Recently used this community center for my cousins baby shower. It took 2 hours to completely turn this place around. I had 10 people set up tables and chairs, decorate it, and have everything ready. When you go in, nothing is done for you. And when you finish, you must spot mop, and empty all the garbage cans and throw trash in the dumpster(don't need to clean the restrooms). This place is okay, just needs a lot of decor. Also, bring in a scented spray because it has a weird smell(hence only 3 star). FYI: Some lake goers will try to come in and use the restrooms. I was pretty blunt and told them the community center was rented and it isn't open for the public.

Celebrated my son's first birthday party here. Everyone was impressed by the lake view and location. Kids enjoyed playing outside, doing bubbles..etc Availability of tables and chairs makes it further more convenient. Kitchen was also useful to store extras, fridge for the cake. Overall it's definitely worth the price. You are free to spend as much as you wish to, for decorating the hall as it is a clean slate.

There are 2 Age-Well Centers in Fremont. This location, which is the original goodie and oldie and…read morethe newer sister location in South Fremont, near Warm Springs Road. I am often at this location and really like what it offers the community. Fremont is a wonderful city that tries hard to take care of its elderly residents. The center runs a top notch meal service out of the Lakeside Café that serves hot meals (dine-in) and boxed lunches (takeaway) 5 days a week. Reservations is a must and on a 1st come 1st served basis (you should call by noon on Friday to order the meal ticket for the following week). The center also offers loads of free classes/programs for seniors including field trips, tai-chi classes, dance lessons, free haircuts, public transit trainings. There are fee-based classes as well so be sure to pick up the monthly Age-Well Center newsletter available @ the center and online to check out the schedules.

The Lake Elizabeth Age Well Center in Fremont is a fun place for seniors, classes, meals, and…read moreactivities. Worth it for members. Parking can be a hassle since everyone likes being at Lake Elizabeth and cars do constantly come in and out. Finding parking nearby may take more time and patience here. The lobby area was actually much smaller than expected and the layout might feel tight and narrow in some spots, but the large dining room area is not bad at all. Members get a discounted price for meals. Affordable and good meals. Dining area is open to the public too. You see more Chinese and East Asian Indian folks here. I enjoy looking at the community announcements board in lobby. Tai chi, yoga, dance, arts & crafts, Chinese language, etc. Rooms can be reserved for public or private events. Age Well Center certainly moves in a positive direction with life enrichment activities for all. I feel like more people should know about these places and participate in the communities. It's a blessing to have in every city, especially during holidays and gatherings.

Los Altos Community Center…read more 97 Hillview Ave New Los Altos Community Center is officially completed as of June 30, 2021. Hooray! You know that brand-new-anything kind of feeling? It feels exactly like that.. exciting to have something new on this beautiful multi-acre site. See my review of the old Hillview Community Center from 7/14/2016 FTR. It was constructed as an elementary school back in the 40s, and served as a community center from 1975 till 2017 when the city approved new project. This old site was completely re-designed and old buildings demolished. New Los Altos Community Center building is now located at the North end of the old Hillview community center site. This project has been under works for some time. They demolished the site in September of 2019. Noll & Tam Architects lead the design and layout. Construction work performed by Gonzalves & Stronck Construction. Of course COVID-19 left it's mark on the duration of this project, due to lockdowns and suspensions for confirmed cases, so completion dates had to be extended. Pathwalks and crosswalks were also redesigned to connect new buildings with recreational facilities, the Los Altos History Museum and Los Altos Library. Nestled in the beautiful parklike setting, new Los Altos Community Center is modern, sustainably designed, inviting, and fits very well with unique character of the City of Los Altos. Featuring solar panels as all new construction should. New center has a Community room, 3 multipurpose rooms, meeting rooms, a catering kitchen, as well dedicated spaces for teens, seniors, and preschool program run by the city. The City will begin opening public facilities for in-person service starting September 7, 2021. I saw a number of residents sitting at the various desks and couches in the lobby areas on both sides of the building, most were on their devices or laptops working or relaxing. So there's free Wi-Fi and people can just hang out there. It's a pretty new and nice looking building with clean bathrooms.
