I can only review Bristol's Garden Center based on my experience shopping for indoor and outdoor…read moreplants, as well as vegetables and herbs for my garden - not for any kind of landscaping work - but I found the selection available to be quite extensive. Didn't really need any assistance or service while shopping, mainly because I was shopping with my mother (before Mother's Day) and we were just trying to find things we liked and sounded interesting. The employee helping us at checkout was... seemingly indifferent to being there... but it's fine. In terms of value, we found everything to generally be within a reasonable price range - and I managed to find some really fun items, including strawberry mint (excited to use it in a cocktail) and an heirloom cherokee purple tomato plant. I also picked up a lovely little variegated string of hearts succulent and a couple other plants to add to my collection. Couldn't find a couple of the items I was looking for though (a friend asked me to see if I could find a Chinese money plant - and considering they're fairly common, I was surprised that Bristol's didn't have any), but one location can't have everything, ya know? Anyway, Bristol's was lovely and I'm sure I'll be back during future plant shopping adventures.

I wish I could say something nice other than that the people were friendly but I left disappointed…read more I had recently moved to Rochester, and this place is right by the nail salon I like, so I thought "perfect - near the house, near the nail salon...let's give them a try!" I made an appointment and was told that for a bath and nails it would be about 2 hours. Because my dog is blind I'm kind of a nervous dog mom, so I dropped her off, then set a time for 2 hours...no call. Gave it another half hour - nothing by, so I called to check in (especially bc another review had brought up issues with them getting to their dog and communication). They told me that she was ready, so I went and picked her up. She seemed a little damp so I figured they'd dried her as much as possible without scaring the hell out of her. Got home and my boyfriend was like "she doesn't smell like she got a bath" which is weird for a post-groom. Then I took a closer look at her nails - they were still long and her dew claw seemed way too long and curled. This just wasn't acceptable but they'd already gotten my money and I really didn't want to call or go back. Aside from not feeling like my dog was properly groomed, I really wasn't impressed with the place itself. Because it's a "pet spa" (which I use loosely based on my experience) and a doggy daycare type place, the smell of dog feces/urine overpowers the smell of the spa. And it just didn't seem like a very professional business to be honest. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Maybe as a last resort but that's even after a bath outdoors with the hose.
