Val does a beautiful job with her floral arrangements, all of the flower arrangements I have purchased have been stunning. There's also specialty gifts available for purchase from plants to candles and everything imaginable in between. If you need a unique Christmas gift, this is the place to stop buy and shop. I'm in California, but I recently ordered some flowers and a stuffed animal for a friend in the area who is currently grieving the loss of a family member. I ordered online on a Saturday night (the website was easy to navigate and order from) and they arrived quickly to her the next day. I have not been to the physical location so I can't speak on that. I ordered some flowers from here online for a friends birthday. Considering other florists her delivery fees are less and since I had to contact her she got back to me in a good time frame. Yes flowers cost money I get that and these are locally sourced blooms. I had hoped for a bit more for what we spent but my friend loves them and that's what's important. Support local and when I order again I'll be a little more specific. read more

Sungrove Blossoms is the best of the best in Rochester. Her arrangements are 10/10 every single time. She adds in the most unique flowers that you don't get from any other florists. The service is incredible. The owner is so sweet and her creativity with these arrangements is incredible. She uses sustainable packaging, supports local causes and the community, and so much more so not only are you getting a beautiful arrangement but you're supporting a small business with morals and integrity. The shop and gifts are absolutely beautiful too but the real show stopper are the arrangements. You can also get it all customized to your liking. I needed to send flowers for an important anniversary but being across the country in CA it was hard to find a florist I could trust with my order. I've ordered flowers from other florist in the past and there was unfortunately always a big difference between what was ordered and what was actually sent. I'm therefore so so thankful to have found this local business through the web!! Not only was the ordering process so seamless, they took my notes and created such a beautiful, modern arrangement. The choices of flowers and the combination of colors were sophisticated and showcased the beauty of flowers - which is the reason why we all send flowers! Exceptional service!! I ordered a petite bouquet for my niece's 10th birthday at noon and by 4pm they were delivered to her door - she included snap dragons, a Lily and what looked like a budding raunuculous (may not have been, it's hard to get 10 year olds to hold a phone still on ft!) but she absolutely LOVED THEM. Her parents were wowed by Val too and thought she was great and made the delivery so special. Flowers were $45 in total - I wasn't able to snap a screenshot of the bouquet but as a flower lover, I was really happy with the product!! I ordered a bouquet from Sungrove Blossoms for my mom, who just underwent a major surgery. It arrived on time, within my requested delivery time window, & was a GORGEOUS bouquet!! She received several floral arrangements from various florists around town that day & this one was the show-stopper! A real "wow!" The reason for my mediocre rating is that the bouquet began its decline almost immediately. Within days, my mom was removing dead flowers to try to keep it looking good. I'm currently visiting her & there still are beautiful bouquets around her home, but the one from me is in the kitchen trash can. A real disappointment after spending $100+. read more

I was recently introduced to Sungrove Blossoms from an Instagram story, and was super excited to see a florist doing her own thing on the West side of Rochester. The owner, Val Foote, is an extremely passionate local gardener & florist, with a conscious effort to integrate eco-friendly, sustainable practices to her craft. Val often upcycles packaging, and is a diligent recycler as seen on some of her own business pages. Val grows many of her own blooms featured in her bouquets and subscriptions, and works with other local flower farmers out of Byron-Bergen, Lyndonville and the Finger Lakes. Most of her bouquets seasonally are completely locally sourced. I was raving about some of the photos that were being added to social media, excited about something close to home that was run by a Rochester Woman, when a close friend of mine surprised me with a floral subscription from her for my birthday. The floral subscriptions are an amazing deal. Every Sunday, you receive a mason jar full of that weeks' blooms on your doorstep. You can choose 5 Sundays from the season to receive (or your recipient) to receive their bouquets. They put the mason jar from the previous delivery outside on delivery day to continue recycling materials. On the last day of your subscription, you can keep the last jar (or continue to reuse it in a new subscription!). Some local places are slightly outside of Val and her team's radius to be able to successfully deliver. Those outside of the area have other pick up options, as specified on her website: Westside Delivery to Gates, Chili, Churchville, Spencerport, and surrounding area within ~8 miles of Gates, 14624 ONLY Nonlocal Delivery to Downtown Rochester, Eastside towns, and anywhere outside ~8 miles of Gates, 14624 Pickup available from my home studio in Gates The pricing is extremely reasonable in my opinion. For 5 bouquets it is only $125, or $100 if you choose the local pick up option. You are getting locally sourced, gorgeous blooms, supporting the local landscape, and they are going to be a lot more carefully crafted and unique than anything you would pick up at Wegmans. I love the idea of consumable gifting. Additionally, there are options to pay extra for double blooms if you would like a larger arrangement, or a deluxe package to receive more than 5 weeks in your subscription. Lastly, Val's work and testimonials speak for themselves on the Sungrove Blossoms Instagram page. If I knew about her sooner, I would have used her for my own wedding. After losing a beloved pet, I received one of the most gorgeous floral arrangements from my sister. She had been looking for a local florist (after several disappointing arrangements) and found Val Foote, owner of Sungrove Blossoms. Besides her amazing artistry skills as a floral designer and gardener, Val utilizes local flower farmers and is an eco-friendly florist, and one of the most creative individuals I know. Sungrove Blossoms quickly became my go to for any celebratory and otherwise floral needs. After seeing first hand and viewing all of Val's instragram posts, we made an appointment with Val to discuss my daughter's wedding ideas. Visions of her bouquet were shared, along with thoughts on floral colors, but otherwise my daughter totally left everything in Val's hands, saying that she trusted that what she created would be exactly what she wanted.
