Lately friends have been in an artsy mood and I'm always happy to oblige. I used to be quite crafty and a pseudo artist back in the day when I worked for an ad agency in SF....awww memories. Fast forward many, many years later I seem to have lost that creative side (other than cooking!) and haven't done much arts and crafts so this was a nice reprieve from the usual. My friend picked a day we were painting Hocus Pocus since it was close to Halloween...I never watched the movie but game to take a class as I haven't done a "paint-and-sip" since my first time in Danville. The concept is having wine and cheese while the instructor guides you thru each step of your painting. After 2 hours of painting, laughs and seeing everyone else's "interpretation" on the subject, you have an end product to take home. A fun experience for all creative levels even if you think you don't have a creative side. The whole point is to go with the flow and have fun. ...and it's not the wine talking. Other classes offered: fused glass, painted charcuterie boards, light saber class (yeah hmmm!), painted wine glass and kids summer camps. Came here on a Saturday night and we were the only 2 in the class but it was still an amazing experience - it was a private class in the end! Good: - Everything was prepared when we got there, and we just needed to put on some art aprons and we had all the brushes and paints in front of us - Tami was a great teacher and super fun! I enjoyed getting guidance on how to make the painting better and she gave us tips on blending paints too - We got rose with our painting and it came out immediately so it was easy to sip and paint - Our paintings turned out great in the end! I was pleasantly surprised by the final result and was happy with the progress from start to finish Bad: - The studio was pretty empty so it felt a little sad that we were the only ones Overall this was a great date experience and I'd recommend to others looking for something slightly different than their usual date night activity. Amazing venue for single digit birthday parties & I am sure it would be wonderful for any age range. The space is small although well utilized to accommodate adults & children. I loved that the kiddos were whisked away to do art upstairs while the adults enjoyed a glass of wine downstairs. A part of me wishes I could have painted along side my twinsies as well. It was highly organized in a fashionable way. I thoroughly enjoyed this crafty birthday party & am interested in some weekend activities here with my kids & adult friends! read more

Our team had a wonderful time at Wine & Design in Los Altos! I scheduled a teambuilding event for our team, and Arezou was so helpful, attentive, and kind as she helped me figure out all the details and planning for the event. We loved the beautiful charcuterie board we ordered, and the painting was lots of fun! They were very accommodating with taking our ideas into account during the planning process. I also really appreciated that they had some of their own teambuilding activities to add to the ones we planned. The rest of the Wine & Design team was wonderful to talk to and helped the day go by smoothly. We could love to go back soon! read more

Went in with family for brother's 14th birthday. Had an enjoyable time over the course of two hours, which felt quite a bit shorter, mainly due to the engaging and thorough teaching by Colby, who also made time to walk around the room and offer in-the-moment feedback and suggestions for anyone who had questions. He later told me that he was new to the brand, which pleasantly surprised me. The atmosphere is wonderful--cozy and creative--and its location in Los Altos is prime. I would come back. read more

Our school used this company for an after school program. We had to pay up front for the entire program but when the school shut down she would not refund our money for the classes that were cancelled. All the other after school programs promptly refunded our money for the classes that were cancelled. She kept our money and didn't provide the service we signed up for. For the little compensation she offered, we would have had to pay even more money to try and recoup our loss. All she wants to do is take your money. I would not recommend using this company. read more

Thanks for such an awesome kids birthday party, Wine and Design. Arezou makes it so fantastic for the kids. In addition to painting, she plays games with the kids while parts of the paintings are drying as part of her process. She masterfully manages 15 grade school kids to have an awesome time making wonderful masterpieces. We got many compliments from patent for the experience. UPDATE!! My daughter had an awesome time at the art camp on Martin Luther King day. She was thrilled with the art projects she worked on and later that night she said "Mrs. Bahman is so nice." We know Arezou well through her wine and design business and her work as a teachers aide. My daughter has been in her afterschool program - her second year now. I feel so fortunate that we have this awesome business owner. And that the space is finally open! It takes a VERY long time to open a business in Los Altos, particularly when any food and drink is involved (as we know from personal experience). read more

I hosted my sister's bridal party at this place and it was such a memorable experience. All the guests really enjoyed the painting on canvas accompanied by wine and appetizers. Our teacher, Fatemeh, was an amazing fun artist who made the experience even more valuable. The owner, Arezou, helped set up everything ahead of time in a very nice way and was around making sure everything was going well throughout the event. All in all a very fun unique gathering. I came here for a fun night with some friends and we had such a great time. The staff were really nice & welcoming. The teacher was also good and patience with us laughing & goofing off. In comparison to other "paint nights" I've been to before, I love that they're focused on painting (and of course having fun). But you don't have other people next to you who are just there for drinks and food at a random restaurant. The place feels like a nice clean art studio. They have downstairs & upstarts with lots of sitting which also makes it perfect for a private event. Definitely going back here & taking friends with me. read more

My 8 year old daughter has been attending Wine and Design's summer art camps and yearly art classes for the past two years. She absolutely loves it! She looks forward to it. Arezou, Tami, and their wonderful team do an amazing job with creating fun experiences for the kids that develops their creativity and critical thinking. While I think it's really cool that they're teaching art in schools, I do not recommend signing your kids up for this after school class. The teacher forgot my child two weeks in a row & when I complained to the organizer , she made up an elaborate story of how he was not there & the teacher brought him late. She actually blamed the teacher for her negligence!! I am shocked & appalled at their lack of interest in getting all their enrolled students to class. Secondly, they randomly cancel classes even when school is in session with no mention of a refund! Um ya, we took your money.. now class is canceled! Lastly & most importantly, they do not give equal encouragement to all the children. If one has stellar art skills then fantastic! They are really good. What about the kids who have never taken a class before? Are they not trying? Don't they need positive feedback too? Apparently no. They might as well not come. So thoroughly disappointed & will not be signing up anyone else anymore. Be warned, it is not for the out of the box creative artist, only for those who obey.. and can make it to there on their own. read more

We had Wine & Design at one of our resident paint and sip events for about 100 people, they came to us, gave helpful instruction and were really efficient throughout the class. Arezou and her team were amazing, they made setting up super easy for us and the teachers were so helpful. She was able to accommodate our needs and made the flow of our event super smooth. I'm really not surprised that that Arezous "wine & design" is taking so long to open. She's disorganized. I made the mistake of signing my daughter up for an afterschool activities class with her. Arezou would scream at the children, and my daughter would come home crying. I literally heard her screaming when arriving early for pickup. She is not meant to work with children. She would try to recruit people she knew to help her sign kids up for her classes afterschool, as she never got a good turnout. read more

My daughter (7yo) loves teacher Arezou. We met her at the after school art program and she is great with kids and very creative. I enrolled my daughter in several online camps this summer and I am so glad I did. The studio provided lots of fun materials in a huge box and kids had a great time making arts and crafts. The box was organized by each day so my daughter could find things and got ready for the class without help. I am happy that kids can stay creative and interact with others during this time. read more
