your experience amazing but here, it was the actual craft itself that created an unforgettable occasion. My biggest fear was that I would not have anyone to "cheat" off of if I got confused but in actuality, the instructors walk around and are available at any moment (and you will need to get their attention constantly as you progress). They are extremely kind and helpful, even if you are confused. I am not super crafty BUT even I was able to make something semi-decent and that's saying something! When you first go in, they will check you in and then show you a bunch of example rings. You will have the opportunity to take a look at them and see which one you would like to replicate and since this is completely customizable, if you enjoy an element of one ring and another element of another guess what? You can combine them! You can ask the instructor if it was possible and then they'll also tell you the difficulty level of the rings. During the activity, they will be taking photos of you/your friends. At first I thought it was for their socials but at the end of the day, they sent it to me in a lovely little email! I was so surprised to get them and honestly, the photos were wonderful! I was hoping to record my time at the workshop but was completely engrossed in what I was doing I didn't have any time (nor did I have any friends to do it for me) Price: $120 base price but I paid $143 (probably from tax or something). Duration: it takes at LEAST 3 hours and I was one of the first to be done so I would recommend allotting 3.5-4 hours

This place is a must do if you are already thinking about it! Our team made reservations for a weekday team building event and requested we were the only ones there. Ok might not be the greatest team building activity because you are all working on your own project and so focused there isn't too much talking. But it was fun and a great experience to make something beautiful. They are so friendly and patient. The process is long so make sure you have the time. It's amazing how professional these pieces look and I wear mine everyday!! I found a ring I loved and made an almost exact copy of it! Great date activity! read more

What a delightful experience! Perfect activity solo, for dates, and even with friends. The hosts provide a clean, organized, and creative space with all the tools and materials you need. First, I'd like to thank the hosts for such a unique and fun experience. The moment you step inside you'll notice a creative atmosphere filled with art. The hosts are knowledgeable and passionate about jewelry and will help you every step of the way. I didn't feel rushed at all while working on my jewelry, and they always check to make sure you're doing ok. Instructions were very easy to understand and well presented. At the end, they provided packaging and care instructions for your jewelry. The prices are beyond reasonable. Boutique quality materials but under boutique prices, and more unique since you're making your own. A definite must try again and again! read more

Went here early this year for a nice little cousin date and had the best time! I was a little intimidated by the whole ring making process in general, but after picking out my materials and deciding on how I wanted to design my ring, the whole process was fairly simple and really really fun! The instructors were amazing. Super thorough when explaining the process, and attentive when we had questions. They checked on everyone periodically and inspected our work throughout, to make sure we were shaping and creating our rings appropriately. It was really nice of them to take photos of us throughout the whole class as well. They got us at various stages of the ring making process and shared the photos with us afterward. So fun! Will be looking into taking another class with them again! read more

We picked 925 Sliver class with Skylar and she was the best. Skylar was so great with detail explanation and step-by-step guilding us thru the process. Making sure we satisfied with the product before moving on with the next step. read more

My fiance and I made our wedding bands here and it was the best decision ever! The instructors are very helpful and attentive. They really cared about getting our rings to look as best as they could, even letting us stay late to finish them up. I'm not sure if they do it every class, but they even take pictures throughout the process and shared them with us! Our wedding bands feel so much more sentimental since we hand crafted them ourselves. 100% recommend! read more

We took the silver ring class for an anniversary date and had such an amazing time! Skylar and Will were both so passionate and helpful through the entire process and really made it fun. Even as beginners they made the process feel smooth and easy. We had so many options to customize our rings and were able to walk away with one of a kind, beautiful pieces. 10,000,000+/10 - I can't recommend this jewelry-making workshop enough, whether you're with friends, family, or a significant other! My boyfriend and I visited to celebrate our 5-year anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. From customizing our rings to the fitting process, adding textures, choosing stamps, and getting hands-on with tools like drilling, hammering, and melting, it was much easier than I anticipated--thanks to the incredible owners who took the time to guide us, answer all our questions, and share their expertise. Their attention to detail and skill made all the difference. They even took professional photos during the workshop and sent them to us via email to help us remember the day--talk about top-notch customer service! I'm beyond thrilled with my ring. It turned out even better than I imagined, and I'm especially happy they had chrome heart crosses, which was exactly what I was hoping for. Can't wait to come back! read more

My partner and I signed up for the ring making workshop with Skylar on a Sunday morning. The session lasted from about 10am to 1pm for us, though it does depend on the style that you choose since some are more complicated than others. We both had an amazing time and would 100% recommend trying this workshop! Skylar was super kind and patient when explaining each step of the process. Even though it was a full class (8 seats in total), she was able to check in on and provide guidance to each of us. In addition to the rings we created, we were also given an album of photographs taken by Will during the workshop. The photos are beautiful and such a nice memento! An overview of the ring-making process: 1. Choose your ring design and size There are plenty of samples provided for reference 2. Shape your ring For us, this involved a lot of twisting 3. Heat & pickle Blowtorch, soldering, and time in the "pickle" jar 4. Size the ring Hammer into a circle and saw off the excess 5. Seal it up More soldering to close the gap 6. File & polish File to smooth the seam and polish it up nice & shiny 7. Final photos before taking the rings home! read more

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time at -ing. art studio making our own rings! It was such a unique and memorable experience that we'll cherish forever. From start to finish, the studio was welcoming, creative, and full of positive energy. A huge shoutout to Skylar, our instructor, who was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the entire process. She made sure we felt confident every step of the way, even though we were complete beginners. Her guidance truly made the experience so much fun and stress-free! We also have to thank Will for capturing such beautiful photos of us during the session and assistance in ring process as well. His talent behind the camera really highlighted the joy and love we felt while creating something special together. The photos are such a wonderful keepsake from the day. My girlfriend says thanks for "mansplaining" (I didn't do well in my explanation to her either LOL). This was the most special way to celebrate my partner and I's 3rd anniversary. In so many kdramas and k-reality shows, I've seen couples make custom rings together and had always wanted to do it. When my boyfriend told me he had booked us a ring making class, I was so excited! We chose the 925 Silver Jewelry Making Class, and decided to make matching rings. We did a two-twist style and the process took us about three hours. Will and Jeremias were attentive, friendly, and patient. Jeremias, a metalworker, guided us through every step and helped ease our nerves. He was wearing some of the rings he had made himself and they were beautiful, so I knew we were in great hands. Will, a co-owner of Ing Studio, also assisted us and was taking pictures of us while we were at work. We even had a mini photoshoot with our finished rings, and emailed us the photos later that night. The studio was clean, and the class size was small, so the experience still felt personal and intimate. My partner and I had a wonderful time, and we love our rings so much!!! read more

Absolutely loved my experience here! I booked the 925 Silver Jewelry making class with Skylar and Jeremías for us to make matching rings. After checking in, you start by looking at ring samples to come up with your design. Then they briefly go over safety and the steps of the ring-making process. The instructors were attentive throughout the whole process and so helpful in making your vision come true. At the end, they took photos of our rings and of us in their cute studio, capturing the memorable experience! Great vibes, unique activity, 100/10 would go again!! read more

I came here with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day week to make couple rings as our date night activity. When we arrived, we checked in and signed the safety waiver. Then we got to choose the style and design we wanted to make for the rings. They have samples of all the different styles, as well as samples to try on for sizing. There's also a lot of different stamps that you can choose from if you wanted to had a cute stamp or lettering on your ring. Note, the longer stamp designs, like waves, are much harder to stamp on the metal than the more common and smaller stamps (like letters, zodiacs, suns/moons). I made my bf's ring and he made mine, and I asked my bf to choose a different ring design since I'm too weak to hammer the long stamp designs nicely for the ring style he originally wanted. Haha. After we chose what we wanted, we were able to practice stamping before doing it on the ring itself. Then we learned how to form the ring, cut and solder, shape, and polish. My bf and I really enjoyed our experience. I struggled more with it than my boyfriend did because of the designs we chose. But the staff was very friendly and helpful! Instructions were clear and they went around to everyone to individually advise them how to create their ring designs and the best way to handle the tools effectively and safely. They both help make sure our rings looked good before we left the studio. I appreciated that even if we went over the time alloted on our class reservation, they didn't rush us to finish but allowed us to be there longer and helped to make sure we were happy with our finished product. If you don't take photos because you're too focused making the perfect ring, no worries! They take photos of the process and finished rings during the session. If you are interested in learning to make rings, I would definitely recommend this place and it's worth the experience. I would do it again. :) Thank you! read more

Absolutely loved this workshop! Will and Skylar were so helpful, while still allowing us to do a big chunk of the work. It's so rewarding to be able to walkout with something that our hands made! We loved how lowkey everything was, and did not feel pressured to finish quickly. We were there from 9:45-2:20ish. What a cool experience for such a value price! The instructors patiently guide you on how to make the rings AND they give you a photoshoot? Can't ask for more. There is a good amount of waiting because it's a small class of 8, but so would definitely come back here. I would also recommend to come early so you have extra time to choose your design (especially if you're indecisive like me ) read more

With lots of Skylar's help, I was able to make 3 rings for my friends n 1 for myself! Skylar is a wonderful and patient instructor. Trying new things makes me feel uncomfortable, but Skylar and Will never stopped reassuring me that I can do it. They are so dedicated to their shop, that they missed their lunch the day I came in. With no break, they took on the second class of the day. I hope u both got some yummy food after and lots of rest. Thank you for your hard work and commitment to your patrons. My wife and I had an amazing experience making our own rings. The instructor, Skylar, was extremely informative and very helpful. We learned a lot about making our own jewelry and were able to make designs that we really loved. What a great experience! So much fun and I want to go back! For you creative people, ing art studio is for you. This was not some tacky, trinket, diy jewelry class. I believe that I was given instruction, the tools and supplies to create a lovely and wearable piece of jewelry. Skylar supported us through each step. She was patient and allowed each student to use the tools (drummers, pliers, soldering, torch and etc.) to create our pieces. Her assistant took photos throughout our session and then staged our creations in the little photo shoot at the end. I strongly recommend ing art studio! read more

Aria was literally the most amazing instructor ever and I absolutely recommend coming here if you are looking for the most wonderful, unique, well thought out, experience in the bay. I went to a silver clay making workshop with my partner for our anniversary who isn't the most into artsy stuff but he had a blast! We were first welcomed into the studio with a display of the materials and molds we could use as well as examples of silver clay rings. Aria was so patient and walked us through everything we needed and even took photos of us throughout the class that she sent via email afterwards :') Even if you know absolutely nothing about making rings or using clay, Aria makes sure to address any questions you have or help you throughout the whole process, and is very encouraging! This has been one of the most unique experiences I've had. We did the silver ring jewelry class, and each second was super enjoyable. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled. Everyone was super helpful, and we were able to make rings that look store bought! They also take complimentary photos throughout your session, which also made it memorable. Overview: Ing art studio is the best place to come for an interactive and memorable DIY experience! The staff, Will and Skylar, are super friendly and take you through every step of the ring making process. Skylar, who has a Master's in jewelry design, will teach you everything you need to know in order to make your very own ring! Will is also wonderful at guiding you through the process and is always taking complementary pictures/videos which he will edit and send to you for you to remember your visit! All in all, this experience was 10/10 and I would definitely come back again!!! Pricing: Compared to other workshops in the Bay Area, ing studio is the most affordable!!
