First visit here for me. I was really surprised when I walked in. This place was huge. It was exactly what I was looking for. It honors a lot of religions and spiritual practices. I had my husband with me, so I couldn't do the kind of walkthrough I wanted to do. But I made sure to check out their candle selection. I was really glad I did, they have every candle imaginable. Their prices were affordable. Definitely less expensive than ordering online. Plus it's nice to walk around and see all the options. They have an entire crystal and mineral section. I could have been in that store for hours. It had a family environment, parents shopping with their kids. If your kids are into metals, rocks, or crystals this spot is it. I wasn't looking but I'm sure they have D&D stuff and other fun gam I liked the store a lot. Some of these mystic shops have a witchy vibe, which isn't my thing. This place felt more wholesome. Something us old ancestral witches like. Lol I ended up buying several different types of candles, sage, and a Rose quartz for my meditation room. Next time, I go back. Short review: If you're a witch that cares about ethics and respecting other cultures, maybe think twice! And if you're the owner of a metaphysical shop, do your research as to not sell goods that may be seen as disrespectful to large groups of people. Long version: Listen. You can get what you need most likely if you're spiritual from this shop, BUT-- there's a seeming lack of social responsibility that should concern my fellow respectful witches. They sell white sage and native/African cultural practice tools that are not appropriate for mass consumption. (Outside of people of those descents.) In their 7 day candle section there was an 'Indian power candle' referring to natives, along with the white smudge sticks and other tools of that nature. It is my understanding based upon the actual words of Native American people in the spiritual and witchcraft community that native sourced dream catchers and such ARE an appropriate thing to sell as long as actual Native Americans are the source of these goods and being compensated, but white sage is both unsustainable and not meant to be used outside of their closed practices. And using a native person as a mascot on your candle with the wrong terminology is beyond inappropriate. read more

While shopping I asked if there was a restroom. Initially I was told to go next door. When I headed there, an associate yelled to me that they had not noticed that I had a limp, but could actually use the store restroom. While I did, the associate stood there. Once back in the store another staff loudly verbalized to other team members that "walking problems" were an acceptable reason to let a customer use their bathroom but to try not to make it overly obvious that staff accompany customers to stop them from stealing. read more

I have lived all over the country as well as buying wholesale and the number one thing I can say about Mythic Treasures is their markup is not much more than wholesale unlike some places charging and arm and leg for stuff Mythic Treasures has truly fair prices some stuff I would rather get online still but alot of it is great. I feel bad because every time I am in there I see kids stealing so instead of buying everything I want I follow kids around like a creepy person to make them not steal and I am like wtf am I doing I don't even work here but it's really uncool that is happening and I wish people would realize when doing that, you have a one of a kind shop not found very many places let alone in Rochester and you should not do that because putting it out of business would be a damn shame. Whilst a lot of stock stays the same there is always new stock as well which makes it worth it to check out often, There is often new Gargoyles which are my thing and statues but their incense stays pretty much the same so you know you can get what you want and it will be fresh as they keep it well stocked and rotated. I love that they carry so much for artisans and local artists as well. The Tarot selection is better than any store I have ever been and the jewelry section is phenomenal. read more

Nice occult and pagan gift shop. A very large selection of items. We go often for various minerals and crystals, incense, etc. Prices can be hit or miss depending on the items - some things are priced high above their quality, others are very fair. Mythic Treasures is my favorite shop for my spiritual needs. They have a huge selection of products at fair prices (sage, oils, intention candles, tarot cards, crystals...pretty much everything you'd ever need!). I love browsing through their inventory, as there's always something interesting and new to find. I bought my first tarot deck here and it's served me well, and I also frequently shop here for candles and sage. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of all types of spirituality needs, so definitely ask them questions if you're not sure of what you need, or just have any general questions. They also have frequent tarot readings for I think around $20. read more

Looking for Californian white sage smudge sticks? How big? Are you an incense enthusiast? How about crystals? Mythic Treasures is a fantastic stop for all and more! Lordy knows how much I crush on crystal and stone jewelry. I've found some of my favorite bracelets, including a pretty tiger's eye beaded one with an owl pendant. They also have a variety of mala prayer beads and pendulums. One of the things I enjoy when I visit the shop is to look at all the loose crystals and stones. They even have flash light pens to better analyze your choices! A number of bins have info cards with the benefits and properties of the crystal or stone. The higher quality ones such as moldavite and large quartz clusters are locked but on display. Same goes for the jewelry and collectibles. Other products you can find yet to be mentioned are salt lamps, tarot decks, prayer candles, votive candles, crystal grids, dried herbs, kava kava powder and much more. They are also available for readings. Not sure what the types are but I recommend you call ahead. I love their selection of smudge sticks and incense cones. Some of my favorites are the large Californian white sage stick ($8), 7 chakra stick ($7) and the Green Tree brand incense Palo santo & Californian white sage cones ($2.99 a box)...abalone shells are also available from time to time. Their regular size sage sticks are $3. Anyhoot. Probably my favourite local shop! Recently they launched a shoplocalli store to provide you with your energy clearing needs same day delivery during the current pandemic. PS...my newest favourite product...sage soap! I absolutely adore this place . It is located in Village Gate Square ,and the size of the shop is impressive . There is an amazing array of incense , many brands and scents to choose from , I could have spent an hour making a decision so I grabbed my favorite and moved on . The selection of tarot cards was equally as impressive , so many beautiful decks to choose from . The selection of crystals seemed to go on forever . When choosing your stones, you will writer down the name of the stone and the price on a pad of paper that is placed in this area for you , to take to the counter when ready to check out. There was a small to medium display of dried herbs available of which I selected some dried rose petals, lavender, calendula and lemongrass which I will be using in my handmade soap and candles. My partner found some skull items and enjoyed the good selection of Buddha statues . There are too many interesting objects here to name , which is why we like to stop in each time we are in the area. read more

Calling all my spooky babies... Mythic Treasures is a unique shop in the Village Gate that offers a wide variety of products and services. As you first walk in, there is all of their incense and sage on the right side. I was able to purchase 6-7 types of incense, sage, and a coffin style burner/holder for $22. The staff is very knowledgeable about the mythical purposes of the items in their shop, smudging, crystals, etc. You can also get tarot readings and reiki healing sessions here by some of the staff. I have been here several times, and you can also sign up for their rewards for future discounts. I have my eye on some of their gorgeous gemstone jewelry for a future purchase. read more

If you are looking for crystals and anything dealing with mystical you stop here. This place has it all. As you wind through each display, things get more and more interesting. They have the most varied incense selection around. From Sage, herbs to palo santo, it's all there! They have lovely figures of angels, Buddha, occult symbols. When ever I'm in the village gate, I always make sure to stop in and see what is new and why crystals are calling to me. The selection of items here will easily cost you at least 30 minutes browsing, and possibly another 10 minutes to have a conversation with one of the staff members. They are always so helpful, extremely knowledgeable about every category in the store. Every item in the store is at a fair price, sometimes a better deal than Archimage if you are looking for certain stones. This is also a fantastic place to go gift shopping if you have someone in your life who enjoys these types of items. I have often put together gift bags for my friends here. What I mostly go to this shop for is the stones, crystals...but something else always catches my eye and a quick in and out trip turns into many laps around the store browsing, spending more than I intended to. p.s.
