Our 4-year-old daughter is enrolled in the new drawing class for younger kids (3-5 years old) and absolutely loves it. She looks forward to it so much that she asks to go every day. Teacher Robin has been wonderful. She is incredibly patient with the kids and does a great job keeping them engaged and focused throughout the session. The progression of the class is also thoughtfully designed, starting from basic tracing and moving to learning how to color properly, stay within the lines, and color in a consistent direction. It is impressive how much the kids pick up in such a short time. We have also had a great experience with the communication and scheduling. We started off with a free trial as a recommendation from a friend whose son loved this studio. We have been going for a few months now and we absolutely love Drawn2Art! My four-year-old looks forward to art class every single week - it's honestly the highlight of her schedule. The teachers are all incredibly sweet, patient, and encouraging. Since starting classes here, my daughter's confidence in her art has blossomed. She's so proud of her drawings that she laminates each one and keeps them all in a special book! My kid and I have been attending weekly art classes at D2A for a little over a year now. I love the fact that there are so many options to choose from in terms of class schedules and teacher combinations. This allows for so much flexibility with kids' and our own schedules! ALL the teachers are really nice, very skilled, and most importantly very patient! This allows for kids to feel safe and creative, and be themselves! And so do the adults. Everyone is very comfortable and thus able to learn and grow! I have worked with almost all the teachers and there isn't one that I'm not impressed with! Kudos to them all! Drawn2Art is a wonderful art school - all of the teachers are very professional and encouraging to both young students and adults. They teach you how to draw by "seeing" large shapes, and then teach you to use all of the dry media and then the wet media. Each student is working on their own specific project and the teachers assist and guide. They also have a robust make up class policy and encourage you to schedule makeups, which are easy to do. My 5 year old has been going here for a few weeks. Overall experience has been really positive. The class we got is pretty good as there are fewer kids there, so teachers get to spend lot of time with each students. This class has helped to focus and develop patience. As much as this place is hyped, it's not as great as expected. We did a trial class, had to sign all the paperwork beforehand like we would be joining on the day of the trial. During the class, I thought my kid did ok. It was the first art class of the 5 year olds life. Um... apparently their verdict was not good enough to continue because they told us we were rejected! Um what? What a blow to both of our self-esteems. Look, there are many other art studios in this area, if there is so much demand for art classes to just reject interested kiddos, there is just as much competition for art students. Don't be fooled by the smiling teachers, they are cut-throat and will cut you if you don't fit their mold. Bye bye! Beware when they post "perfect" artwork on their website from 5 year olds, etc.. they are showing what they expect from toddlers, not what they will teach them. Lesson learned. read more

This place has been wonderful for my daughter. She has been going to Drawn2Art for the last six years or so, and at this point I am blown away by what she brings home. (She takes it more for granted.) She has learned various techniques -- blending colors, lighting objects, proportion, drawing curves, etc -- and has enjoyed working with the different media (chalk pastel, colored pencil, water color, charcoal, acrylics, etc). She continues to learn and improve, and is happy and relaxed at the studio, even though at this point most of the kids are younger (she just turned 13). She has had some wonderful teachers, and occasionally gets to do drawings outside the curriculum for a break, which she enjoys as well. This is a structured curriculum, and my daughter is very creative, but it works for her. She is challenged, she focuses, and she is (mostly) proud of the work she does. read more

I have been associated with Robin for about 5 years now. She is incredibly creative in all that she does. She makes learning fun, informative, and memorable. Robin is the absolutely best Education Coordinator that we have ever had. She keeps us informed, gives us the tools to do better ourselves, and makes us look forward to hearing from her each and every time. I know she brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to her work with Draw2Art as well. Somehow I miss this place! I had my son draw here when he was in the Kindergarten and we cannot continue because we have to move and this place become too far for us. Class primarily consist of copying or tracing off paper drawing and coloring these sketches. Teachers supervise but don't really provide much artistic guidance on technique, besides helping the kids trace their pictures. read more

I recently attended the KidsArt Halloween party at their studio and was amazed (and a little overwhelmed) not only at the number of children who were proud to show off their work, but at the quality of the work itself. The walls were covered with work from kids ages 4 and up and I couldn't believe how nice they were. Even starting at the age of 4, I could tell these kids were better skilled than I was, and when you got to the older kids' work, I was blown away. for the last 7 years, drawn2art has been the only class that my children have consistently attended, and with undiminished enthusiasm. they would mutiny if i ever discontinued! my children have only had 2 different teachers in their entire time at the school, so the instructor has been able to develop and appreciate each child's growing skill over a course of years--the teachers and staff have become like family! and the class schedule is vast and flexible, with students being able to make up classes (an unusually generous but extremely valuable policy). most definitely the best art school! read more
