Not to mention their teens and children's areas that are perfect for all age groups. The library especially is spacious and virtually meant for young children who want to roam around. Also for all the comic book lovers and enthusiasts, this library provides an enormous collection of comics with the likes of Garfield and Spider-Man from Marvel. What if you want to just borrow a movie to watch? Well, this library has a gigantic section full of movies! With fan-favorites such as the Tatanic and The Mask of Zorro to Batman Begins and Mary Poppins, this place has it all! All in all, it was a good visit and I enjoyed hanging out and relaxing with a book in one of the comfortable lounging chairs and also walking around to see what all this library has to offer. This is definitely one of the more interesting historical places in Alameda County to visit. This…read moreis a very old Cemetery with many of the graves dating from the mid-to-late 1800s. Centerville Presbyterian Church is done a very good job of documenting and giving historical information on all of the graves here that could be identified. There is an information area in the center of the cemetery. On either side is a beautiful color color mural. I especially enjoyed reading about how the church was founded in the 1800s. You could find the family grave area for the Brier family nearby. I found it fascinating to wander around and just read the inscriptions on the grave markers. Some of them could not be read, but most of them could.

Driving down fremont blvd. next to the taco bell, I remember seeing a cheaply made "fremont/east…read morebay park" style sign. You know, a sign that typically says "boat rental" or "oak picnic area". Except this one said "OLD PIONEER CEMETERY". One of a few random "discoveries" as I was driving aimlessly around my hometown looking for something to explore whn I was in high school. Right off of blacow road, I never thought you could see a holdout of California history in a 50's era suburban wasteland like fremont but here it was, a reminder from the days before when this segment of town was called Washington Township. I wonder if anyone ever visits anymore. Its an old school cemetery covered in dead grass, dirt, and trees in a few parts. The tombstones are crazy old for fremont standards, like 1800s old. And you can tell from the weathered look of the statues and tombstones that they've been standing there for a while. It's kind of like the cemeteries at the Missions but with more gringo names. There really isn't much more to see or do here, unless you're doing some research for your family's past. And whadayaknow...the guys Blacow road and Jarvis Ave. are named after are buried here as well. If history floats your boat, check out this fremont landmark. It's also great for a photo class project which is what I ended up using it for. Taiwanese unite! This cultural center welcomes people with roots in Taiwan and enthusiasts to learn…read moreand immerse in enrichment activities. They host a pretty big library accessible to all ages with media available in Chinese. We were able to visit recently due to a lunar new year festival hosted by the Northern California South Bay Taiwanese as Association every year where various vendors and performers were invited in the celebration. From lion dancers to kung fu performers as well as Chinese yo-yo practitioners, members of the community showcased their talent and skills in celebrating their heritage. The main space is quite large and was able to accommodate quite a number of people. The main stage was high enough for folks in the back to see the performers clearly. Furthermore, the sound system worked fine and speakers at the event were pretty audible. There is a private parking lot as well as street parking nearby so for most events, it's quite reasonable to secure a spot. Overall, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center is a great resource for community members to connect with opportunities available for youth and seniors while also immersing in the Taiwanese culture through art, music, and food. With a large auditorium, it's a great space to host events for medium to large groups.

The classes always tend to be smaller, which (to me) translates to the fact that many small business owners are not taking advantage of these free or low-cost resources!

It's been 8 months. 8 months of absolutely nothing. I…read morereceived my business LOAN last year without a problem. In filing for the extensions, etc one would think it would be no issue. But no. All of a sudden there's an issue with my bank not accepting the funds. Funny, there was no problem the year prior. But I digress.... Per SBA suggestion, I opened a new account and did as they said. Upload the information and wait. Well waiting it has been. EIGHT MONTHS. All to swap out banking information? I've had to upload this agreement. Copies of THAT form. And pdf files of everything else in between. And just when you think you've been asked to send enough, they want more. Or in my case, it's now 2022 and everything has to be renewed! So here we go sending new information! I swear, it's easier to get funding if I were illegal than this route. Gee, I wonder what changed in the last year.. ,
