I'm in between back surgeries and I needed a cart and the only one I found was out in the parking lot and it was dead. I made it all the way back to customer service Derek was working and he made arrangements to get one that was charged. That was a wonderful blessing and then we looked up what I needed. He went and got it he followed me out to my car. He loaded it and drove the cart back into the store. We ordered an appliance and waited two weeks for a delivery. Our window was 3-7pm. They called at 815pm stating they wouldn't deliver. We called customer service and they said they wouldn't add us to a delivery next day and we would have to call back in a week to get back on the schedule. Customer service was very rude. Orded a snow blower from Home Depot online, next day, black Monday it was less, I ordered again & canceled prior order, notified that cancelation didn't go thru just return it or refuse. According to Home Depot Tracking both hit my town on 12-11-24 & 12-12, second order was scheduled for home delivery on 12-12. Fast forward to 12-24-24 more than 15 contacts with apologies and an offer of a credit of $250, NO snow blower. apparently the first order was shipped but not the second. Home Depot tells the local delivery, Temco, to substitute the first order for the second which they had but instead returned. I haven't wanted to post a review for Home Depot in many years of shopping them, until today. I know anyone who has stepped inside the big overwhelming store with a list in hand only to not find what your looking for. I know there are always more than one way of doing things and I personally have spent hours trying to lay out a puzzle in the aisle only to get so discouraged that I'm ready to squash the project and call it quits. Now my all time favorite saying about Home Depot is called the duck and dive routine. Yeah you know what I mean. You see them so they duck and dive to avoid helping you. Don't say it's never happened cause we all know it has. I myself was employed by a retail chain that demanded customer service 100% of the time. I have a hard time shopping a store that doesn't have the same drive. So my story goes like this. I walk into Home Depot Redmond Oregon and with list in hand I get to the plumbing aisle ready to battle the norm. I am pleased no i am so impressed with the sales associate handed off to me by a very very kind associate. Automatically I'm looking at my helper saying with my eyes rolling, here we go again. Wrong I was, wow I can't say enough good about Steve S. as I stood in front of him and derogatory said I'm trying to figure out a plumbing scenario and bam!!! Steve went into action and within what seemed like seconds he was handing me exactly what I needed and offering alternative ways and I was probably in shock for the most part, because I said out loud, don't you have other stuff to do as i am used to the here and good luck bye bye now. Nope Steve says I AM HERE TO HELP YOU, and again I wasn't sure if at that point I was still in Home Depot. Sooo I have a renewed outlook of Home Depot. I want everyone to know that Steve S. S fence installer here in Central Oregon and in 5 years i they have had a pick up order from the lumber department ready and correct when i showed up to pick it up once. Prior to going to Lowe's we stopped here to check out tile and also some backboard materials for my mom's kitchen. They didn't have exactly what we wanted, so the service desk called Lowe's for us so we didn't have to make a special trip. What nice folks they told us that Lowe's did indeed have what we were looking for and we were on our way to their competition. I'm sure this happens frequently back and forth between the two places. Nice to see they are able to work with each other and more importantly a customer or potential customer. I'm sure I'll be back again to pick up more items. read more

Can this store please get more competent employees in the window department? It's incredibly frustrating speaking to someone who is full of "ummm's" and "uhhh's"..while they slllooowwwlllyyy process what you are calling about...as they try to track down your order. Which they then ask if they can call you back because they're slammed and have a line of customers. HD needs to better staff these departments and train their employees to act like professionals on the phone. We spend thousands of dollars at both central Oregon locations weekly, with our remodel company. This is unacceptable. If I could give a ZERO I would!! I ordered a countertop and had my delivery date arranged. That day comes and no countertop! I call and they tell me it was damaged in shipping so the cancelled my order and refunded my money. No call to me about it at all! They told me I could reorder it but I'll have to wait another month to get it!! My bathroom is torn apart because I was remodeling and this was the last piece I needed and since it was coming today I started working on pulling the old vanity out and preparing for the new one. When using the Home Depot it's all about the luck of the draw. I was lucky enough one day to get a fellow named Derek who knew the entire store by heart. He took the time to walk me from lumber all the way into the nursery department looking for a particular sign I needed. He looked through a book, he looked on the Home Depot website and we both decided that Home Depot did not have a particular item I needed. He saved me a lot of time and it was very pleasant to talk to him. Another time on a Saturday night I got lucky again with an employee name Stephen. He picked out lumber for us and he was as meticulous as we were. Another good experience at Home Depot which is rare. Just got lucky. read more

This Home Depot location is by far the worst I have had to try to work with. The staff are anti-helpful. I'm from out of town and ordered a shower pan 2 weeks ago, still waiting for it to arrive, but when the home owner called to check on when it would be in they told him I (the contractor) picked it up last week. Don't waste your time and come to Home Depot. Plumbing department is not staffed, no one can cut pipe they say. The PVC pipe fittings shelves are bare. The wrong fittings are in the boxes of the out of stock parts. The lumber I wanted was scraps picked over that was either warped or checked. One cashier at 6pm , no self checkout. Spare yourself and visit Miller Lumber and Mesher plumbing local in Redmond and get service and the same prices while all is in stock. Drove to Redmond and went to Lowes, the guy said they couldn't deliver for over a week, left. Went to Home Depot, John helped us. So very friendly, knowledgeable and we bought and they delivered the next day, free and took the old one. Couldn't have been easier. Have shopped there regularly for a vacation home. Went to the store to find a couple of 3 way light switches. Slots were empty and the clerk looked up the bar code on his little scanner. indicated they were in stock but couldn't located them. I have been a customer of Home Depot in Redmond Oregon since the day they opened. I was proud of the fact that not only do they sell great products but they also give a discount to Veterans. This is of a great help to me being on a VA pension. I would just show them my VAMC card, get the discount and be on my merry way. That is until today. I was told by the manager that they have cracked down on Veterans discounts and are now only providing the discount for service connected Veterans. I was not injured while in the service. While I am covered by the VAMC I am not service connected. Today will be the last time I shop at Home Depot. Until Home Depot understands that not every Veteran is a Service Connected Veteran (meaning injured while in the military) and drops its policy of only giving discounts to Service Connected Veterans, I will be taking my business to their largest competitor. While I am not making light of those injured while on duty, I firmly believe that the discount should be made available to ALL Veterans. Home Depot's competitor still gives a discount to ALL Veterans. I posted this same review over at the Home Depot's Facebook page and noticed that another Veteran posted a negative review just two weeks ago complaining about how he was treated there. The Bend store did not have all the fixtures I needed, however they were able to work with the Redmond store to be able to get me what I needed on time. First, we went into homedepot to buy a washer and dryer. One that was in stock and wouldn't take too long to deliver. We stood around forever while associates chit chatted away with one another and not a single one asking if we need any help as I stood at the order desk for appliances. Now I used to work for Home Depot in another state and that is just awful customer service. Second I finally go track down the manager on duty and as I'm about to ask him to help us someone steps between him and I. He grabs the appliance associate, who I would say was very helpful and lovely. While looking for our washer and dryer we found ones that had 500 of them in stock. We paid we got the delivery date. Three days before we are supposed to get the order they call leave a voicemail saying the order is delayed. So I call back and they tell me that they are on back order! Um excuse me? I ordered these specific ones because there was 500 in stock when I bought it! She had no way to answer me. So now we go from a sept. 17 delivery date to October 8. Not only did the lady not help me figure out something we could do. She also couldn't tell me how in the world they're on back order all of the sudden. So either someone in the shipping messed up or the sales women did when she told me there was 500 left. I always think of great customer service when I go into a Home Depot and this was let me down big time. Not just because of the mess up but the fact that we stood there for about a half hour waiting and then looking for associates. Awful. read more

Had to go buy a snow shovel after receiving 6 inches of snow one night and decided to give Home Depot some business since I fear they will be pushed out by Lowe's one day. It was pretty empty that morning but I must have been offered assistance by 10 different associates. Every time someone saw me, they offered to help. The employees at the Redmond Home Depot are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are willing to help you find what you are looking for. The guys in the plumbing and electrical department have helped me out a couple of times with advise they really seem to know their stuff. HOWEVER DO NOT BUY YOUR APLIANCES OR OTHER LARGE PURCHASES HERE. Home Depot does not offer any price protection on Appliances. Lowes does offer 30 day price protection. I purchased a Samsung Fridge from Redmond Home Depot 3 weeks ago the Fridge just delivered last week. In this week Ad the exact Fridge I just purchased was nearly $400 dollars less. When I called the store and talked to the manager and asked to be credited for the difference to my account he said he could not do anything for me. Home Depot does not offer price protection. I asked about returning the fridge and was told I only had 72 hrs to do that and that time had passed so I was out of luck.
