When my mom's freezer began to go in and out, I asked around for recommendations on appliance repair. I heard Appliance Dean mentioned a couple of times so I reached out to them on Wednesday night, hoping to get the problem fixed before the appliance fully died. Seemed a safe bet from a business touting swift repairs and even same-day service, right? Fast-forward to Friday night going into Saturday morning. The freezer finally dies, this time taking the fridge with it. Still not one word back from Appliance Dean. I waited until business hours to reach out again and ask what was going on, and this was not a case of my message having been lost in the shuffle because the one who responded immediately knew who I was and gave me the information I requested earlier in the week. Making matters worse, they then 'graciously' offered to finally send a guy out... two days from that point, which would have made it a grand total of no less than 5 days spent waiting on them to grace us with their attention despite all of their claims of rapid service, same-day repairs, and weekend appointments. The part that burns me most is that we STILL would not have heard back from them yet if I hadn't become frustrated enough to contact again and ask what the heck was going on -- they only responded when the problem became an emergency and I stopped being patient with them. I'm not even sure where the recommendations came from as when I asked around on Reddit about this business, I got plenty of replies from locals saying that this is pretty normal for them and they have a bad habit of cherry-picking service calls and going for the potentially most expensive ones while ignoring the simpler jobs. I'm guessing these people grew faster than they were prepared to handle and that the positive reviews are from their earlier, more responsible days. Whatever the case, I strongly recommend not trusting them to handle your repair needs... unless, of course, it's a big expensive job; I imagine you'll have their prompt attention for that. read more

I had an excellent experience from the jump. The woman answering the phone was super friendly and quickly set up an appointment. Casey came by the next day, examined the fridge and said it needed a part he would have to order. It was Friday, and he worried he might not be back till Tuesday. I said that was OK. He called Monday morning to say the part was in, and he'd like to squeeze me in during some other appointments in the area. Heck yeah! Then when he started working on the fridge, he realized something he had quoted me for was unnecessary and took it off the tab. Super honest! Just a great all-around experience. I always call Appliance Dean for any appliance issue because their service is the best. When I found my dryer wasn't working, I called at 7:30am and left a message. Someone called right back at 8:00, knew who I was, and scheduled a technician to arrive in 2-3 hrs, and thanked me for my business. Christian called to let me know his arrival time, was putting on his protective booties when I opened the door, and had the problem diagnosed in no time and knew he could get the part for installation the next day first thing. My Viking over-the-range microwave failed. Dean was my technician. He was strong enough to manage the very heavy unit. He replaced the failed parts. The microwave has been working for nearly a decade since Dean's successful repair. In contrast, when my Viking oven failed, the problem was the control board, and Viking stopped supporting that board. My Viking oven cannot be fixed by anyone. read more

We had our LG Gas Oven lose its heating element. We called Appliance Dean and made an appointment for the next day. Coby arrived on time and ready to help us. He did some diagnostics on the oven, then promptly told me the problem which, in fact, was the heating element. Also, he said the reason it failed was because of age and nothing else. It took him around 15 minutes to repair and test. Coby was very polite and professional. He was very knowledgeable regarding appliances. Cost was $225.00 for the visit, diagnostics, and repair! How can you express the best service that you have ever received? Recently our LG Dryer (9 years old) would not start. I spend several hours researching Appliance Repair Companies in Atlanta and calling LG team. I decided to go with Appliance Dean - One of the Best decisions that I have every made. On Sunday, I submitted the form to contact the company to schedule an appointment. I had the pleasure to work with Gabrielle in the office to schedule the appointment and Chris was assigned to us. I need to start this review with 2 facts: 1. I never write reviews. Never. Who has the time? 2. This company didn't actually fix our refrigerator, an LG we bought brand new just 2 years ago. In all honesty, what they provided us, makes us a customer for life. To make my non-review life easier, I'm just going to copy the email that I sent directly to them a few hours ago! Justin Ramey from Appliance Dean said he can fix any appliance and he systematically fixed our dishwasher (really difficult repair - practically had to take it apart just to get to the part to fix the soap dispenser), then the microwave and the stove. My first experience with Dean was when my now 32 -year-old Sub Zero quit working. It had been repaired umpteen times and I've always dreaded the day I would have to replace it. It's built in and I would have to buy another Sub Zero of the same dimensions. A new Sub Zero like mine (single door refrigerator plus freezer drawer) costs as much as a slightly used Honda Accord. Dean triaged me with a next day appointment. Not sure what magic he did, but he fixed it for $95! If I had called the manufacturer's recommended company, I would expect it to have cost 5 times as much. It has worked perfectly until this year, when lots of ice started forming in the freezer. Tyler, who had been trained by Dean came out quickly and recommended I put Vaseline on the gasket, at least until they could order a replacement. It has worked PERFECTLY, no ice, correct temperature. The trip fee was reasonable. Petroleum jelly, $2.68. I can't tell you how happy that makes me as I've been seeing this SubZero as a bomb that would go off one day and wipe out my bank account. They have also repaired my built-in microwave/convection oven that would cost more than $1200 to replace (plus a new trim kid. I didn't know anyone repaired microwaves anymore because they're so cheaply made. (My Sharp Carousel from 198 lasted 22 years, weighed a ton and was repaired a few times.) The cost was $135. Now you may be thinking, "She could get a new microwave for that price." But not a combination convection/micro that fit this particular custom cabinet. Appliance manufacturers change things so that it's hard to repair, hard to replace without remodeling the kitchen. Appliance Dean saved me again. I'm sorry I didn't know about him three dishwashers ago. I will count on him when my Thermidor cooktop takes a dive. It is a drop-in of odd dimensions and I have a granite countertop that can't be modified. I have to tell you I'm still conflicted about posting this (which I know is a lack of character on my part). But Appliance Dean is the trifecta of appliance repair: Competent. Honest. Reliable. Oh, and Dean's wonderful wife Gabriel answers phone, texts and always wants to help. Dean himself has started a new business, but he has left his company in good hands. The only mistake, that I must report, is that when my Kenmore Elite washer (2003) seemed to be leaking, Dean suggested it wasn't worth repairing and advised me to buy a new one. My plumber was here a few days into my search for new washer/dryer and checked it out. All that was needed was a new intake valve ($57) plus 1/2 hour of time. So Dean was wrong on that one and I guess I could ask for a refund on the trip fee and would probably get it. Good people. read more

I am a long time customer of Dean. I've used him to repair appliances in both my home and rental property. Most recently I called his cell to ask a specific question about an ice maker and left a message to return my call.I waited 48 hours and when I didn't get a callback I again left a message. Two weeks later I'm still waiting. It appears this business owner doesn't value his long- time customers and, as his recorded message says, he's only interested in "making appointments". I described the problem over the phone with Appliance Dean, they sent a technician out the next day - name is Alex. Alex was completely professional, called ahead to let me he was coming, he came prepared with the parts (this turns out to be a common problem with this fridge - Samsung actual came out with a mod kit to correct this), he was friendly, knowledgable and he knew exactly what to do and and the extra mile checking and defrosting all of the drain lines. Our Samsung dyer broke, it won't heat up. It wasn't too old (5 yrs) and I don't want to buy another. I called AD for a quote and they set me up for an appointment pretty quickly. Dean was punctual. Dean came out to look at one of our wine fridges - wasn't cooling - he immediately saw that it was out of refrigerant - called the company to verify which refrigerant it required then set about testing it and adding it to the unit! Very professional, personable, reliable! The year warranty is very nice and reassuring! I would recommend him in a heartbeat! On a side note he told me that the unit may take up to 48 hours to get to the appropriate temperature with so many bottles - pleased to say it reached 55 degrees by the time we woke up the next morning (12 hours later)! read more
