I actually did not see the flowers, but on customer service alone, this place deserves 4 stars. I live in Connecticut, but some of my family members still live in Naples and Honeoye. These are tough spots for flower delivery. So many florists have come and gone in the small area. I was happy to find Rockcastle and to see that they were willing to deliver to my sister's most remote location in Honeoye. It was not an easy house to find and I give kudos to the woman he navigated there. She had me on the phone while she confirmed the location. It meant a lot that she really wanted to double check and get it right. My sister seriously lives in the middle of nowhere and even with Amazon drivers it is a 50/50. Needed to send my mom flowers. Rockcastle Florist's website was easy to use (plus I could login from the last time I used them), I searched and found what I liked, that I knew my mom would like, and checkout was also easy. During checkout I was able to select a delivery date and time (range of times) and I was able to use PayPay which was a plus! My mom texted this morning when the flowers arrived. What an amazing piece of floral art we received for the funeral of my husband on the 30th of March of this year. I was looking for something as unique as he was and the picture was perfect. I ordered flowers for my aunt who was at a nearby hospital. The morning of the delivery, the florist called me saying that she checked my aunt's name at the hospital and she couldn't receive flowers yet because she was in ICU. But the florist said that she would call the hospital each morning to see when my aunt was moved to a private room so the flowers could be delivered. What service! Have always used Rockcastle for quality of product. Scheduled and paid for express delivery to my wife's work to surprise her as things have not been great lately for her and we don't usually do Valentine's Day gifts. Emailed at 12pm to see if they were going to be delivered as requested, called store at 2:15pm to find out they would be able to deliver till around 4pm, she leaves work at 2:30pm thus my reason for paying to express delivery. Not that it matters but $360 is not a small order and I would have expected some communication from Rockcastle about the delivery issues they were having before I called. Guess my business isn't worth a phone call so I will not be using them moving forward. read more

I ordered a unicorn flower arrangement for my ten year old granddaughter, who had shattered her lower leg in a bike accident and was facing a complicated surgery. I upgraded the order to the Premium arrangement which was in the colors of blue and purple on the website. We also discussed the desired colors of blue and purple flowers during the ordering process over the phone, as these are my granddaughter's favorite colors. I ordered flowers for a funeral. Easy process of viewing online then going to shop to finalize order. I was able to change out some colors from what was on the website. Delivery was to be by 1 pm but actually arrived at 830 am. At the funeral home I discovered that some of the filler flowers in the arrangement were droopy and a little brown on some of the edges. It wasn't terrible but less than perfect for the price paid. I think the flowers were hydrangeas. Since the arrangement arrived so early maybe it was put together the day before. read more

I ordered by phone a flower arrangement for a friends funeral. Specifically told them I needed delivery between 12:00 - 12:30 on a Saturday because no one would be there before that. The flowers, along with 3 other orders, were delivered at 10:30. There was no one there yet so they put the flowers as per church orders on the office porch. I received an email confirmation that they had been delivered early but not as to the location of where they delivered them. I was very disheartened to see that my arrangement was not there with the others. When I called to speak to the florist they blamed everyone but themselves. It was the churches fault for no one being there to the person who took the order NOT putting the requested delivery time on the order. Very unhappy!!!! My wedding flowers 5 years ago were awesome, but for this last order, I was very disappointed. I called and ordered ordered a wrist corsage and a bouquet of flowers explaining these were for my daughter's baby shower and she was having a girl. My husband picked up the flowers and brought home a hand held bouquet instead of a bouquet in a vase that had 12 random flowers that did not look good together with pink, yellow and white instead of a vase of pink flowers with white accents like baby's breath. Who orders a hand held bouquet for a baby shower? I also got a wrist corsage with elastic so tight my daughter could not wear it. Perhaps I failed to specify the wrist corsage was not for the baby. I put the hand held bouquet in a vase and told all my guests, many from Greece this is the work of Rockcastle Florist. read more

Beautiful arrangements, yes. Beautiful people and prices, no. It's not hard to make flowers pretty... they already are pretty. I made an appointment with someone to discuss floral arrangements for my wedding last year. We had an appointment, but still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. At that time my husband and I were given a book and were asked to look through it. When the women came back 10 minutes later, she offered no help to come up with the arrangements we wanted. It was basically choose out of the book or leave. She didn't offer suggestions for alternative flowers, sizes, or color. I told her I had a budget of no more than $1000 for the flowers. She added up the bouquets and boutineers and was already over budget. She then asked if she should keep going to see the final result. I said yes. She said she'll finish it up later and call me back. She never called back. $1000 for flowers is no cheap price tag... apparently to them it is and not worth their time. I would have been willing to spend a little more had they been nice and worked with me. I took my business to Justice Florist in Hilton and have recommended 2 other brides to do the same. read more

I use Rockcastle for any of my arrangements in Rochester. Using the online ordering (or by phone sometimes) I expected a bit more than I saw in their retail location on Long Pond. The last time I actually walked into Rockcastle they were at their older and smaller location. Maybe I was there after a busy few days but the selection seemed a bit picked over and bare in the dept of fresh flowers. However, there was a decent selection of house plants and several people picking up custom orders. I think their prices are reasonable but the bigger Wegmans have just as good of a selection in my opinion. read more

Beautiful flower arrangement and amazing employees! I called about a birthday bouquet for same-day delivery, and the staff member I talked to could not have been nicer, especially considering I was calling last minute. She was so helpful and wrote out exactly what I asked (inside jokes and all) for the note card. I called around 12:45 and the flowers were delivered by 2:45. They emailed my receipt and then a delivery confirmation, so I felt very informed every step of the way. I also like that they have "local-only" floral arrangement options, which made it feel extra special knowing that someone had personally crafted my sister's bouquet and it wasn't mass-produced.
