I thought they just sold seeds and gardening supplies. However, my sister-in-law who knows I'm crazy about plants right now found a video on YouTube showing this store's newly renovated plants section. So I had to check it out. They have a lot of stuff. They have books about plants and even cute crocheted/knitted plants too. I came with 2 goals in mind. The first was to find a small terra cotta plant pot saucer (about 2" in diameter) and the second was to look at their indoor plants. I found the saucer, but it was $2.29 for one. I can get them at Dollarama for $1.50 for 3 but they are a bit bigger, like 2.5 inches. So I'm going to hold out for now. I might just end up getting the bigger ones to save some money. I enjoyed looking at their plants. They had Lithops, my favourite plant, but only green ones and reddish/orangey ones, which I already have. I'm looking for purple ones or colours I don't have already. They also had Fenestraria Rhopalophylla (Baby Toes) for only $9.99, cheaper than at most other places, but they weren't in good condition, so I passed. They had lots of string of pearls which were in excellent shape though. I found it odd that some plants were thriving while others were in rough shape. Anyway, I had fun poking around the store. I'm going to return with my husband to check out their organic vegetable seeds. He's in charge of our backyard vegetable garden ;) Lots of free parking available in their private parking lot. Watch out for potholes. Lots of pot holes on the road leading up to the store and in their parking lot. Review #82 (2025)

I wish they had longer hours but I get it. I love that they are making native plants a huge priority, and have made not selling invasive species a thing! More nurseries could learn from them! They always have unique gifts as well and great pricing on bird seed and peanuts for local wildlife.

I call up the day before sheepishly wondering whether I could get "Something nice" delivered the next day. The woman on the other end explained that most of the deliveries they did were for interlocking stone, and that it would probably be unreasonably pricey to have some flowers or a plant delivered. But wait: where did my mother live? And what exactly was I looking for? Long story short: an inexplicably kind woman named Sam, and her horticulturalist friend Sierra, Not only helped me figure out what I wanted (here I was the stereotypical clueless male), but also sussed out that Sam lived near my parents, and would be happy to take several plants home with her, and to deliver the goods the morning of my mother's birthday. If you can believe it, there's actually a good deal more to the feel good story, but suffice to say that Sam's kindness left my head spinning. My teenaged daughter overheard to a good bit of the conversation I had when making my order, and remarked: "Canadians are always so nice". Yeah, maybe, but still: that kind of spirit is hard to find.

Then I tried to buy some other plants that were all priced, got to the till and was told they were incorrectly priced and I would have to pay more. Do not go here unless you want to be annoyed.

The Long Version: Given the name of the store, I expected more strange and unusual plants, but I had actually taken a look at their website before coming in, so I knew they didn't have Conophytums or other exotic Mesembs, but I still wanted to stop by to take a look. They may have had some unusual non-succulents, but I'm not particularly familiar nor interested in those types of plants, lol. The store is nicely arranged and staff were pleasant. They welcomed me as I entered and let me know they were available if I needed anything, but I was left to browse on my own, which I prefer anyway. I enjoyed looking around. They had several Curly Bonnie Spider Plants, and I admired how they were so compact and curly, while mine at home is a bit unruly with some straight leaves poking out, lol. They had some pretty pots, but they were a bit pricey for my budget ($14 for a small 2.5 inch pot). Plants looked well cared for. Street parking only. Review #119 (2025)

I wanted a cute plant with the pot .. and realized the pots are hand made and ceramic. It's a small local shop in Ottawa and it was super fabulous. The service was alright.. not very welcoming at first and they were pretty annoyed to see a customer and took a while to get help. The actual pot is a lil pricey but the plants are decently priced. The pot was like 42$ and plants varried between 5-13$ I got the Pink lady / callisia it was so beautiful and fell in love with it. Had to get it .. overall it a beautiful place but maybe get your pots / ceramics somewhere else as they're quite expensive !!

After walking around the store for a little while a (now available) salesperson came over to us. This elderly salesman wouldn't help us right away. After a moment of silly small talk, he asked me where I had parked my car and its exact location. My car was the only vehicle in the parking lot, but it couldn't be seen from the entrance. Next, the salesman privately spoke to a colleague or possibly the store manager, who went outside with a pen and paper writing down my license plate number. When the colleague / manager came back he said, "They have money. I got the information." Maybe these employees thought that I wasn't swift enough to pick-up on their disgusting conversation and behaviour. My wife and I left the store without buying anything due to what happened to us. Since this is how they treated potential repeat customers we won't be going back there again.

We were told that the order would take eight to ten weeks to complete. When this time had passed, I finally had to call the store. When I did I discovered the chair had just been received the day before ("isn't that a coincidence"). Given the price of the chair, I would have thought a two-minute call from the sales rep ahead of the delivery would have been in order... e.g., "Your order should be here soon. I'll call you the moment it comes in." When someone (not the sales rep) did call to schedule the delivery, I asked if the crew could take out the old chair. I was assured this would not be a problem. And to be fair, they did do as I asked, but begrudgingly. I had been prepared to tip them, but when the response to my request was a snarky "yeah, that seems to be the theme today," I decided not to. Overall, the delivery process left me with a negative feeling. On top of this, we received no information with the chair on its care or its warranty. Not impressed.
