It took a crazy long period for me to walk around, hoping to find one. 2. When I finally found someone he said it wasn't his department so he couldn't help me. He did however call someone over to that area for me (okay I guess this was the 2nd good thing that happened) 3. While I was waiting I checked for the item online. The app said there should be over 20 still in stock. There were none. I could go on and on but I simply don't have the time. I think you get the gist. Oh, and the cashiers just stand around the middle of the checkout (where the carts are) absolutely cackling and ignoring me as I left. Will go to Meyers next time. read more

I have been going to this Home Depot on Panorama Trail for years. It's my favorite Home Depot in town. Yes, sometimes things could be very busy or take longer time than expected to figure out any issues but in general I prefer to go to this Home Depot than any other one in Rochester. My favorite staff there are Fatma, Albert and Josh (from appliances). Too bad Josh left Home Depot, he was the one who figured anything and everything out in the computer system when it comes to sales, exchange, refunds and returns, in general. I'm sure his replacement is also great but I haven't experienced that, yet. I'll keep shopping here. If you know that you need an assistance from a staff member then make sure to go during the week M-F between 8am to 5pm to be able to get their best help. my wife had ordered a item from this location. Item had been delivered to the wrong house. our address commonly get mixed up with another just a few blocks away. the wrong location just has east in the beginning. We called costumer support 5/14/24 and they were supper nice but when we called the store directly the lady that answered the phone was super rude and said she would have here supervisor call us back which never happened. I needed thinset mortar to fix something in my bathroom. I only needed a scoop of it, and unfortunately, you can only buy a gallon of it. More unfortunately than that, I went to another location to buy it, and they were out of the white one... So, I drove the whole way here to get it. I checked online and it said it was in stock. I knew exactly where to look for it since I'd just looked for it at the other store, and the shelf was empty. I literally said "really?" to myself. So I went around the store to find an employee. I finally found one, told her that the website said they had it, and that the shelf was empty. She told me it was in the store if that's what it said. So she found yet another employee, Andrea, and she climbed a ladder and got it off the shelves above where it was supposed to be so that I could finally buy one. I am very thankful for her so that I didn't have to go to ANOTHER Home Depot. So, they're not great at stocking their shelves, but if you check online, if it says they have it, get an employee to get it for you. read more

Home Depot is what it is... a giant, lumbering retail Dinosaur grazing in the Rochester grass. I worry about stores this massive... which is why I try to patronize Mayer's Hardware and Debbie Supply when feasible. Still, Home Depot IS a reliable source for a wide variety of products. My wife is always swinging by there to pick up Behr paints & painting supplies. I've purchased Cat5 wire and networking hardware there & can count on them to have other tools and supplies that I need whenever I do premise wiring. This store in particular is fairly busy & lively. I know a few employees there, many of them part timers who work in other fields.They are decent upstanding citizens. Like Christopher B., I have no idea what Eric M. is referring to! read more

This is a pretty good place to get some Pavestone landscaping bricks and stones and tiles. I took a stroll inside and they have a large selection of everything! I noticed the side parking lot was filled with landscaping items, and during my visit, they were putting a variety of trees, shrubs and large plants out for sale. Returned to purchase the correct supplies & have a conversation with the manager. Explained the situation, how disappointed I was, my concern they have an employee giving out completely wrong information and how much trouble it caused. He barely said a word. Never apologized and basically said I could return the unused or empty product for a refund and there was nothing else he (Angel Rodriguez) could or would do. He then attempted to call the tile manager who never arrived but did state via phone that IF he were to POSSIBLY do anything else that he would have to come to my house to see the damage at his leisure. I don't have time or patience for ifs, maybes or probably nots so I left to get back to repairing the damage. Back AGAIN the following day to return the container and spoke with a different manager (Colleen) at the urging of a customer service rep. She was sympathetic, apologized repeatedly & actively listened. Told me she would talk to the employee, the other manager and so forth. She then comped the $30 in supplies we were planning on buying while we were there. While it doesn't make up for the bologna we went through, SOMETHING was done to rectify the situation. NEVER trust a so-called Home Depot "expert" if you value doing things correctly. Lesson learned. read more

This is my flagship Home Depot. I often come here for lighting and electrical needs and am very excited about their fuller stock of LED bulb options. Usually all of your bits and bobs are in stock. Seasonal items are often available earlier. The store is easy to navigate and always has a staff member in sight of the popular sections. I've never had an issue purchasing or returning at this location and most of the employees remember me because of my frequent visits. This location is a lot easier to get to than Henrietta or Irondiquoit and has a lot less traffic. I recommend before visiting, use the Home Depot App to check if things are in stock. It is usually spot on. The staff is always willing to help or find someone who can. Some of the staff are a little quirky in their humor, so as always be kind and rewind. read more

I am a little put off by the consistent pressure to use the "self-serve" check out. I abhor self check outs, I want for cashiers to pick from not one with four compters. As Home Depot goes this one is pretty great. The nursery department is actually ok I've found some very interesting plants and some good deals there. If you like Home Depot's and big hardware stores this will fit the bill. I don't usually need help ...... just finding things and that never seems to be a problem. I don't have a need to go to a hardware store very often but I came this time to get tiles to use while I made coasters. You couldn't beat the price, 16 cents a tile. The staff could have been a little more friendly. I got a lot of head nods but no one actually offered to help me find the tiles. Thankfully, I have made plenty of trips to home depot with my Dad throughout my life and they are all the same inside so it was easy for me to find the tiles. The cashier was friendly. Perhaps this store is great for something other than their lawn and garden section, but go elsewhere if that's what you need. Two stars because at least I had a positive experience with Steve, Jen, and Mary at the service desk, and a gentleman whose name I can't remember from Hardware. They delivered great customer service and were (close to) as helpful as they could be in a perpetual trainwreck. I will never be returning to this store again because it took three trips for me to attempt to get a wheelbarrow and even still I have to return it tomorrow and go to a different location (where they will be putting it together for me! without me asking!). The lawn and garden section is a disaster and the only people who I have seen working there have been neither helpful nor friendly. What should have been an easy, pleasant experience has turned into a weeks long frustration mostly due to the staff's incompetence. read more

On June 28,2019 I purchased a product online from Home Depot. As of July 19, 2019 I have not received the product. I had called them several times to see what the issue was and every time for several days in a row, I received the same "song and dance"...."it is at the local terminal waiting to be shipped with a shortage" (meaning not all the product was in the order). I was also informed I would be refunded the full amount and would receive notice by email. I admit the email was quick, but the refund was no where near the full purchase price. Therefore Home Depot I will be boycotting you not because your owned supports our President, but because you-Home Depot provide a poor, poor product and poor customer service. My money will not be happily spent elsewhere. I Spent of $9,000.00 last year at Home Depot....never again. read more

This experience would be 0 stars if allowed‍ . I always used to make fun of people who write bad reviews but here I go. My cousin and I came here to get paint and a few storage bins for camping. As we were walking through the store at least 4 grown men passed by making comments like "oh you sure you girls got that?" "If you carried it this way.." like is it SO UNUSUAL TO see two young women in Home Depot??? Without a man?? We felt insulted but whatever not too big of a deal. Got our paint off to self checkout we went. Scanned everything but apparently I didn't scan the right barcode and sent the self checkout computer into a frenzy. The whole screen turned orange followed by the screen shouting "customer needs assistance" after the first 5 times of hearing it on repeat. It was starting to get accessive. Especially when there were TWO team members just chatting away 2 feet away from us. My cousin and I looked at eachother, now making this quick trip to the Home Depot running on almost an hour. Not one of the workers seemed to care. One actually said we should just walk out. Lol. After 15, I counted. FIFTEEN "customer needs assistance" SHOUTS FROM THe screen this woman waltz's over as if we are interrupting HER conversation?? Like??? She said "what do you need?" Really snappy. Didn't get a good vibe. She procceded to unlock the screen and then told us we mis scanned the bar code (which we already knew). Followed by "um is there ANYTHING else I can help you with?" I'm using caps for emphasis. Her tone was very snappy. We finally left and I was so angry I've never felt so insulted in my life. I needed some plumbing material to install a faucet. As I was looking, a guy asked if I needed help. When I said yes, he came and guided me through the material available and went with me to different aisles and suggested different solutions in a very polite and engaging way. It was really customer service at its best. As I continued looking another guy also offered to help and suggested another solution. I'm sorry I didn't catch the names of the two guys who helped. Today I went into Home Depot to purchase a spark plug for my weed trimmer. While I was searching for correct plug this sales associate comes up and asks what I was looking for. I told her I needed a 2 cycle spark plug. She asked if I have the old one. I told her no. She stated well then that won't do. How can you find the correct spark plug without the old one in hand. Clearly, this sales person did not know what she was doing so I attempted to ignore her and continue looking in the "spark plug book". She stood there staring at me and started to cough I moved away from her. I then pulled out my smart phone and continued to try and find the correct one. After her coughing fit she came up to me and I stated see here this is the spark plug I need. Is this in stock? She pulled out her phone and after 3 minutes she said this particular one is not in stock. After looking at the alternative spark plugs again I was reading the back of one when she said this is the one. I looked at the package and said good. She had the audacity to then tell me she knew all along this was the spark plug I needed. I looked at her and decided to just walk away. This associate had no idea what she was doing, rude and arrogant. She needs to be removed from this department. read more

Installed services - I paid for installed services to put in the new front door I purchased from the Penfield Home Depot. In the first run, the installer failed in his attempt to put up the brick mold and trim, instead he used a 2x3 that looked awful and hid the molding that should have been used. Failed to caulk according to the door manufacture's instructions. Second visit, corrected some of these issues but still not right according to the door manufactures' rep that did an evaluation of the job. The door was also installed with brush hair in between the glass panes. The manufacture has offered to send out a new door for replacement and Home Depot expects me (not at all handy) to take down the current defective door and replace with the new one being shipped. I paid them the big bucks because they I expected them to do the job right and stand behind the work ordered. They didn't. Good news - my in-laws cancelled the kitchen remodel that they had been working on with one of the Home Depot stores after I shared this with them. So at least they won't have the same bad service. Why can't they just do it right instead of adding more aggravation to my life - I paid them so I would't have these issues. Not feeling the love! read more
