I was needing a wheelbarrow but they only had the one they were using for bags of wood chips. Problem is the handles were badly worn, the tub was scratched up so I asked if they would discount it, they would not. I went and bought it and it will be the LAST TIME I SHOP at this store. Avid this store, I had a awful experience, bought an item and returned it on the same day, was given a receipt that it was credited back to the card i used. The money was never returned to my card, when I went in 3 weeks later with both receipts I was told to contact my bank, which I did while in the store , and they said the my account never got the refund, I talked to the "owner" he was incredibly rude and combative, I was honestly shocked at the way he talked to me, calling me names and talking to me like a child, telling me to shut up and that he didn't care and ultimately telling me to get out, saying he didn't care if I got my money back. I like that upon entry into the store the staff always greets you and ask if you need any help. This location stays stocked pretty well and always have what I need. This is a small hardware store and they have a small outdoor garden for plants. This location is never really crowded which is great for me due to the current pandemic. I would recommend this store for anyone that needs to grab small house supplies. They also have a few paint options as well. read more

I paid them a visit today for a simple request and Andrew was super duper friendly! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and advised what aisle I should be in. I needed some material to fill in several holes in my drywall. I am a single woman and I had never done this kind of project. There were 2 different products that I was considering so I asked the 2 young men at the register about the difference in products. I wonder what their real reason was rather than what they told me why they denied me to laser cut a blank Sidemill key type for my vehicle I brought to them. They acknowledged they'd the machine. I even told them I wouldn't hold them responsible (which is is the norm for when people bring their blank keys with them to cutting shops) if the cutting of the key turns out unsuccessful and hence rendering the key to waste. I also told them I've proof of ownership of the vehicle with me for which the key is going to be cut. So if you believe you'd probably also have similar experience as me, just don't go there. Find somewhere else, for example Batteries Plus Bulbs stores are the best! They did mine without no problem and they are super professional and pleasant interact with. Ironically, it's these guys - Smith Hardware Delk Road - who told me I can get it cut there when they denied me the service even though they'd a perfectly working machine. read more

I walked in and a young man immediately greeted me. I came in for 2 products: he knew where both of the items were located. Instead of pointing me in the right direction, he walked me to each area helped me find out quickly that the Ace didn't stock the size I needed for the 1st item (a metal 1/16" pipe plug), but gave me suggestions on where i could go and possibly find one. The other item, on the opposite end of a rather long Ace store (both items where on the end aisles, which would have been easy enough to say "go to the ends", but he instead took the time to walk me to exactly where each utem was on the shelf!): he helped me pick a rotatimg sprinkler (great selection btw). When they say, 'Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks' they aren't lying! This Ace is top notch. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable associate. Since I don't know shit about tools, yard work, or general hardware paraphernalia I always need help; they always supply it. I love this store and will continue to shop here over big box stores like Home Depot and Lowe's as much as I can as the aforementioned make me want to take a blunt saw of some sort to the face. I'm not sure what kind of saw- but I'm sure an Ace associate could help me out with that. I suppose it would have to be more of a hammer type apparatus. Anyway- you get the point. read more

I will never purchase at this store again. The ads and sale items are very misleading. You cannot use coupons or your rewards coupons on purchases that are on sale or promotion. I do understand that they are independently owned and that using coupons are at each individuals stores discretion BUT they do not tell you that or print it on the coupons/ads. I would rather make the extra 5 minute drive to Home Depot where I can receive better prices and customer service. read more

We live close by, so the convenience of this neighborhood store is a big plus. As others have said, the staff is extremely friendly and eager to help you find exactly what you need. They have a surprisingly large inventory for such a small store. If I'm looking to replace something, I might go elsewhere for a larger selection or lower prices, but if I'm looking to fix something, then this is the place. They'll help figure out how to fix your problem and sell you the parts necessary. And if they don't have what you need, they'll suggest another place nearby that might. read more

If I hadn't seen it for myself, I would never have believed it. Back in my hometown for a few days, I needed to get a few items at the local Ace. While in line a customer comes up to the front desk with a receipt and bolt cutters for return. The store owner standing near the counter told the gentleman in his 60's that Ace would not take them back. The man stated the bolt cutters had not been used and he just wanted a return. The owner with an attitude replied he won't take them back because people can use them and then return them. The customer tried to show the owner how they had not been used. Owner just said I will not take them back. The customer who was clearly frustrated now pulled out his Ace Rewards card and tossed it on the floor saying you can have this back. This is when the owner of the store said "Hey man, It's a good thing we are not in a bar, You disrespected me you know what I would do. The customer turned around and stated "So you won't take my returns and threaten to fight your customers. Thats a great customer service policy" Owner stated again as customer was walking out "It's just a good thing we are not in a bar" I will not patronize this place ever again as long as the meathead owner is there. Looks like Lowes or Home Depot will get my business and I'am sure the other guys. read more

We recently bought a home just down the road from the new Ace Hardware on Delk rd. For the first few weeks I was back and forth to the store 3-4 times a day. The whole staff is friendly and eager to help. I bought a green egg from them too and they offer free delivery for bigger items if you live close. Having been an Ace Rewards Member since this store at 2900 Delk Rd. in Marietta, GA first opened, I was extremely disappointed that recently I was told that they could not shake a gallon of "outside" paint for me. Apparently, they only will shake paint that is purchased in their store. Thus, I went to my local Home Depot where not only did the associate shake the paint, he gave me advice on how to apply it, and asked if I needed any supplies. I made an emergency stop at the store for the first time yesterday after my shovel broke and I had to stop what I was doing halfway through. At first I thought about driving over to Home Depot, but the 20 minute drive compounded with the 20 minute walk just to find what I was looking for did not appeal to me. Then I remembered that Ace is just right down the street! When I walked in, I was greeted by two very nice associates, who asked if they could help with anything. When I told them what I was looking for, one of them (I wish I got his name, but he had an awesome white beard!) took me over to the shovels, and asked me some questions to make sure I got the right one. He made sure I wasn't wasting my money on something I would never use, and that I also got a product that would last. I headed up to the counter to check out, and the young lady who helped me was just as nice. I wish I wasn't in a hurry when I went, as they had lots of really great products for all of the parts of my house! I will definitely go back soon to decorate my backyard, and for plants come spring time! read more

Ace is NOT the place...at least not the place to pick up an on-line order. WARNING - there is confusion at ACE on-line and Smith Ace Hardware at Delk Road. You can order a product from Ace online and pick it up at the store, BUT you CANNOT return it there - they say. They say, 'You must return it through Ace online.' Calling Ace online, they were mystified why the local store wouldn't accept the return. Confusion and incompetence reigns supreme and there is NO 'convenience' in having an Ace Hardware store nearby. They are confused (or just ignorance or, worse yet, lazy) and there seems to be little contact between these two Ace Hardware entities. Let this be a warning. Do business with someone else, for in addition to high prices for a limited inventory, they add incompetence and confusion. Stick with a seamless online vendor only. There is little advantage in having a brick & mortar place nearby. Which is regrettable. read more
