This Home Depot is the closest to our house, and we have experienced consistent customer service, cleanliness and organized aisles for the 15yrs we have lived in Marietta. We recently had our back deck rebuilt. Home Depot had everything our installer requested with competitive pricing (compared with Lowe's and Metro Building). Our first large lumber order was placed online and delivered directly to our driveway for $79 + $30 so we could specify the delivery window. Our installer didn't give much notice when he was ready for the deck, railing and balusters. The lumber crew was so helpful, offering to cart the 2x10x16s and 2x4x16s I needed before 7am and help load them into my Expedition EL. For the 66 deck pieces and balusters, I was able to order online for my installer to pick up without issue. Once the deck was complete, we returned the few extra items with ease. We love this Home Depot and appreciate their continued excellence. read more

After many years of using this store, it has become very unfriendly and unhelpful. I came here to purchase a pressure washer today. Waited for help, went to the front ask where I could get a cart. The young man pointed outside said they're out there. They were outside and all the way across the parking lot, he offered no help at all Went back once I had my cart asked someone to meet me at the pressure washers. He said OK and started talking to his coworker again 10 minutes later and no one met me there so I left very unhappy. I didn't see anyone here that looked like they were in charge or anyone who looked like they cared. read more

Y'all I cannot keep doing this to myself. Every time I expect a good shopping experience at the Home Depot they do not deliver as much. Where are the knowledgeable orange aprons they used to have back in the day? Where are the orange aprons, period for that matter? I'm over it. I cannot ask someone to answer my desperate questions. I cannot find an orange apron that is interested in good quality customer service. It's too much of a hassle, and it is the culture of Home Depot for I have been to HMD's from the coast of Georgia, Florida, the Carolinas, and several metro Atlanta stores and the experience of the orange big box is the same. Every company has it faults. In college I worked for Home Depot. It was a great experience because my location was frequently visit by Mr Marcus and Mr Blank on a weekly basis. They would drive home each week to serve the customer first and foremost. That was 1996! I have carried those teaching and passion for the customer with me along each journey in my career but it is sad to see at least this location has not. Purchased carpet for the only room in my house which has carpet. The process was full of flaws and finger pointing that it pissed me off of what this company used to be. Now I am at the mercy of a installer (Romanoff Renovations) who don't give a dang about the customer. Many details here but I will spare those due to the length. In short I have manage my purchase more than Home Depot did and they are the ones who contracted the installer not me. The process is far from professional. Pay a little more money and get it done right unless you have time to manage everything. I don't. Sad to see the HD brand go down the tubes like this location has. read more

A manager assissted me with a return. He had a very unique name, started with a T (Tevin?). If you ever have an issue, speak to this gentleman! Just a class act, very respectful and took a min to return my laser and swap it out for a better one, but the cashier couldn't do it and he made it happen. recently purchased a stick vaccum cleaner at this location and despite box taped shut and confirmed by cashier to not be a return - to my dismay this item turned out to have indeed been a return with the dust cobtainer full and the on/off switch not working. I was peeved! I called the store and was instructed to bring the item back for replacement as they had one more in stock. I arrived at the store and was greeted by the assistant store manager John, who promptly took over the situation to process the return and provide me with the replacement, which he had checked for factory seal and made sure on/off switch was in working order. I appreciated him going the extra mile. He was friendly, courteous and professional during the entire process. Thank you John! read more

I Purchased over $1000 worth of flooring. Unfortunately this brand is only sold at Home Depot. Each box weighs close to 30 pounds. I had to load 18 boxes onto a cart in the store and load my car alone. I am a female in my mid 60's. I move my car close to the door to load. The worst part is a male employee walked outside when he saw me loading my car he immediately walked back inside. After I was finished loading he went back outside and started smoking within 2' feet of the door. The store runs the gamut from conscientious helpful employees to horrible incompetent employees. Time to vent about this Home Depot! Paid for a grill and delivery/set up on Thursday. Was told it would deliver Friday, then they rescheduled for Saturday. We got this TRASHED grill Saturday evening, looks like it fell off truck, driver didn't even get us to sign for it, just took off before we could inspect it! Called them and they said they'd take care of it right away, So, no delivery Sunday, Promised 100% Monday to deliver a usable grille; not even a phone call today! Now they are saying tomorrow. I'm sorta between a 2 and a 3. The girls at the checkout are pleasant, fast, and efficient. I give them a 4 only because their attention is more on each other than the customer. There's always someone available to assist in the paint department and on a previous visits, they were able to match paint perfectly based off of samples I provided. Here's an opportunity: I can never find anyone in appliances. I had questions about a dishwasher that I wanted to buy but there's no one here. I could come back another time but I practically live in this store and that section is always empty. Two employees looked at me as if I interrupted their personal conversation when I asked for assistance locating an item. As a customer, if you see an employee with a Home Depot apron on, in the aisles, you're going to assume they're on duty ready to work. Smh..... After being a loyal customer for over 16 years I experienced an awful incident of profiling. I asked for help in getting a chainsaw which was locked away. An associate unlocked and removed the product then asked if I was finished shopping because I would need to be escorted to the counter due to the $189 price of the item. She not only escorted me to customer service but then stood and watched plus waited until the cashier began checking the product out... utterly humiliating. The cashier herself was confused as to the excessive behavior of the other associate and even called her back to understand why I was in customer service for a simple purchase. Meanwhile I was just there the week before and purchased related products from the same area for over $300 and wasn't told that I need to be escorted to a cashier. Over 16 years of being a homeowner in this community and a customer of this store I've literally spent tens of thousands of dollars in the establishment and have never before experienced anything like this! read more

My refrigerator died suddenly. Went to the Marietta Dallas Highway Home Depot and easily found someone in appliances. He helped me find exactly what I wanted and was careful to ensure it was deliverable within a week. Great customer service! My refrigerator was delivered as agreed and installed with no problems; my old broken one was hauled away and the delivery guys were careful and clean. Highly recommend! read more

I am very disappointed with Home Depot in that they do not deliver on their promises. They had scheduled a delivery of a washer and dryer for today Saturday my only day off, even sent three automated confirmation voicemails plus the store representative called to confirm. When I had called back to just speak with the sales rep at the store, that's when I found out that somebody, unknown who, changed the delivery date to next weekend. Because of Home Depot's inability to communicate I would've been without the laundry again for another two weeks. I simply cancelled the order, drove down the street to Lowe's, bought the same exact washer/dryer, they matched the prices, and they will deliver it tomorrow Sunday between hours of 11 AM and 1 PM. I still have not received any explanation as to who changed the delivery date from Home Depot or why. I will be in the market for a new refrigerator with a next year, but you know Home Depot will not be getting any more of my major appliance business. read more

First off, please know how BUMMED I am to even write this. Years ago HD was known for outstanding customer service. Not so much anymore. In Jan., due to a free carpet installation promotion, I asked the Flooring Manager if she could help me locate the best quality for lowest price carpet. I took pictures of all the samples and pricing and scheduled an estimate. A week later, a man representing HD came to our home to measure. He asked me what carpet we were ordering and I told him I didn't know. He said he needed that for the quote so I looked at the pictures on my phone to randomly pick a choice so we could get an estimate. I picked Gemini II Universal. Later that day, I received a text message from HD that said 'click the link in' the text to 'review our itemized flooring quote for $2,441.08'. The link led to a flooring quote that had in BIG BOLD NUMBERS $2,441.08. Underneath the $2,441.08 there was another link that opened another page with the quote breakdown. On the first link with $2,441.08 the word 'carpet' is included in the quote. On the second page 'Material Total' is $1,505.79 and 'Labor Total' is $970.29 but neither of these totals are broken down line item by line item. It's noted the SKU is missing but we assumed that was not a big deal as we would be picking another color anyway. Once I convinced my husband it was time to pull the trigger, he called to verify the info. Sherry confirmed the quote, $2,441.08 included Gemini II carpet, highest grade pad, old carpet removal, new carpet installation, furniture breakdown. Finally we decide on a color and I call her in Feb. to pull the trigger. I tell her we want Artisan Hue and she quotes me over $5,000. I'm stunned. She is confused too and finally after toggling back and forth between screens which she admits to being confusing to navigate, tells me we were never quoted for the actual carpet. I tell her we will not be moving forward as it feels like a bait and switch. My husband visits the store for clarification and it escalates up the management ladder as he speaks with Sherry, the Floor Manager and the Store Manager. Sherry admits in front of them she is "human and made a mistake". It was "right there in front of her" and she "didn't see it". In her defense, it wasn't obvious at all based off of the written quotes we now understand came from an outside vendor. Nowhere on there does it say carpet is not included, just that the SKU is unavailable. BIG difference. The Store Manager, Natalie, told my husband she would have to escalate it to the Regional Manager. My husband reaches out a couple of times to see if Natalie has heard anything and on February 10, 2021 she calls him back to inform him that there's nothing Home Depot can/is willing to do and that it was obvious the quote didn't include carpet. We strongly disagree here for clear reasons. My husband, the Home Depot Flooring Manager and myself ALL missed it. And that also according to the vendor, they have called us multiple times to discuss. This is partially true. A COMPUTER called once a day with the same automated message saying if "you would like to proceed with your order or have any further question please call us..." which I have saved to my voicemail. NOTHING other than that. Strangely enough, the day after my husband spoke with Natalie who mentioned the supposed multiple phone calls from the vendor, did we finally receive a phone call that was entirely different. It wasn't automated but an actual live person, a lady telling us she looked forward to helping us with the "glitch" in our carpet estimate. Then my husband talks to a representative (who didn't give his correct name because when my husband called back to speak with him, he wasn't there) who admitted there had been multiple estimates that went out like ours and they were indeed wrong. When the Divisional Manager finally calls, he is willing to give us a $500 credit. No thanks. At this point I'm happy to pay full price somewhere else. I went into this location to order a washer and dryer for delivery, after I paid they told me it would take 3 weeks to deliver which wasn't great because we were moving into a new home but I agreed to it. 3 weeks rolls around and they're late for delivery and haven't reached out so I call just to find out the sales women put in two dryers to be delivered instead of a washer and dryer!! When I asked what I should do they told me to return them and reorder and wait another 3 weeks!! And that I had to wait for the dryers to be delivered to tell the guys to take them back in order to get my refund but the delivery guys never came!!! And when I checked the update it said they came to my home and we did not answer when we were here all day long and have a ring camera that notifies us if anyones at the door... needless to say I will be going to lowes for my washer and dryer along with any other appliances I need for my home. I picked up a $489 order from Acworth, but they didn't have all items in stock, so i had 2 heat lamps to buy at Dallas Hwy Depot, and found their most expensive outdoor smart lighting fixture along the way. Checking out I notified the clerk that while in the store the Home Depot Mobile app displayed a $20 off a $100 purchase coupon. At the counter the clerk couldn't find a way to run the discount, so asst manager "Mark", came to resolve, i asked for the $20 off The $135ish sale and he rang up $10 off and walked off. 2 i asked for district manager Theresa contact info, was told only Natalie was available via email. 3 Bad experience overall, this Dallas Hwy store is disorganized & untidy, eg Hand sanitizer out of wipes, grimey, and mess littered the station from previous customers with access to clean hands. No one picked up on daughter searching for sanitizer. Current Kennesaw home renovation = shop Lowe's. ----- Update, After filing my complaint via survey I was contacted by Ops Mgr Louis Newcomber, not asking what they could do to resolve, or attempt to earn back my business, but instead scold other stores for discounting a product. When I told him I took my business to Lowe's and they gladly seemed to appreciate my business I was told that's why Lowe's stock is at $107 and theirs is at $208. Go ahead, feed that machine your hard-earned money and pay a healthy premium for convenience. There are hungrier businesses out there, Ace Hardware, etc, and mom and pops much more appreciative who will treat you better. read more

These are challenging times, we know, but this store is in complete disarray. We tried to do curbside pickup. The signs in the parking lot lead you to no where. The number you're instructed to call to pick up is not being answered. When you finally make eye contact with an employee, it's apparent they know nothing about procedures. The person "in charge" was rude and of no help. Now the young men who helped load the items in the truck were most helpful & polite. Oh, by the way, the order was not completed correctly so we can't even start our project, much less finish it. The Home Depot has been my "go to" since 1986! Unfortunately, they have lost my loyalty. The owners/founders certainly do not need the money, yet they have restructured their return policy. That was one reason I was a great customer. It's a hardware store & no one wants to be one screw, but or elbow short in the middle of a Fox, so we buy more & return. Now if you don't, no matter if they still carry or not, they won't give you a credit. That SUCKS! I will be shopping around from now on. I ordered something on line recently & after it was delayed multiple times (4x), do you think they made any concessions with me? Old HD would have sent free or minimally sent a gift card to apologize & let me know they appreciate my business. New HD probably wanted to charge me an inconvenience fee?! I'm VERY disappointed!!! Pretty much a big FU for buying a damaged product from us for $600 and another $100 to have it installed and will not make good on any of it! They posted 3 for 12 sale on hostas for Memorial Day weekend but then the plants rang up $8 each. Nobody offered to change it, they insisted it was for a different plant. The signs were placed literally in front of the plants I chose. The woman had the audacity to say "the sale is for hostas." No really woman? "In case y'all don't know what a hosta is that's it". I yesterday 3/14/18 purchased a kitchen aid grill to be delivered to my home. The delivery was prompt but as soon as the delivery man came to the door he announced that they don't go up stairs. I then said you can bring your truck around to my back yard and bring it that way without stairs. All of a sudden I hear this loud noise which was the delivery guy rolling my grill up my driveway and possibly ruining my grill. There were TWO step up to my deck and he wouldn't simply lift the grill onto my deck!!!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE HOME DEPOT!!!!! I have been making frequent trips to this Home Depot. Mainly the paint department. My first trip Dee couldn't be more helpful. My second trip she not only remembered me but remembered my project. My next trip Rhonda helped me again took her time with me did not make me feel rushed as I could be very indecisive she read labels for me to make sure I could use particular products or not and graciously helped me to check out. After having a horrible incident the night before at lowes I will only be visiting this Home Depot from now on. Thank you ladies !!! I have lived and shopped her for almost 15 years, but in the past few years it has been quite the disappointment. If you go to this Home Depot don't expect any help, but instead look for pockets of employees standing around speaking loudly about the mismanagement and lack of staffing. Don't look for a friendly hand to help you in garden, don't expect any expertise in hardware. Especially, don't dare to be brave and show up for a workshop, because the instructor will be at lunch and 45 minutes later will show up with no idea how to teach said workshop. Please don't call to speak to the manager to complain, because he will point blame to the opening manager as he is just a closing manager or even Rachel the work shop coordinator. My point is....if all you need is a simple screw go to this store, but you better be able to find it yourself among that staff of dazed and confused employees. read more

Horrible* Went in to buy 3 ladders advertised on sale, none located previously called store to confirm in stock in which they said yes, no one in ladder area to help, went up front to ask for help, 15 minutes later knowing had arrived I called the store from my cell phone ask for help again someone was supposed to be in route. Finally a gentleman named James showed up he was from a different department. He tried to help but couldn't find it another 15 minutes elapsed then he went and found the person that was assigned to the area. They did locate the ladders which were on the top shelf 5 isle over in a non ladder category area. They went to get a lift to get the ladder 10 more minutes elapsed, and no one came to help me I went to look for the associate. I noticed him helping a very attractive young lady with a short dress so I figured that I was pushed to the side for the more attractive customer. When I voiced my frustration to another associate another Home Depot employee named Justin nearly yell telling me they had other customers to help and they couldn't drop what they were doing to help me (even though I was in store ahead of attractive lady and for over 35 minutes) we basically argue back and forth and then if there was hands up in the air and walked off. I went up front ask for a manager, associate Justin saw me up there at the main entrance and apologized and said he was sorry for the rude Behavior... we shook hands and I accepted it for the moment. Then I hear a lady say loudly are you the one that needed me? Politely said and who are you? And she said she was an assistant manager. ( I would have expected an assistant manager of a major store Walker shake my hand and greet me appropriately than yell at me ten feet away)?? I told her my story and went back and forth nothing was resolved there was no sincere apology or resolution to the just respect that I was shown in the failure to resolve a problem by a manager?She without hesitation allowed me who was ready to spend hundreds of dollars at her store walk out without trying to keep me in Home Depot? ? I Contacted the store manager via telephone call she seemed more interested in hearing my story and displayed a more sincere apology tone than any of the others, sadly she just listened....Im confident nothing will be done...so I went down the road 1/2 mile and paid 20% more for a non sale items at a major competitor but I am ok with it. They were nice and respectful...In closing my little biy asked WHATS WRONG WITH THOSE PEOPLE? NEXT TIME LETS GO TO LOWES!! As Larry the Cable Guy says you can't make this stuff up! This is an older Home Depot. It's really hit or miss if you are looking for advise on fixing/remodeling things. Took me forever to find someone a staff member who knew anything about plumbing. I actually got better advise from shoppers than the staff member. They need to hire more experienced people. I'm blown away that when I go to customer service to ask where I can find a certain item, customer service needs to call a couple of people to locate the item. read more

Well times change. What once was my favorite store has become so much like all the rest. Still have some great associates like Elaine, Travis, Sam, and others. The store just hasn't been the same over the last couple years and since the current manager arrived. I recently purchased a storage building through this store and I know it's a subcontractor, but was very disappointed with the salesman. The delivery guys did a fantastic job getting the shed in place but left the support blocks very crooked and leaning. Looks bad and I'm concerned they will fall taking the shed down too. And I paid extra for this! I will say the guy that came to repair the roof was very personable and did a good job. The trend of replacing cashiers with self checkout is not one I like, especially in a home center. read more

My wife and I just left the Home Depot in West Cobb. It had to be the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We wanted to buy some windows. We are looking to spend thousands on replacement windows for our home. We sat in the window department for 25 minutes with nobody coming back to help us. We asked 3 different employees to please get someone back there. We heard no announcement to get someone back there to help. Finally we decided to leave but asked to talk to the store manager. An employee up front called the store manager and we were told they would be with us shortly. After standing for another 10 minutes with no manager in sight, we just left. This store was terrible. They should be ashamed. Especially with Loews next-door. read more
