I am giving my local Home Depot two stars, sorry team as a former employee your standards have dropped. The zombie greeter at the front door is perfectly positioned to keep the wall standing and the automatic doors constantly open. Not one single greeting was uttered upon arrival. The store overall is clean over all but getting run over by carts on the same aisle as you shop not pleasurable at all. One of your employees thought it good to drive a cart right behind us as we shopped for bulbs. He could of easily just gone on the other side of the merchandise. What happened to your employees not following customers on a narrow aisle. Geez!! I will say I love the self check out vs standing in line waiting to have all our items scanned. On that note you've earned another star. Just get the staff to be just a bit more happy to be employed( Especially during this pandemic). It might not be the job they want but it's currently the job they have. So make it better than they expect it to be. Smiles are optional! read more

We had a terrible experience a few months ago returning a Penske moving truck with a Home Depot employee named James. Because we didn't see any markings in the parking lot indicating where to park Penske returns, we pulled up to the front and put our hazards on, making sure we weren't blocking any entrances, loading zones, or roads. James immediately gave off the vibe that he wasn't happy and made it apparent he was annoyed that we were dropping off a truck. He ran outside the store to the parking lot without saying a word, and we followed him, not knowing if we needed to do anything. He immediately approached the truck and began complaining about where we had parked. He told us we needed to get back in, drive the 26-foot truck with a car trailer attached through the crowded parking lot to the back, detach and drop off the trailer in one specific area, and then park the truck in another area between two other Penske trucks. My husband had just driven the truck and trailer over 2,000 miles from the West Coast, but he obliged and got back in to move the truck through the busy lot. James walked to the back of the lot and stood directly behind the truck, looking irritable with his arms crossed, as my husband navigated this massive 26-foot truck and attached trailer through the crowded lot. James gave absolutely no direction or help at all. As we maneuvered into a tight spot, my husband repeatedly looked out his open window at James for some guidance since he was standing right behind us, but James didn't provide any assistance whatsoever. After we successfully backed the trailer into the spot and detached it, James began complaining that the trailer was not parked appropriately and that we needed to readjust it. I asked him why he hadn't given us a little direction since he was standing directly behind us where we were parking, pointing out that I was the one who had to get out of the vehicle to direct my husband. James just began muttering under his breath, so I got back into the truck and told my husband to go ahead and park the main truck. After navigating through the crowded parking lot again, my husband parked the Penske in its designated area--still with zero guidance from James. The second we got out of the cab, James started accusing my husband of crashing into another vehicle. I got out because I didn't think I had heard him right; we most definitely did not crash into another truck. As we stepped out, James aggressively insisted that we had just sideswiped another Penske truck on our left side (keep in mind, James was standing on the right side of our vehicle with absolutely no visibility of the left side). I corrected him, stating there was no way we had crashed and that we would have known it if we had. He then started claiming that he heard the impact and saw the other truck "shake." Next, James ran up to a truck that we weren't even near and started pointing out scuffs around the front of the fenders, claiming we had done the damage. I told him that was absolute bullshit and immediately began taking photos, walking around all four corners of the truck to show that the exact same scuff marks were on all four fenders. I then took videos of the other Penske trucks in the lot (all of which had identical scuffs around their fenders), assuring me further that we had not just crashed. James then suddenly beelined back into Home Depot from the back of the parking lot, leaving us looking around between cars wondering where he had gone. When we eventually made our way back into the store, we found James on the phone with Penske, submitting an official complaint to a representative and claiming that we had crashed into another truck and caused damage. I insisted on speaking to the Penske representative and got on the phone. I assured her that we had not crashed into another truck and explained that my husband had just navigated across the entire country without a single incident. I then emailed her the photos and videos of the trucks involved so she could review them herself. She agreed that there was no damage on the trucks and confirmed that the scuff marks--visible on all four corners of both trucks' fenders--were quite common and not signs of an accident. The Penske representative assured us that there was no damage and that we were good to go. At that point, James began to backpedal, but we had had enough and left the store. This was single-handedly the worst experience I've ever had with a store associate. Not only was he extremely rude, but he completely refused to help us or give us any guidance to avoid this stressful situation. If he had "chosen" another truck that actually had real damage, we would have been held financially liable to pay for damages we did not cause. My husband and I were very rattled for several hours following this interaction, and James was entirely to blame. read more

I bought a new washing machine from them. I bought extra: a metal hose, take away old washer, and a 3 yr protection plan (90 day purchase or cancel). Home Depot in Canton Riverstone Store needs to check out delivery service. The two men who delivered were acting "high". They was saying crazy things, laughing, and acting funny. They were bringing washer in. I told them they were to take old one out. They said it wasn't on their list. Hose? Not on list.I said I want to check it out for dents etc.He said No, he didn't make dents. He kept saying he was here to make trouble. He didn't have a name on shirt or Home Depot on shirt. I asked his name. He said Trouble was his name. He said I would have to wait on Maytag to come before using it. Laughing. He put it wash room. Hose inside washer. He took old washer after I said I would call store. After he left I called store. They gave me Warehouse #. They made report and gave me HD hotline. They put me on hold. After waiting 1 hr. I hung up. They never called back. I'll not shop there again. read more

I'll start by saying I love Home Depot. But this location is full of lazy, unhelpful people. The Home Depot off Sixes Road is far more helpful. I guess it's the sign of a good economy. The dregs of the labor market make being lazy an option. This is the 6th or 7th occurrence of no customer service at this location. Lowe's is also around the corner from me. read more

My husband went in about a month ago to return pine straw we didn't use, and in the process it was determined that whoever rang him up charged him for a cheaper product. When he didn't offer to pay the difference the older lady "helping" him behind the customer service counter called his morality into question, and as my husband walked out told her coworker that "he basically stole from us". We've been Home Depot customers for years and years, the Riverstone location specifically, but I can guarantee we will never step foot back in this store. read more

Can't imagine shopping there again after nightmare appliance situation. They delivered a defective refrigerator, left it as a loaner, said I would be contacted for replacement. Just to cover all bases I called within half an hour of the delivery. After a few days and no one contacting me I call back and they say the delivery person never put in the notes they should have. 50 minutes on the phone and they finally figured it out and said that someone will contact me within the next day. Several days later I have to call back again and another 50 minutes on the phone because there are yet again zero notes in the system. At this point they claim I'm stuck with it and have to deal with the warranty! And this is with my phone records of the calls and pictures of the loaner paperwork etc. Took a few weeks for someone to finally correct the situation (they were great thus 2 stars). By then the refrigerator is on backorder and I had to wait like another 6 weeks. It's finally here. Only got a quick 'sorry that happened' for all the headache. Fingers crossed I never have to do anything with HD again. read more

I made an appointment with Home Depot for a contractor to come out and give an estimate for building a fence. They told me it would take a few weeks to get a contractor and I was fine with this. I booked the appointment and took the day off. The day finally comes and the contractor cancels last minute and tells me that home depot will have to reschedule because that's not his job. Home Depot never called me to reschedule or anything and the contractors they choose to work with are clearly unreliable. Very disappointed. Will not be going through Home Depot for any of my construction projects with my new home. read more

Since moving to Canton a couple of months ago, I have needed to shop at The Home Depot a few times. They are always spot on. Again today I needed a few things and received excellent help. Susie knew exactly what I was describing and went with me. Then Joseph knew exactly what I needed in plumbing. Showed me the choices and described the difference between them. I was able to quickly pick exactly the size and style perfect for my need. I appreciate the knowledgeable, professional, courteous help I always experience when shopping at The Home Depot. read more

If it was possible to give the store zero stars, I would do that. The customer service at this location is horrific. I would avoid it at all cost. Trying to avoid crowds and COVID exposure I placed a pick up order. After waiting 20 minutes outside after using their check in procedure, and not being able to reach anyone at the store, I walked in. I then waited another ten minutes in the customer service area, and finally was able to get the product. I received a cursory sorry, but I would never use them again. Don't waste your time with a pick up order. Use amazon or Lowe's instead. read more

On July 25, 2018 while shopping at Home Depot store 0145 in Canton Ga I was mislead or lied to by a salesperson about receiving a military discount while making a purchase. After closely examining my receipt I noticed that the salesperson had overcharged me 10% in order to give me a so called 10% military discount. After requesting to speak with a manager I was informed that a military discount is not offered on merchandise that is on sale. I then informed the manger that I was not told this by the salesperson and that I felt like I was being mislead into believing that I was receiving a discount. The salesperson even thanked me for my service. Veterans please beware when shopping at Home Depot and when you are being offered a 10% military discount make sure to check your receipts to ensure that this mark up in price doesn't happen to you. I returned the purchase and went to Lowe's and was given an honest military discount. I will advise all veterans that I know or meet to not shop at Home Depot. Went in for paint today (12/22/19) and was ignored by Charity and Mark in the paint department for almost 15 minutes. Charity walked up to the counter where I was standing three times with out speaking to me. Mark made eye contact with me several times with out ever speaking or nodding his head to at least acknowledge I was standing there. Then out of no where Charity looks up and speaks to a customer walking up behind me. Looked right through me and the wife. Upon finishing with said customer I asked her if I had some how offended her or Mark. She replied that they were busy. I then asked why she had been ignoring me or why she hadn't greeted me...to which she replied "like wise" implying that I should have greeted her. I will not be visiting this Home Depot again. We left and drove the Home Depot in Holly Springs where the team there was at least 2 decades younger than Charity and Mark but far more polite...they actually greeted me as I approached the paint counter. read more

Worst customer service. We spent over an hour looking at wood, getting measurements so that we'd have the right amount and not waste any wood. After 10+ minutes, a lady came to help us get the wood cut. I work in customer service so I get having bad days but being rude to customers when they are showing respect and kindness is SO unnecessary. This employee was throwing pieces of wood around, rolling her and did not care to double check with us on the measurements. After telling her how many pieces and how many inches they needed to be, every piece came out incorrect. We weren't even upset about the measurements but the way we were treated and spoken to was so inappropriate. If the employee would have taken 2 minutes to drop the attitude and actually talk with us, everything could have been avoided. read more

Used to be a 4+, But they OBVIOUSLY lost concern for the customers. Hiring B*ITCHES in heat to run the register #2, @ 4:45 pm 8-8-19. The front end manager was the ONLY saving grace!!! The other B*ITCH was rude, hateful, careless about how long she kept people waiting in line, (rung up PART of their order, then walked off. Go screaming at me when I TOLD HER (5x) I didn't have the receipt yet, it'd not been paid for. I had 3 other buggies, intending to purchase the contents of ALL 4 buggies together. (LOTS of yard/landscape things.) This hateful WITCH was SO clueless, she NEVER DID, nor could understand that I didn't have a receipt...that it had not been paid for. EVEN TELLING HER...I'd been down to tool rental to "CHECK ON" the price for rental of an aerator, and ALL SHE COULD DO, was ask, "Well do you have the receipt for that? AGAIN..I told her I JUST WENT TO CHECK THE PRICE. I didn't buy it, nor rent it, nor even reserve it. OBVIOUSLY this woman WAS/IS not well!!! (idiot actually, but trying to be I would T trust her skills to ring up an order, even IF she was otherwise nice about ANYTHING. Either they can't find ANYONE else with quality people skills, or wise this woman has connections or knows something on someone. read more

Although they unfortunately didn't have the item I was looking for, when I looked like I was having trouble finding what I was looking for, someone came over to me and asked if there was something they could help me with. When I explained what I was looking for, the associate took me to where what I was looking for could be found. To add to that, when I was looking for something he didn't know if they had, he called someone over from in the department to see if they could help as well. Within three minutes, that person had come by and joined us. As I mentioned above, they didn't have what I was looking for, but they did everything they could to assist. I will definitely be back here to get things for the house. read more

This Home Depot is well stocked. The employees could be more helpful. They are often difficult to find and a few times they've been unable to help me. I know this isn't an Ace but I do expect a certain level of basic knowledge from the staff. It's convenient to me so it will remain my Home Depot. It does have a tool rental section the Sixes location does not. read more

One of the things I like about Home Depot is their return policy. Often I am not exactly sure if I am buying the right part, or if I should buuy the one in the next bin instead. In that case, I'll just get both of them and on my next trip, return the one that didn't work. If I've lost my receipt, they'll give me a HD gift card for the amount of the return, no argument. read more

it' 11:10 pm and still have not received the Washed we purchased more than 2 weeks ago . first they said it would be deliver between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm . then they said between 8:00 and 10:45 .. Really.. I'm gonna stay up all night for this . It's now 11:20pm and no one is here and no one has called .I called the store and they said we can cancel it and wait 2 more weeks .. What ? where is the customer service .. they don't care .. they said it's a 3rd party and they have no control over it . I say it's a reflection of your store . Again , they blame it on the 3rd party and if I cancel I have to wait another 2 weeks . I can say this , I will never buy from Home Depot again , because apparently they have no control over who they contract to deliver the merchandise . buyer beware before you purchase and try to get it delivered .. I would go to another place like Lowe's and see if they can help you. they just increased my limit .. Ordered a washer and dryer 6 weeks ago and they were suppose to be delivered a week ago. The washer got damaged and they did not deliver. Rescheduled for this week and never showed up nor did we get a phone call. And they charged our credit card last month! And what are they willing to do in return? Nothing! Within minutes we were approached by Debbie, who did not have the answer to our question. She explained she had been working only two months and wanted to make sure she was giving us the correct answer to our questions; however, she knew her partner associate could answer our questions. Debbie stayed with us until the additional associate, Danny, was able to help us. They were both wonderful, very knowledgeable, and courteous. We walked out with exactly what we needed. We rented a machine from store #0145 Canton,Ga Riverstone location and they wrongfully charged us an extra $100.00 by mistake, they said that it doesn't show it in their system, however it is in our bank statement right there in black and white. This whole debacle has put my bank account into overdraft, we now have no money for my diabetes medicine and groceries because of their mess up. My husband has been on the phone with management and has taken time out of his busy schedule and time off work to meet with management, we are now on Day 4 and nothing has been resolved. They now tell him to come back to the store and meet with their accountant, there goes another inconvenience and more time off work! If I could give this store zero stars I would. read more

Don't buy anything at this store that you will need to load in the loading area, because this is where everyone parks to shop, and management does nothing about it. They could care less if you have to push the load to the parking lot to load. I will not be back to buy anything that needs to be loaded in the loading area, many other places to shop. read more

I'm very disappointed how this was handled. I've spend tens of thousands of dollars at HD this past year as a contractor and I have never had this kind of issue. I bought a push mower this past July or August. I couldn't get it to work even after having winterized it and everything. I had a 1 year warranty so instead of messing with it myself I decided to drop it off at 6am after talking with a service tech the night before. They charged me $18 which they said would be refunded when I picked it up. I didn't get a phone call all day so I stopped in about 6pm that same day. They said they haven't even looked at it. The person the night before said they would at least take a look at it to see if it's a simple fix or not. Well the way I was describing how it would not turn over they said it sounded like bad gas affecting the carburetor. Then they said bad gas voided the warranty and I would be charged all the fee's which would've been about $100. They kept arguing with me even though I followed their recommendations for winterizing and use of gas. They eventually agreed to give me my mower and $18 back even though they weren't happy about it. I took it to the Sears service and they agreed to just look at it and a few minutes later they brought it back out working properly. I filed a complaint with corporate which they said they would get back to me, which they still haven't. I never have and never will buy a large item like that again from HD. They stink when it comes to problems. read more
