This is a solid Home Depot. We found everything we needed for the remodeling project we are working on. The quality of the products was great as well. We found the availability of carts to be good too. There are a lot of orange-vested employees walking around, willing to help. However, I would suggest to them that if they are frustrated with their jobs, they probably shouldn't be telling the customers! We'll definitely be back if we are in Springfield. read more

Ordered new washer & dryer, told them I have a new home and phone reception is poor. They said they would deliver between 12 noon and 4PM. They did not mention they needed to call prior to delivery. They called and I missed the call by 45 seconds. I called them within the 45 seconds back and they where shitty and rude say they canceled the delivery. I canceled my entire order. I still need to purchase many more appliances and other items. I will not be working with such rude people again. Home Depot use to be good, now they are pure $HIT!!!! read more

I ordered a patio door online, requested it to be delivered to the patio, as it does weigh a lot and my wife are elderly and we can maneuver it we can't carry. So we paid the extra $99 for the delivery. The day they were to deliver it we happened to be home. It came with one driver saying he knew nothing about taking it to the patio that, his notes just said drop it off and of course he alone couldn't do it! Well, with no way for my wife and I to move it around the house I couldn't accept it. Then I called the store to try to get it worked out and was more or less told they don't deliver like that...after he was done I guess I was to feel bad for expecting something be delivered where I requested it be. Their "team" didn't have the people... a "team" is more than 1! I also learned the delivery is by a third party, they trust them so well they could start the refund till the truck comes back... Let me be clear, I was not a happy customer when I called and spoke to this person, I was not irate, not cussing, but certainly upset and far more upset by this persons tone and the attitude that I shouldn't even expect them to deliver it to the patio. This person then told me I had to contact online, that's where I bought it... Home Depot, the local store delivering but didn't get credit for the sale so they treat me like a turd. I contacted online they also thought it of course should have been delivered as requested, and apparently when they offered first refund the delivery fee, drop the door and I could get a couple of kids to move it! I was paying for professionals to deliver this for a reason! Not interested in making myself liable for a couple of kids! Then I get an email saying they had delivered it. Again with online chat to be told they have started the refund, but there was an electrical box with the order that the driver did not give me still on the order and I should again contact the store. I explained I have no intent to deal with that store again. They knew they got it all back and just trying to make have to come to the store... I don't see that in my future! Shame, we loved the door we had picked out and we had found several other items there we liked better than the local major competitors we had intended to source there, I don't see that in our future now. To the Home Depot Manager of the day, 4/29. Yes, you do need some customer service training. Your customer experience skills are lacking in several ways. Yes I do know, you had several opportunities to have solved this in a respectful manner, but you chose the low road. Oh and I also know this will impact me directly in another way, don't care. Ryan Lanken the assistant manager has no communication skills. Trying to buy four doors from Home Depot is a huge undertaking. I paid for measurement's, installation, doors, and hardware. I have also cancelled my order and will go to another retailer that want's my business. Dealing with a 3rd party RFI was a hue part of the problem. Home Depot's customer service is less than desirable. I came into the 2104 E Independence Springfield, Missouri store to purchase four doors.  They told me that I would have to set up an appointment with RFI . When RFI called to schedule the appointment they were approximately 3 weeks from the date that I had walked into Home Depot.  Tyler came out on March 22, 2024. I went over all of the doors and let him do his job.  When finished he said Home Depot would be in contact. I came into your store on April, 3, 2024 ready to order doors.  I worked with Sarah Shockey and found out that you could not install doors next to the siding in the back of the home, Tyler never mentioned this before leaving my home when he was there. I was kinda upset that Tyler failed to mention this to me when he was here.  I ordered and paid for a door and installation before departing Home Depot on April 3, 2024. I was pleased how Sarah helped me in the process. Also, Sarah and I discussed that I would have someone other than Tyler come to my home, she affirmed that there were other installers that could do the installation.  I received a call this morning from Ryan Lanken asking how he could help me!  Unfortunately I was very uninterested in going through the whole process again with an assistant manager that wanted to save the day and be a hero.in front of other employees while I was on the phone.  He needs to lose his title and not go making problems for others after they have been resolved. I am a business owner and I have wasted more time on this process than necessary. Purchasing four doors and installation should not be this big of an issue. I feel that Home Depot needs to address the issues internally instead of bringing a customer into business issues. The only thing that Ryan accomplished this morning was upsetting a customer, cancelling a sale, a bad experience with Home Depot, and a negative review on the web. I have a simple resolution for all of this: Cancel my order, refund my credit card and I will do business elsewhere. I have also contacted my credit card to dispute the charges since Ryan hung up on me and would not let me finish my conversation. read more

Today was a knock your socks off customer service day to at Home Depot. My husband needed help to get a big weed destroyer for the overgrown weeds taking over our various areas of our yard. He wanted Ryobi since we like their products. Immediately, he was asked by Scott if he needed help which my husband did. Scott went above and beyond. He was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful patiently explaining the systems he recommends and why. The Ryobi rep was there and seconded all of Scott's astute recommendations. My husband was impressed and nothing makes this man impressed. Scott you are a super star and I sincerely hope you are recognized for your efforts. The parking lot is easier to navigate than the Lowe's up the street. The building looks older and is fairly well laid out with more staff than I am used to in a Home Depot, and I was able to find some obscure items I needed that Lowe's didn't have. Next time I will bring a flashlight though as the store was pretty dimly lit. read more

These people at Home Depot do not know what they are doing. The send email stating your item is out for delivery and then never show!!!! Take your business to a great store like Lowes or even Menards, because they actually care about you as a person and treat you like a customer that is important to them. We just moved here to Missouri from San Diego. We left everything behind and needed to purchase a washer and dryer. Well we went to Home Depot and purchased paid for a washer and dryer set. Once we paid for it we found out it couldn't be delivered for about a month which was July 7th. The day before our expected delivery we received a message the washer and dryer are still in route and I won't be Until the end of July. We decided we wanted to cancel our purchase as we need a washer and dryer now. We have called numerous times and have come into Home Depot to get out refund and they won't give it to us. They said they have to deliver it and us reject it which makes no sense. Home Depot shame on you for keeping almost $1200.00 of ours!!!! Home Depot you have millions of dollars and you can't refund our money what a bunch of thieves!!! 7-16-21 still have not heard back from the manager at Home Depot or anyone. I tried calling this location about six times to check if they had an item in stock I need as I live an hour away. Each time the phone rang until it eventually just hung up. Very disappointed I waited 11 days after I had to go in person to Home Depot to pay $30 for someone to measure at my house. Wouldn't let me leave with a stock door. 2 days later I get a call from the scheduling side. The appointment was made then I hear nothing till I call at 11am on the scheduled Monday and ask why they were not here. They had said morning, my notes say early early AM. I get no reply to my voicemail then they say 4-5. The only hour I can't be there they book, I ask them to give another option. I hear nothing till 4:10 and Home Depot says the order says done and that I canceled so I have to start all over and pay 30 dollars and start process over. It's a basic task! I called the install number I told them someone would go there so plan to see them at 4:30. No show no call, and Home Depot says come in and pay 30 dollars again. Wow! read more

I purchased a countertop RCA dishwasher online tried to use it it leaked all over and I called the Home Depot in Springfield only to find that they do not stock this product - called the Manufacture (In Canada) only to get a long list of things they needed like a Bill of Sale ( That I never got and after about 15 calls later found out nothing) The only way I found all of the information was from the people in Canada and the small print in the warranty section. I am a handicapped lady on oxygen 24/7 and cannot get to the stores to select anything. I feel like I've been RIPPED OFF by Home Depot and will never shop or refer anyone to them EVER. read more

I shop at the Home Depot regularly and I've yet to have poor service at this location. However, that can not be further from the truth this time. I ran by after work to get some sheet vinyl for a project and I needed an associate to cut some from the big roll in the bay. I looked for buttons to press to call for help, but didn't find any, so I went and found an associate. They said they would call someone. I went back to the vinyl section and waited for 30 minutes, but nobody came. Associates and managers alike were stocking, moving pallets, helping customers in the nearby carpet section, etc. all around me the whole time, but it was like I was invisible. I ended up leaving the store empty handed and annoyed. read more

Ever walk into a Home Depot, and wonder if the employees are playing a one way game of hide-and-go-seek with you, perched on some shelf while snickering that you can't see them in their neon orange vest? I've made it entire Home Depot trips with never seeing any employees other than the cashier, so imagine my surprise when I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help within 30 seconds of arrival. This then repeated a few more times with other employees I passed. Yes, my mind was blown at seeing a ready and waiting employee every few isles. Unfortunately, a duplicate key I had made does not work, so sadly I am taking off a star for what was otherwise a quite impressive Home Depot. read more

Home Depot's quality of service was very poor and the folks who work their have very little knowledge about the product line they are suppose to be expert on. Another disappointing visit to this Home Depot . 1. Wanted to buy water softner for our home. The gentleman name Dan was introduces to me as an expert on water softener. He showed me three different water softeners. I inquired about the price difference between two models. Dan responded I don't set the price. I expected Dan to explain what features set both units apart but disappointedly he had no clue and offered no info or made any effort to sell the unit. The reason I went to Home Depot over on line purchase was to speak to someone knowledgeable enough to explain the functionality and features of one model over the other . VERY DISAPPOINTED. I waited for this weekend when I had time to finalize this project. Now I am headed to Menards to see if I can make the purchase and hopefully deal with slightly more knowledgeable sales person. 2. I needed to purchase several track lights and the gentleman who was there to help me had absolutely no clue about the functionality of different track lights. Upon inquiring per my application the gentleman was improvising his answers in other words winging it. Extremely disappointing experience. He appeared annoyed when I asked a question about the wattage capacity and did not have the answer and finally he was reading of the box to learn how the light will work. A solid waste of 1 hour of my time. Home Depot especially at this location is becoming very difficult to do business. It takes forever to find someone to help and when you find someone, they are not quite equipped to answer the questions . read more

I purchased carpet for 3 bedrooms, it was installed before Christmas in 2021. I complained ten days later about the doorway transitions and how they look and you can even feel the tack strip. I have called and emailed and still have not been able to have it fixed. I will never ever purchase from Home Depot again, Romanoff does their installation and they are full of it. I try to always hit up Home Depot because of their great prices. However I am always shocked at how horrible their customer service is. It is a store where I only see employees at the register, and when I do find an employee in an isle they never seem to be able to answer my questions. Today I came in to look at mulch options, compare lawn mowers, and compare weed eaters. It took 32 minutes to find an employee who would make eye contact, or come near me (one guy walked by at a casual pace, looked at me, turned around, and started power walking away from me). Finally I went to lawn and garden where one employee would not sell me mulch but kept insisting I plant flowers, however the other was very kind. She helped me flag down someone to show me lawnmowers, and answer questions. 15 minutes later a guy came to assist, he was helpful (I was shocked) however the prices were higher than lowes and walmart. To conclude; I left, and won't be back anytime soon. I'd rather pay more (usually) at lowes and recieve goos service. read more

I'm a big fan of Home Depot. We have saved a lot of money by ordering our appliances though them and have had no problems with anything. Everything was exactly what we picked out at the store and delivered profesionally. We even had our HVAC (Heat and Air Conditioner unit) go out in January and purchased one through them. We got it installed and over less than two thousand dollars the price of what another recomended heat and air company quoted us. They even came out to the house and gave us a FREE estimate, unlike the other place. Works great just like everything else we have purchased from them and was not one penny more than they quoted. I only dock them one star because when I go into their stores, I always have to go find a person to help me. First I'll look where they should be, their department. Then I go to the service desk in the front and have them paged Almost every time. The money saved is well worth it and the people that have come to our house have always been great. read more

really need to compliment the Millwork department at the Springfield Home Depot, specifically associates Dan and Jessica. My husband and I are currently building our forever home. We knew we wanted black Andersen windows to complete the look of our home. Our builder only orders Andersen products through Meeks and he was told by Meeks that the specific grid pattern we wanted could not be ordered for our chosen windows. Instead, we were quoted windows without a grid pattern at an extreme cost. I decided to consult Home Depot, since they sell Andersen windows. Dan and Jessica worked tediously to design our windows to our specifications AND were able to save us $13,000 on the total cost of windows for our home. The windows were delivered, installed, and are absolutely beautiful. Thank you Home Depot for helping us making our forever home perfect. read more

The first time I felt the explanation was racial discrimination. I need to replace my home with a new carpet and chose home depot. They came to my house and do room measurement at noon today. I received a text message in the evening and went to the store to follow up further to determine my replacement estimate and make an appointment for carpet laying time. At first, she enthusiastically helped me print out the valuation sheet and told me the contents. After that, she needed to help the next guest. During this period, I chose to change another kind of carpet and waited patiently for her to replace and settle the bill for me. But she was talking with other people nothing about flooring on the phone. I have been waiting for 30 minutes and tried to get closer to her, try to get her attention that i still here waiting on her. But she not giving me a shit,just enjoying talk on the phone. I chose to leave and told them about the situation in the customer service, and they showed that they didn't care. It's really sad and angry. Went to Home Depot about 8:30 4/5/22. It is the first and LAST time that I've been to Home Depot in years. I went to check out their 10% military discount. I am a retired USAF NCO FEMALE. I picked up 5 items needed to repair my bathroom floor. I went to stand in line to check out but the older gentleman at the counter was on the phone. There were several other people shooting the breeze behind the counter. While I was waiting to be checked out, a couple come to the counter. A lady behind the counter said to the couple and I quote " I can help you here, I not doing anything". While I was STANDING there. Then, the older gentleman finally got off of the phone and informed me that I needed to be in the other line because he only checked out contractors. I went to ANOTHER line. Two minutes later a woman with two cute kids got behind me in the new line. Older gentleman went up and told the lady with kids that HE could check her out. The mom kept shooting me confused looks, like why is he checking me out when you're standing there? After the older gentleman was done with her, I guess he figured that I had waited long enough and I hope the dirty look I shot him helped, he then LOWERED himself to check me out. The total was around $75.00. I told him I had a military discount. My 10% discount was less than $2.50. (After he THOUGHT he got the app figured out.) After everything else, I told them to keep the supplies and I went to Lowe's. They have an actual 10% discount and I know where the "correct" check out is located. read more

I ordered a refrigerator in early August and received it in mid September. The guys dropped it off and I left for work when they left, I was running behind. I saw a good sz dent in the left side of the refrigerator when I returned from work and called the following morning. I was told it would be replaced and about a month later the second refrigerator arrived. The guys called to let me know they would arrive in about 30 minutes so I took everything out of the refrigerator and removed the screws in my screen door tension rod in preparation. The second refrigerator arrived with the same dent in the same place. I asked the delivery guys to please make sure the 3rd fridge was not dented before delivery and they said they would do that. 3rd fridge arrived today. I took everything out of the fridge and freezer, removed the screws in my screen door, and guess what? The 3rd fridge arrived with 2 big dents in the side. One of the delivery guys was here with fridge 2 and I reminded him they said they would make sure there were no dents before they delivered it. I am not a happy customer! read more

This is now the third time having an issue with this location. DO NOT BUY HUSKY AIR COMPRESSORS #1 & #2 DONT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION. It seems like every time I have an issue it takes getting in contact with the store manager (Walter who is actually pretty good) just to get the thing done that I need done. I bought a husky compressor a few months back for $149, it completely stopped working (motor issue) brought it back with the receipt and was told they couldn't give me the full return only $75 of it. ALL of the husky compressors were marked down almost 50% off because obviously there is an issue with the quality of them. Stand behind your products, especially the ones that say "lifetime warranty" on them. read more

We ordered flooring for 2,600 sq. ft. Online. It came in 2 weeks early! We went to pick it up and we couldn't fit all 3 pallets in the truck bed. Chris brought out all 3, loaded 2, and took 1 back to store so we could pick it up later. They were very helpful and quick! We will be back! read more

Ordered a fridge. Was suppose to get it delivered a week later. Got an email, delayed for next day. Got another email for delay so won't receive until 5 days later. Then it was suppose to ship the next day. No communication or messages until I called and now won't be delivered until January. Bought a whirlpool gas stove from them. Beware once it's delivered it's out of their hands and they do not care. It was delivered to me defective. They refer you to Whirlpool. I held on the phone with Whirlpool two times for an hour each time. Finally I called some obscure number I found on the web. Whirlpool came out and fixed the problem saying that Home Depot's installers set it up wrong and that's why it didn't work. That being said they'd have to charge me for the service call. I refused saying HD should pay. The Whirlpool guy said he'd never get paid. I called HD about the problem and they again referred me to Whirlpool. I'm on hold again, so far for 37 minutes. HD customer service is awful, so is Whirlpool. I'll never use either again. read more

This location charges 5x the price for things such as drywall as all the other locations in the state of Missouri...after contacting them 2x their only answer was they do not match store to store!! Save yourself some time and lots of money visit any other store in the state or even better shop Menards or Lowe's. read more
