First visit here for me. I was really surprised when I walked in. This place was huge. It was…read moreexactly what I was looking for. It honors a lot of religions and spiritual practices. I had my husband with me, so I couldn't do the kind of walkthrough I wanted to do. But I made sure to check out their candle selection. I was really glad I did, they have every candle imaginable. Their prices were affordable. Definitely less expensive than ordering online. Plus it's nice to walk around and see all the options. They have an entire crystal and mineral section. I could have been in that store for hours. It had a family environment, parents shopping with their kids. If your kids are into metals, rocks, or crystals this spot is it. I wasn't looking but I'm sure they have D&D stuff and other fun gam I liked the store a lot. Some of these mystic shops have a witchy vibe, which isn't my thing. This place felt more wholesome. Something us old ancestral witches like. Lol I ended up buying several different types of candles, sage, and a Rose quartz for my meditation room. Next time, I go back. I will update with some pictures.

And if you're the owner of a metaphysical shop, do your research as to not sell goods that may be seen as disrespectful to large groups of people. Long version: Listen. You can get what you need most likely if you're spiritual from this shop, BUT-- there's a seeming lack of social responsibility that should concern my fellow respectful witches. They sell white sage and native/African cultural practice tools that are not appropriate for mass consumption. (Outside of people of those descents.) In their 7 day candle section there was an 'Indian power candle' referring to natives, along with the white smudge sticks and other tools of that nature. It is my understanding based upon the actual words of Native American people in the spiritual and witchcraft community that native sourced dream catchers and such ARE an appropriate thing to sell as long as actual Native Americans are the source of these goods and being compensated, but white sage is both unsustainable and not meant to be used outside of their closed practices. And using a native person as a mascot on your candle with the wrong terminology is beyond inappropriate.

Cleo and Kin is one of my current faves for gift shopping, jewelry, vegan leather purses and…read morespecialty food items. This adorable and very well-curated boutique is nestled in Schoen Place, sort of "down & behind" Olives, and across from the craft brewery. The window decor gives the impression of a spa, with soothing colors and lots of soft things like scarves, sweaters, felt hats and blankets. I've been there 4 times in the last couple of months, buying gifts for others and clothes and jewelry for myself. For others, I love the gourmet nut butters, cookbooks, kitchen gadgets and cocktail items - perfect for creating custom gift baskets. For myself, I have purchased quite a bit of jewelry (earrings and a necklace), some hair clips, a couple jumpsuits, and an awesome teal-colored vegan leather purse with a removable bag inside which doubles as a second purse. They also have a whole wall of cute greeting cards, and on the second floor a large assortment of baby items - from clothes to books and toys to teething rings. I really feel like you could find something for everyone on your list! Each time I've been in I have also found the owner and staff to be friendly and helpful, which always feels welcoming!

Everything in the store is vegan - from clothes to candles to cards to plants and basically anything else "aesthetically pleasing" you can dream up...I am hooked! The clothes are adorable and I plan to shop here for my future gift needs. Owner Brenna brought Cleo + Kin here from San Diego and brings her own special vision (AND her own fragrances and candles!) to this boutique. It's in the newly popping section of Schoen Place with Copper Leaf, Dolce Cupcakery, and Label 7. I highly recommend a stop by when you're in the Pittsford area!

What a hidden-in-plain-sight hidden gem. I've probably run and walked past this shop dozens of times. This store is seemingly limitless with rooms on rooms and themes on themes. There's so much to explore and it is SO relaxing. I saw MANY cute new gift ideas for friends and family. From a beautiful baking dish specifically for brie cheese at $30 to wonderful jewelry boxes with meaningful quotes, I know where I am headed next time I have a "I really don't know what to get that person" conundrum. The staff member helping me out was amazing and I can't wait to get back for more local gifts by (primarily) local artisans.

They also had a fair amount of jewelry. On our recent visit it appears that their inventory is more heavily skewed toward jewelry. Yes they still have plenty of other options but not like the past from what we observed which limits it's appeal for us. Still is nice to see this eclectic gift shop still in business all of these years.
