We purchased 13 Eagleston Hollies from Fannin Tree Farm and chose to pay a significantly higher price than other suppliers specifically because of the warranty that was presented to us at the time of purchase. We felt confident investing more upfront because we were assured the trees would be covered. Unfortunately, one of the trees dried out and snapped within just a couple of months. I reached out multiple times regarding the warranty, but instead of honoring it, I was offered 50% off a replacement. Even when I attempted to move forward with that option (despite believing it should have been covered under warranty), follow-up was difficult and communication was lacking. We were disappointed with the overall customer service experience, especially considering the investment we made. As it stands, we cannot recommend purchasing based on a warranty that is not honored. If management would be willing to reach out and stand behind the warranty by replacing the failed tree, we would gladly update this review to reflect a resolved situation. read more

Customer Service was so bad, I went to another company to buy my tree. And I'm not the only one complaining-- go look at the other reviews on customer service here. They don't want your business. You're gonna go back and forth for about 2 weeks because they ask you a question, you answer, they ask another and another and another -- and I'm like, where is the end when I pay you and get a tree?!?? I wanted a 45 gallon cedar elm. They quoted $695 for the tree plus planting. And if I wanted to up from there, $1450 for a 4'. But couldn't ever get past customer service to get the tree. If you need a special tree for your yard, Fannin is the place to go. We lost our "signature" old tree in our front yard due to the recent storms. I wanted a replacement and I wanted it to be BIG. When we arrived at Fannin, there were about eight people/families in line ahead of us, so that was the only negative aspect of our visit. Eventually we were greeted by Michael who was incredibly helpful and well educated about what might work in our front yard. We looked at a number of trees and ultimately decided on a Chinese pistachio. The selection was incredible and you can honestly go as big as you would like. Trees aren't cheap, but the prices are about what I had anticipated. We got everything purchased and are waiting for scheduling (2-3 weeks for installation). They do complete tree removal, which was helpful for us to remove our diseased and damaged tree. Then they will plant the new one. I will leave an updated review when it is done, along with a pic. They also offer a one-year warranty. read more

Very knowledgeable and listened to what we wanted to accomplish in our yard as far as tree style and pros and cons. If I can give this place 0 stars, I would do that. The sales person (she's blonde, old, Cruella looking make-up and face) is probably one of the rudest person that I've ever met. I think that once she saw my husband and I, she already categorized us as someone who may not be buying a tree from them, so her tactic was to be as rude as possible until we just leave so that she can move on to the next person. We came for their annual tree sale so of course we were there for a tree, but literally the moment words started coming out of that lady's mouth, oh yeah, you best believe that I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Instead of helping us choose the right tree, she bombarded us with questions that made us feel like we didn't know anything about what we're looking for. Yes, I'm never coming here again and do not recommend this place at all! The other positive reviews that said this place was great, they might've had someone else but the reviews where it mentions the rudeness of the person that works here? Yes! Please believe it! Additionally, honestly the sale wasn't even that great. Definitely a waste of my morning and time. And I'll be posting this on google reviews too which I usually don't. My experience was so awful here that I'm taking the extra time to post on another platform how unprofessional this place was. Oh, and please don't reply back by saying sorry your experience was bad, call us back blah blah blah. After some emails back and forth this spring, and telephone calls over the past two years, along with two work orders, one within a week of planting (Read - Warranty Claim,) and another 3 months after this company planted a multi-thousand dollar large Autumn Blaze Maple tree in my front yard on nearly the hottest day of 2022, at over 104 degrees, in a week where it reached 109 three days in a row after planting, when the tree wasn't to be planted until after summer was over when the temperatures cooled off in September, this company basically gave us advice, in essence, kicking the can down the road of time until the warranty ran out. They did not suggest to replace the tree, they told us despite the leaves falling off, and the tree being under tremendous stress, that it would bounce back. Just wait and see. Well we waited, and see that it is "dead," their own words. The tree was planted with half of it's canopy wilted near the end of a work day for the crew that drove around with it not even covered. It never recovered. It struggled. It had irrigation at it's base, we followed the Fannin instructions to the letter, going out of our way to buy all the recommended chemicals. I can honestly say that I don't much enjoy leaving reviews online for small businesses like this, but buyer beware. If you spend a few thousand dollars with this company, expecting a healthy tree to be planted by the experts, and with a warranty, which is why you would pay so much for a tree in the first place, and then not to be made whole when their tree fails, you would be disappointed too. To be fair, across a few emails this spring they offered me 20% off new merchandise, then 35%, and then graciously, "I spoke to management and they would be happy to extend a discount at 50% off a tree purchase. You are welcome to come in this weekend and get it tax free too." I replied to that email on May 24th, and heard nothing back. This is a fair, and honest review of this business, and their practices from the viewpoint of my experience with them. Do with this information what you may. read more

I recommend Fannin Tree Farm for 3 reasons: 1. By far the best inventory of trees I've seen in this area. Major emphasis on native trees & ones ideal for our climate & soil. 2. Customer service. Great advice and they take the time to show all your options, helping with the selection process. Our tree unfortunately was damaged during transport & planting, but Theresa took care of getting it replaced. 3. Warranty. We moved into a newly-built home & landscaping wasn't under warranty... naturally the quality & condition of trees the builder provider were inferior to the one we got from Fannin. Price may be a bit more than the big home & garden chain stores, but the quality is worth it. After the deep freeze, I was worried our new tree wouldn't survive. Been a customer for a year. Had them come out twice to plant trees. Both times they busted a sprinkler head or pipe. Their sales process is great. Their service guy is very unpleasant though. Very defensive and standoffish. Refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes. Overall, I'm happy with the product. Fannin Tree charged us $18000 for a red oak tree that was harvested from one of their nurseries. They planted it and did a good job. That part was good. What was not is what happened after. The tree started deteriorating. We were told that the first year it would be tough and that the second would be much better. The second year came along and it was worse than the first. They told us to wait for the third. The third year it was not only bad but the tree barely bloomed. We asked Fannin for help and they wanted nothing to do with it. Essentially they waited two years until it was too late for us to do anything about it. We feel completely cheated and really don't recommend them. We have spent thousands of dollars in arborists and treatments and still the tree is nothing like its former self. We spent $18000 and feel terrible because we love trees and hate to see our tree suffer and struggle. It may not make it another year. Fannin is in the business of stealing your money at the expense of mature trees that belong in the ground not taken out and then sold as good trees. We are honest people that got tricked into thinking that we could buy a mature tree and that it would be ok for the tree. So it is not even the money lost but the damage to the tree. It may not live even 4 years despite the best possible care. Don't do business lo with Fannin for the sake of the trees. read more

Had an issue where Fannin got my address mixed up with their actual client. They had 811 come and mark my yard for the utilities so they could plant some trees. I was not home at the time. When I got home I saw all the flags and markings and was not happy. I called 811 and asked what was going on and who was going to clean my yard. They said Fannin tree farm ordered the markings and would be responsible for the flags. I reached out to them and the gentleman(and I use that word loosely) I talked to told me they would get to it next time they were in my area. I told him that wasn't satisfactory and they needed to make it right asap. He continued to tell me it wasn't going to happen anytime soon and basically just to deal with it. I told him I needed them picked up because my lawn guys were coming. He replied that the lawn guys could pick them up. Bottom line, Fannin made a mistake and had the wrong yard marked and then refused to take care of the issue and make it right. I had no business with these people but still treated me with contempt. My wife works for a company that often refers business to them, but after this incident she will no longer be doing that. read more

This is the worst company that I have ever had to deal with. I had them install 30 eastern red cedars. over 10 died from the top down. I made sure to water them exactly as their instructions say. Then they replanted some of dead ones and over half of those died. Now they say my warranty only covers replacing a dead tree once. Great. These trees I picked were suppose to be among the hardiest for my area. Eastern red cedars. They are natural to my area. According to Chambersville Tree Farm, who has planted all my other trees with 100% success, Fannin planted mine too deep causing then to die from over water. The worst part is that my replacement sales rep (1st one sadly died) , wont return my calls & has blocked my phone calls. I know this because if I call him on another phone number, he picks up right away, but doesnt pickup on my caller id. And Bonnie, aka customer service, wont even come over to remove the dead trees. She claims they dont do that kind of work, yet if I call her company and act as a new customer, they will. read more

My husband and I moved to Texas last year to a new home in a new development. Unfortunately, there was one small builders tree in our back yard. Having left our multi-acreage of woods in Georgia I was very sad looking out at an empty space. We visited Fannin Tree Farm with the hope of purchasing trees that would do well in this area. Pam at Fannin was a tremendous help taking the time to answer all our many questions and her patience was over and above. She came out to our property and we put together a plan to bring in 15 good size trees. We followed up with Fernando getting an annual service to care for the trees. They provided all necessary instructions for a watering system as well. All I can say is when I look out at my trees now it is pure joy. Thank you all the crews at Fannin! read more

Can't give them a good review because the 2 trees I bought only made it one season. The 1 year warranty is pretty much useless because it takes a full season to see if they will make it. I bought a live oak and a magnolia tree that were both about 6-7 feet high. They came out and installed the trees which all went well. My only issue is they should have covered these trees. This review is based solely on the customer service provided by Pam. We went in knowing the type of tree we wanted, after having made a previous visit and having an in depth conversation with Margie (who was a pleasure to work with). When we arrived we were told that Pam would be the associate we'd be working with. From the beginning she was confrontational and didn't take the time to listen to what we wanted. She tried to sell us a larger tree than we wanted and made us feel as if we were wrong to want a smaller tree. She was pushy and judgmental. When we were taken out to look at the trees she was not helpful other than to point out the rows where they were located. When we selected one, we went back to the office and advised her of the replacement location. She told us that if we determined we needed stumping services it would be around $250. We could call her once we knew. When we called, we were charged $378 for the stumping. She was again rude on the phone and asked questions that we had already answered. After reflecting on the experience, my husband I decided we didn't want to do business with a company that condoned this type of service. We emailed to notify her of the cancellation. She didn't respond until my husband called to confirm she would process the cancellation. She again was rude and said that "everyone had to have priorities." We do have priorities and the first is rewarding businesses that care about their customers. I teach customer service classes and now have a prime example of exactly what not to do. In addition, she stated that we will be charged 3% for the cancellation. This was never discussed with us upon the initial purchase, but rather tagged on in small print on the back of the invoice. read more

When I bought the tree they said someone would call to schedule the planting of the tree 2-3 weeks out. 3 weeks later I call to inquire and they said they had me scheduled for week 4 ( I think I was scheduled because I called not because I was previously scheduled). Doesn't seem like the place to go for service after the sell. Update: the people who did the tree install did a amazing job. They put boards down to not leave tracks in the yard. We purchased a tree less than a year ago. The purchasing was a good experience with the price we paid for the tree it did come with a warranty. And here is where the problems start. The tree was delivered and planted. We had to call them back to re-anchor the tree due to it coming out of the ground. They came out and placed 4 tie downs and put the tie downs so tight all in one spot on the tree and the first wind storm we got the tree snaps into where the tie downs are located. Called them and spoke with an employee who all he would say well its an act of God. Then he finally agreed to write up a work order. Almost a week later called them again and another employee answers the phone and said the computer system is down and she took the information again and said she would put the work order in. We just want them to come and look at the tree and communicate with us the next steps and that doesn't seem to be happening. They are ready to take the money on the day of the tree purchase but when something happens they are slow to respond and don't seem to care about the customer. Customer service and follow through goes a long way. Update- after posting the above. Fannin tree farm reached out to us. Specifically Claire, was very helpful. She looked at the pictures and declared the tree dead. And they will be bring us a new tree. As we picked out our new tree we purchased another tree from them to be placed in the back yard. Update to my earlier review. Our tree was planted yesterday, the crew did a great job. The tree looks great and it was worth the wait. In the time since our purchase we went to a couple of nursery's we use to get other plants, I looked at their tree selection just for a reality check and, if we were still looking to buy we would have gone back to buy from Fannin Tree Farm even with the wait for install. I changed to 4 stars rather than 5 because of the wait and communication misstep, I do recommend them and will keep them in mind if we need more trees in the future. read more

Be careful. I had two purchases and two installation jobs. Each done by a different team. One was done well, and one was not. In the end, they pulled some shading warranty pricing. 1. Tree selection and specimens. 4 stars. They have a large selection all grown on their own farms. Each tree is pretty decent except if you are unlucky to go there at the end of the season. Many are not available or picked through. 2. Pricing. 3 stars. I little on the high side, but includes delivery, dig and "warranty". They did raise their prices by over 30% at the end of the season for their runt trees. I call this price gouging. 3. Installation. 2 stars. First job was done carefully and cleanup was great. Second job was not very good. They left debris, rocks, and mud from the dig-out all over the surrounding grass. They left the street a mess until I made them clean it up. The also scratched up my iron fence pushing the tree through it. 4. Warranty. 0 stars !!!!. One tree died after three weeks. They asked that I wait one month before they replace it. Meanwhile, they raised the price 30% and their selection drops to almost nothing. They pointed to their contract which says that customer is responsible for year-over-year price increases. But this was three weeks!!! and they asked that I wait, knowing that there was an imminent price increase!!!, and I had an email from them stating I would get a like-for-like tree. In the end they honored the original price, but the practice left a bad taste with me. read more
