There are two restrooms (women's and men's) and a kitchen to prepare or store food. I love the fact that you can utilize both the inside are to store food and have places to sit and the outside area for games or just to enjoy the nice view and sun. Clean up - they require all trash and recycling to be removed and for the floors to be swept clean before you can leave. Parking: can get pretty tight. If you have an event - highly recommend to make it at 12 or earlier to help your guests get priority on parking spots.

Here's the breakdown: - the facility is a 2,000 square feet multi-purpose room that can accommodate about 110 people. - It has large kitchen in the back complete with stove, oven, microwave and large fridge. - it has a women's and men's restroom that is only available for your event (meaning, closed to the Lake-goers in the area). - rental of the facility includes 10 10x2 tables, as well as plenty of chairs. - there is a 6 hr minimum to rent (includes kitchen): $390 for Fremont residents, $510 for non-residents - each additional hour is $65 (resident) and $85 (non-resident) Pros: - booking was a breeze; I did my transactions online and correspondence via email and the contacts were very helpful and responsive! - the facility has lots of windows and overlooks a really great part of Lake Elizabeth. - close to the parking lot and easy to find. Cons: - building is quite old - parking lot can get packed by lunch time Other notes: - allow ample time for set up; the tables and chairs are not set up for you - soap and toilet paper is provided in the bathrooms; dishwashing liquid and surface cleaners however, are not...so bring your own - mops and brooms are located in the supply cabinet by the restrooms - you can serve beer, wine and champagne for a maximum of 4 hours Would book this again!

They've ranged from classics to experimental and from dramas to musicals. While the shows obviously vary in quality, I've always enjoyed them and been impressed by the acting. Compared to other community theater I've been to, this is a notch above. The building itself has an intimate and historical feel. It was built in 1934 in a Mediterranean style. The seating is a bit worn and may be cramped if you're a larger person but the acoustics are great and the sight lines are good from everywhere. There's not a bad seat in the house. There are snacks and drinks for intermission and, as has become increasingly common, you can pre-order. The bathrooms are in the building next door but it's a very short walk. All in all, a charming little theater with good plays.

This is the first time in 4 years going to that mall that I realized that was a superb way to spend an hour or 2 just admiring the items on display and the explanations of the history of this town that some consider 'less' than San Jose or somehow a sleepy town where people that cannot afford the 'real Silicon Valley' tend to find cheaper housing. If you are curious, like history and want to know what happened here before you put your feet at Apple, Google or whatever brought you here and decide that Milpitas is that town that stinks...stop next time you go to the mall to admire and think and respect what others left for you and understand how this area evolved (even you -and me-are part of its history now). The Milpitas Historical Society was organized by 79 Milpitans in 1980 to discover, preserve, and…read moredisseminate the history of Milpitas. The Society maintains the city's first fire truck, Leapin' Lena that is on display at the Library. It also takes care of a historical display near the food court in the Great Mall. Recently it began a display of historic items in City Hall. The Society is a group of active adults who all share a love of the cultural heritage of Milpitas. They serve the community in many ways: they help businesses interested in historic images; they promote local history to school groups; they conduct an annual community tour of local agriculture and historical sites; they bring interesting speakers to their monthly meetings; they publish an excellent informational newsletter called 'The Milpitas Muse;' they lobby our local city leaders to keep our local history alive. Recently they began cataloging their collection and advocating to build our city's first community museum to be located in a city park near the Public Library. After the museum opens, the Society hopes to operate and staff it. They meet on the second Wednesday of January, March, April, May, September, October, and November at the Library beginning at 7:00 PM. Stop in for an interesting history program and light refreshments. Their meetings are open to all!

The volunteers, the parents, the cast members, director, choreographer and vocal director as well as technical director and set designers work so hard the city must do better to provide them with the support to put on an extraordinary show. I love our library. It's spacious, they buy a lot of new books, there's organization, and new toys…read morefor kids. The librarians are all amazing and friendly. They remember your face and invite you in. My daughter is comfortable approaching their space and asking questions. She always asks for a sticker and they're always gracious about giving her one. I love the pond out front of the library, the playground behind it, and the parking lot can accommodate many cars. The pond has this dirt path that leads you to a beautiful grassy park with a playground. I loved how my daughter was able to experience childhood this way.

It's pretty much split into a kids section on the south side and then grown ups have their books on the north side of the building. There's also a teen room, an Internet cafe, and plenty of computers to borrow as well as multimedia like dvds. Near the children's section there's plenty of seating that's mostly quiet, although when we visited there were 2 kids that were really loud and ran amuck and their respective moms were just on their phones and didn't really pay them any attention. Hmmm. There's a vast selection of books and the library is pretty clean although some areas are a bit worn and some places needed a bit more deep cleaning. Other than that it's really a nice facility and very colorful with nice natural lighting throughout.
