I've been shopping here for the last 5 years for replacements and upgrades for my home. I've always had a positive experience, so not much to complain about. The service is declining a bit, but still valid for my needs. I just purchased a "new" Ryobi drill for full price but realized when I got home the package had already been opened before and the clear tape used on it was not original. The glue to hold the cardboard package shut had already been opened. Why are they selling used tools as new for full price!?!! I could also see some metallic flakes on the chuck of the drill. This is the closest Home Depot to home for us and we have never had an experience that let us down. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable with each of their departments, and are always happy to help/ask you if you need anything. Store has always been kept clean and well stocked/organized. There is a large selection of different brands here and the app makes it easy to check what is/isn't available in store. Pricing has always been a bit cheaper than Lowe's, which is why this has always been my preferred chain to go to. read more

I've never had to go to such lengths to purchase a tool as I did at this Home Depot. I needed an angle grinder, so I asked a Home Depot employee for assistance. The first employee I approached was an older man who was already helping another customer unlock an item. Since he was in the same aisle, I thought he'd be the right person to ask. He told me he was busy but would page someone else to help me. A few seconds later, I heard the intercom announce a call for customer assistance. Ten minutes went by, and still, no one showed up. I started searching for another employee, but everyone on the floor seemed preoccupied with tasks like stocking shelves. I went to the front of the store to request help again, and once more, they paged for assistance. Five minutes passed, and still nothing. Frustrated, I continued searching the aisles and found the same older employee in the plumbing section. I politely asked him for help with the tool I needed, and he responded, "What tool?" I reminded him it was the same tool I had asked about 15 minutes earlier. He then told me to ask someone in the power tools section, even though the tool I needed was just one aisle over. I explained that I had been waiting for assistance and no one had come, and asked him again to help me. He refused, saying he couldn't because he might get called back to the plumbing aisle. The whole process would have taken less than a minute. He eventually followed me to the next aisle but didn't open the tool section. Instead, he pointed out another employee a few aisles over and claimed that was the person to ask. Frustrated, I told him that the other employee had been busy with other customers for the past 15 minutes and that it wouldn't take long to help me. He responded with a dismissive "nope, sorry" and went back to his section. I was left standing in the main aisle, waiting for the "tool guy" to free up. After a few more minutes, he finally became available and assisted me. I understand that employees are assigned to specific departments, but when a customer has been waiting over 20 minutes for a tool to be unlocked, it seems logical to have another employee step in for a minute or two. Maybe it's against Home Depot policy, or maybe that older man in the plumbing section just wasn't willing to go out of his way to help a customer when he clearly could have. After this experience, I'm definitely leaning towards an Amazon purchase next time I need power tools. read more

This store is ran terribly. They say they have a process of where stuff gets set when it's pulled. I waited 20 minutes for them not to locate it and then go and have to chase it down. Then the manager continues to bring the wrong item back to the front. So I had to wait longer. It's crazy that in life we're at a point where companies don't care how the customer service is anymore. Store manager calls me today with no real care. I asked to escalate it to the district manager but obviously the store manager doesn't want Sally finding out. Frustrating experience! 3 employees in the lumber department walking around chatting with each other. They do not want to actually work. Had to have customer service call them on the speaker. I needed 2ft cut off a board. They can't cut lumber at that location, bought the 16ft board, only to find out the door on the lumber side doesn't work! Had to walk to the other side of the store carrying a 16ft long board! No help whatsoever. There's got to be a better way to run a business! read more

Been a customer for over 30 years and our most recent experience was so bad we will no longer be shopping at any of their stores. We moved in June and had to order a new exterior door with a doggie door which we have done before and the ordering process went smoothly. After that it was all downhill. We were lied from the beginning on the timing of the doors arrival what was supposed to be 4 weeks actually took 12 weeks. We learned through the process that they knew they had issues but kept telling us it will be in next week. When we went to the store the Manager was indifference and basically told us if we were happy then cancel the order. Then told us it would be 2+ weeks to get our $1200+ back. We contacted corporate and they didn't do anything but send us back to the store which obviously does not good when the store is the problem. Needless to say worse experience ever and if they would have been honest upfront, we could have made a better decision. read more

Wasted a trip to this Home Depot. Selected paint swatches and needed someone to mix paint - no one was working the paint counter so I asked someone at the cash registers in front of the paint section if they could help. They called someone for help but no one came. We waited a while. Then we asked the cashier register person again and they called someone again. We waited again. No one came and no one told us why.....they just let us stand there. Thanks folks. The cash registers were not busy. I could see 6 workers just standing around but no one was skilled to help us. So we left because we got tired of waiting and tired of no one communicating with us. We would've never driven out to this Home Depot only to be ignored. #fail read more

I'm really struggling here... I'm typically eager to give five stars but this Home Depot stresses me out! I am a DIY freak and would rather spend my time in a hardware store than Neiman Marcus, kwim?? AND I happen to have a close family member that's a HD VIP employee. (I try not to name drop when I go in ) Anywho... my hubby is a veteran so we use that military discount like no body's business. BUT HD acts like we are taking milk from their child when we want to use it! They make it SUPER difficult to access online AND their Wi-Fi in this particular store is basically non existent. So you CAN'T get the daily renewed QR code in the store. I'm sure that's not entirely their fault as I have friends who live in this area who have the same problem w Wi-Fi. But c'mon... they're a major chain store! I'm sure they have some pull at AT&T! Also, I made a large online order not knowing I had to use my husband's account to get the 10% discount that came out to around $300 back. Well, online HD made the call to ship the order in separate portions, making the receipt look as if I had made a couple different purchases. When we realized I didn't get the discount, hubby called HD. They said "Oh your wife should have used your account, sorry you won't get the military discount" My smart hubby said "So, what address did you ship to? Who's name is on that address? And what is the name on the credit card used to make the purchase? And how many purchases have I made in the past with my account versus the number of "guest" purchases my wife has made?" They crawfished and agreed to give him the $300 refund. Well, because THEY shipped it separate, and it appeared separate on the order by their own doing, they ended up only giving us 10% off the SMALLER portion that THEY shipped, $10 back! Uuugh. This review is probably not making much sense. I am obvs aggravated. But, in my attempts to always give SOMEONE a five star, I will say the assistant manager at the Prosper store, Angela Williams, is awesome. She worked with me in such a kind and accommodating way. And honestly, I know I LOOK like a "Ka***" with my middle aged, blonde haired, white woman self. And that can sometimes put people on the defense w me. So I always appreciate it when people treat me according to how I behave and not according to how I look! Thanks Angela! That being said, my favorite hardware store is Lowe's on 423. This Home Depot is absolutely terrible. They will rush you to order online so it can be delivered by tomorrow and they will still take weeks to ship and deliver. Don't lie to me, I rather not waste my time waiting and go to lowes to pick it up. Waste of time especially when you need things quickly. Do not trust their online ordering. Not someone who comes on here to complain often. I actually downloaded this app to give places good reviews so people like me new where to go. As for this Home Depot- Not impressed. Very nice new location. Convenient in proximity to where I live. My husband went to pick up our new front door I ordered online and selected curbside pick up so he wouldn't have to go inside and could have somebody help him load it. They then made him go inside to get it himself, not only that but made him move other peoples orders to get the door out from behind them by himself. Then told him nobody was able to help him load it. so much for curbside pick up and customer service. 2/5 stars. read more

I caught a gentleman walking inside named Dylan and I thought I'd ask him for help... best thing I ever did !! Ordered an 8' exterior door, it had to be ordered from the manufacturer as Hone Depot does not stock any 8' doors. (Amazing considering the area-lots of 8' doors). Even placing an order was problematic as it took 4 visits to find anyone to place the order. Then they ordered the wrong item, and of course reordered which meant a delay. The replacement door arrived 2 weeks later than the estimated delayed date. Finally installation day arrived, they had the wrong door trim. They told me they didn't stock the pattern that our home used so someone just picked some out. It was not even close in pattern, on top of that it was the wrong size (3.5" vs 4.5"). I declined the install. Door was ordered in February and will not be installed until June, maybe. Further, the trim will not be painted or primed when installed. Also the alarm system sensors will not be reconnected by their installer to the new door. So it will be an incomplete job when and if it eventually happens. My advice, go elsewhere if you want it done correctly and in a timely fashion. read more
